Melodies seemed to be banned from all music sometime in the late 90s or early 2000s.

Rap has NEVER had a melody, and rock hasn't had it in 10 years. That's why i quit listening to the fucking radio

In general, I never did like Billy Idol's style of music, even back in the 1980's. However, having an ear for music, I can say that Idol had a wonderful singing voice, and had a great vibrato to his 1980's style of music. As for the sneer and pained look in his eyes? It always did make me wonder what hell he survived through in his life, that such pain manifested in such a despairing look in the eyes, that revealed far more than he could ever utter in a physical word, even in his songs....

I'll give a comment! - I immediatly snapped on my Cyber Acoustic headphones and was SO glad to hear it in HQ ... Upon release I fell in love with the melody, the dark augmented minor chord trance leading into that famous major chord rock riff. EZ swing pop, Idol at his best, great number for him vocally, his sound is forward placed, breath control,timing and push is just right for him, which produces his midrange to shine. I play this on guitar ... thanks for the wayback machine bro ...loved it.

I never did like Billy Idol's style of music per se. But the vibrato in his voice, and the tone sound of his voice-despite his music style-I absolutely loved!!! This one is my utmost favourite song of his. As for why he has a sneer? Looking into his eyes in this video...I wonder what hell he went through in his life, that he could have such a profound singing voice, and still have that tortured look in his eyes, and sneer on his face. Maybe it truly "is what it is''....
