@HRMOKeefe1 Agree 100%. I was there in '07-08 with KBR in the Project Controls department. If someone is looking to make a documentary on expenses for the contract and the reasoning for those expenses, why not as the folks in PC who 1. create the estimates and tell the government how much something is going to cost and 2. IF the military wants to move forward with a project, they have to track the costs and report it to not only KBR but the military and DCMA auditors.

the reason why: because you are contributing to the whole true purpose of the Iraq war, enabled by leaders with a strong willingness to go to war: to profit from it. If that is the case then why not just be Russia or Iran. There is little different. I was in the military and the squadrons would use of fuel just to do so to justify maintaining their fuel quotas. There is one way the occupation of the mid east could end in a matter of weeks, by full scale mutiny , it would be that simple. It could start in a wave but build FAST.Example...a platoon gathers together to refuse to go on patrol and do their other military duties, and no one could keep that secret over there, the mutiny would spread to other platoons making a stand, then to others, then whole battalions would mutiny. The Taliban harbored terrorists that attacked the US, and under Article 5 all NATO members by extent. And WTF is a UN troop? There has never been a "UN Troop" in the middle east or anywhere else. If someone is looking to make a documentary on expenses for the contract and the reasoning for those expenses, why not as the folks in PC who 1. create the estimates and tell the government how much something is going to cost and 2. IF the military wants to move forward with a project, they have to track the costs and report it to not only KBR but the military and DCMA auditors.

@LAConfederate I would also point out that, as of the end of 2008, access into the AO was via flights from Dubai where we stayed in adequate but not "lavish" hotel rooms. Orientation happened in Houston, then a few hours in Dubai, then a briefing at Camp Liberty when you got to the BTC.
The former procurement specialist can be blamed for a lot because Project Controls provided them with a budget to stay within that was approved by the military and based off recent purchase prices.

an apartment complex, but it was 4 or 5 per small apartment, also, we lived in small hooches, one room about 150 square foot, shared bathroom with one other person...some of them didn't have their own showers/bathrooms, but we shared with everyone in the housing area. I listened to this and honestly, some of it was true, but about 85 percent of this is TOTAL BS.

There is one way the occupation of the mid east could end in a matter of weeks, by full scale mutiny , it would be that simple. It could start in a wave but build FAST.Example...a platoon gathers together to refuse to go on patrol and do their other military duties, and no one could keep that secret over there, the mutiny would spread to other platoons making a stand, then to others, then whole battalions would mutiny. I think its a good think when american troops (or any NATO or UN troops) are killed its a good thing and needs to happen more, the sovereign people of the middle east have the right to defend against their occupier the troops who do nothing but harass and kill the natives...i am on the side of the "brown people' on this one....just think if the united states was occupied by a foreign power, would you just let them oppress you or would you resist...the onlything worse than the troops are the PMC

@suckmydick1138 Although the US has no reason the be in Iraq, NATO's presence in Afghanistan is more then justified. The Taliban harbored terrorists that attacked the US, and under Article 5 all NATO members by extent. And WTF is a UN troop? There has never been a "UN Troop" in the middle east or anywhere else. There's the Blue Beret, but that's peace keepers, there in the war zone but they can't really do anything, there just there.

@suckmydick1138 The Blue Berets are just sent to areas to stop conflicts (To date it has only worked in Cyprus). I'm not saying there's no corruption, but it's hard to be when your only a dozen men in a war zone. And the whole sex slave thing is an isolated case from the Balkans that is, although wrong, nothing when compared to what the Serbs have done. Although if you see a Blue Beret walking down a street in the US, there's a 99% chance he or she is in the US Army or an Ally (Canada, UK, ect.)

What I would suggest is that you start to think about what is wrong with this system, why Cheney was the CEO of KBR (Halliburton is a sister company) before the invasion and what mechanisms trigger international politics/policies these days. I'm sorry but too many US troops are brainwashed. I've talked to some of them that come back and they say disturbing things like "its amazing to know that I can kill anyone in this room." The reason why the chow hall got blown up is because we didn't check haji coming through the chow hall line. KBR and Haliburton didn't blow up the chow hall, some haji did.
