  • My Bloody Vacuum Cleaner

  • MBV made some amazing tracks on this album. just so unique and heart felt music. i dont see how anyone could dislike this you actually have to listen to it to understand not just take it as a noise,

  • Marvellous!

  • I've always maintained that if they took out the fuzz and got Kate Bush to sing their songs pretending they were hers people would them her masterpiece. They are in fact proper songwriters...

  • CRUSTIEEEES. Everyone's forgotten about them except me.

  • it drones on for about a minute longer than it should, but damn it is good.

  • I whole-heartedly agree with all of these things so positively said. I have dreamed for many years of finding this song somehow, and now that the internet has been invented, and youtube created and administrated, and google implemented, I am now in that state of bliss I only imagined was possible those earth orbits ago, through which, on some subconscious level, I posit, I was so thankfully, so gratefully, so pre-cognitively aware that this day would come, and that I would be in it. Greg Fives

  • this sucks

  • i love how they made the lyrics so hard to hear, and put in the extra effort to make them incredible so they're actually rewarding to figure out.

  • I still can not believe this came out a whole 20 years ago. Incredible!

  • @gabishmabi yeah, lots of shogazey stuff from this era sounds a bit dated but this doesn't

  • fuck you smg

  • Just now finding this band.

    Mind=Blown.

  • This song and the whole album still sounds so fresh. Its like it came out last month not 20 years ago

  • The last part reminds me of the opening chords of Paul Kantner's "Holding Together", a song which was released twenty years before this album, which was released twenty years before right now.

  • what ever happend to music, its all youre x factor CRAP NOW,its time for another music revolution, its over to you young music makers, lets put real music back on the planet

  • @user6971it No one cares about the X Factor...

  • This is like being hugged by feedback (and I'm sure that's just a guess at the lyrics LOL)

  • does anyone else ever hear living after midnight at the end of the song?

  • this song is equal to anything that has been done by the beatles. it's not about being beautiful. it's about having universal qualities.

  • This song is fantastic....

  • Beauty in chaos

  • To tell you the truth..i came here cause of Final Fantasy Vii. cause the Loveless quotes appears at FF and i thought it would be related..but not at all! Disappointed!

  • @MrRaynof Cool. Nobody cares.

  • @crassisdead No no, you misunderstood! its perfect!!!! i just assumed it was related..thats all!

  • @MrRaynof Oh, lol. I thought you were saying this sucked or something. Sorry!

  • to me this song is like a drowsy but vibrant firestorm of noise

i can't stop listening to loveless

  • There will never be a better song. Ever.

  • This is the greatest 5 minutes of awful noise I have ever heard.

  • This song is like drowning in a sea of pink noise.

  • Listening to Loveless is like shoving a little ball into your ear. A little ball made of happiness and love that melts inside of you and travels all through out your body. That's the only way I can describe how I feel when listening to this album.

  • Best song on the album, by far

  • Mystic journey

  • Oh my god. It's like Boards of Canada birthed by a vacuum cleaner. It's so pretty!

  • This song is an example of the genre for most of my playlist: a haunting sound that combines melancholy and hapiness; the genre captivates only some, and relies on the soul, not the body.

  • It's just a vast expanse of sound. It's every feeling imaginable all at the same time.

  • Best one on loveless. The way it begins, it's so amazing.

  • I can't believe its only been 3 months since I first listened to Loveless in its entirety.. its become part of me and sent my life into a spiral that only now I am beginning to make sense of.

  • Maybe the single greatest rock song ever composed.

  • it's like a daydream-- incidental daydream

  • Beguilling

  • Ahh. This is pure feeling... I freaking love it.

If anyone has tremolo ep there's an alternate interlude at the end of this song... It's amazing aswell.

  • Most people already have a deep connection to this music simply from listening or sinking into all its layers, and it only becomes more complex and meaningful when each song off this album brings you back to a very specific moment in your life. This song reminds me of one particular night in crystal clarity - it's almost like Kevin created the musical equivalent of scents and fragrances. Thank you for uploading.

  • I love that MBV's music can leave things up to the listener. It really requires an imagination. I bought a reverse reverb pedal and I love playing along to Loveless and Isn't Anything. Of course it doesn't sound anywhere near as lush as MBV but if you turn up your head phones and play along it sounds like your really contributing and almost making a new song.

  • I always and will love this track...the outro is probably the embodiment of all bittersweet nostalgia I experienced in my life. Absolute heart-stopper.

  • Nothing on God's green earth ever sounded like this. Lushness. Nineties was lacking in many ways, but MBV and Kevin Shields produced this one album of real nirvana. If true art were compensated equitably, he would own- and deserve- more than all of U2.

  • i use this song to make out with my girlfriend... and it's amazing

  • it's almost like it was made for moments like that. :)

  • totally magic

  • this is love

  • @ geez421 i agree too true.

This song really gets me caught up and helps me loose myself into focus (if that makes sense) it's somehow very zen... i always love the perfect transition from loomer to touched(the interlude but i consider it a fucking song it's all 1 masterwork anyway) right into this song. perfect album-song placement... it really does count how you place songs in the context of an album. and this album ended with it's biggest risk taker and cacthiest song (soon)..thats genius!

  • i got see them live.. on lots of e... amazing..best show ever...god they are beautiful! i showed them to a friend and they said they were "creepy" i cant comprehend how they could be creepy..

  • An Un-developed musical brain wouldn't know good music if it hit them in the face, no offense to your friend.

  • I'm quoting someone else here, but smoking weed and listening to this song is the closest you'll come to experiencing life as a bumblebee.

  • so im not the only one that goes to songmeanings.... :P

  • @Supaduck0 i totally see that, the drone of the hive.

  • @Supaduck0 Ha you're right !!

  • @Supaduck0 i always thought that about daydream nation

  • @phucketification I don't see it in DN, but it is a fucking amazing album

  • @Supaduck0 not the entire album but sections like cross the breeze'

  • @Supaduck0 Buzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  • @Supaduck0

fucl that lsd or shrooms might but not weed

  • @Supaduck0 This quote, i'll use for everything..i heard that eating that hotdog is the closes you'll ever be as a bumblebee

  • They spent so much time in the studio it drove them to bankruptcy.

  • Loveless was a rare treat.

  • firecat, Loveless is still a beautiful treat!

  • Firecat00, Loveless is still a rare and wonderful treat!! Ive heard nothing better since it was released, fucking bliss!!

  • I just noticed today while listening to this album that the guitar in the back ground sometimes sounds like the t-rex from jurrasic park haha (can't really hear it on youtube though)

  • I know, that's so brutal. I praise their work for their effort and ofcourse the music.

  • Thanks for putting these songs up on youtube again. Most of them were removed about a year ago. Cheers

  • It's one of the better songs on the album. I'm not a great fan of What You Want...

  • Creating new sounds, totally original to me.

  • everyone flips their shit for seemingly every song on the album except this one, and it's always been my favorite. maybe that's why, it's like a little lost child in the middle of loveless. not saying it doesn't belong, but it seems so different from the rest. it's barely even really a song, more of just a display of thousands of feelings at once. this track never gets old.

  • @oddmanout1792

IMO it really isn't as good as some of the other songs on the album. Still good though, and if there's any lost child in Loveless, it's "Touched."

  • it took over 4 months to record, and i know what you mean. this is my favorite track on the album and to me is the epitome of what they created. the layers of shimmer are so deep, it's seriously intoxicating. hearing this song live high off my ass was one of the most memorable experiences of my life that i hardly remember. peace and love bro.

  • 4 months isnt that long :P

  • for one track? it most certainly is.

  • oh i thought u meant the whole album sorry

  • Great tune.

Not that i've heard any bad ones from them=)

  • So true, this song in itself is on another level. Absolute bliss, dancing notes, danceable drum beat buried by 1000 dB of guitar noise. My only comment is that this was done in 91' and I have yet (and I have been waiting) to have heard anything as ground breaking as this.

  • mountErrigal, I have to agree with you, nothing has come close to this special piece of music. This record is the best thing I have ever heard!! Utter brilliance. Im just glad I have this for the rest of my life, nothing will better it!

  • @MountErrigal i think you just unlocked the secret of writing great shoegaze music. thank you !

  • @MountErrigal Not to compare or anything, but Kid A

  • I've been waiting to evry day every single year to see the bar reset for not just this sound but all music of the eraly 90's late 80's/underground/indie era. Fact that keeps hitting me though is this sound era and even the type of young musicians perspectives on society and music itself... has changed... and obviously for the worse. Even with no impartial biasness to nostalgia for the era you grew up in I feel all MBV fans can agree music has done down, in expected quality & depth of imagination

  • I hear what your saying, you have a valid point. I just hope guys like you and I are not turning into old fellas who moan that "in our day music was such and such..."

But I think its too late as we are doing it now aren't we!

    LOLOLOL

  • @oddmanout1792 always been one of my favorites on the album. i think it fits the pattern nicely though, not lost child.

  • @oddmanout1792 I love this song, the feedback track in the backgroud makes my head spin

  • @oddmanout1792 This is one of my favorite songs. Whats amazing is that MBV were able to create orchestral effects with feedback....

  • @oddmanout1792 Are you serious? I've heard and read many, many people say that this was their favorite song by MBV.

  • @oddmanout1792

funny that you mention this because upon listening to Loveless the first time around I merely looked past To Here Knows When. But with subsequent listens I fell in love with this song, and to be honest I think it's the centerpiece of this album. While it may not be a fan favorite of sorts, this song is very representative of what MBV is, sonically and emotionally. I think this and 'sometimes' are the best songs on the album

  • i love the Outro for this song on the tremolo ep .

  • lyrics are very good

  • Who needs weed when we have music like this. This does everything music should do. Perfect.

  • How about this music -and- weed?

  • i agree with bnugia2

  • Comment removed

  • @holypaper how about this music and LSD? it sounds more like an acid trip than a petty weed session

  • @Akatosh86 a weed 'session', bah!

  • @Akatosh86 You might wish to consider this song, LSD *and* weed...

  • Wow! Brilliant!! Mad genius!!! I remember showing this album to a couple stoned friends and we all went out of our minds!

  • it sUx that the video is not available :*( ..

  • I dream this song

  • one of the greatest songs ever. Just cacophonic beauty. Doesn't strike you at first but in time it wins you over.

  • So other-worldy and beautiful

  • Jaw-droppingly sublime. Bottomless.

It's like a tour of the surface of the sun.

  • The best love making song.

  • Yeah I think I see it too.. First time hearing these guys.

  • i will always remember the beauty of this track

  • i'm glad you found the beauty in this track.....next time your on a long distance flight......the wall of sound from this noisy track coupled with the noise of the aircraft and with a couple of glasses of chilled white wine inside you..........you'll feel good!

  • i can totally imagine that :)

not much of a wine drinker though, probably be a couple screwdrivers for me.

  • I didn´t get this song when I first listened to it. But now I think there are some kind of beauty in this noisy track, because of Bilinda's voice. It makes me feel in a rollercoaster.
