Nancy Sinatra was /is Franks daughter: the original guitar player was a session player called Billy Strange--it was played on a Gibson ES-335 that Nancy gace to Billy. He used an outboard Vox tremolo unit and they did this in one take.

im assuming your using a vox...what do you have your speed and depth set on the tremelo??

yeah using vox...use tremolo+reverb and set depth n speed on about half...

actually i think it's a rotary speaker but tremolo works just as well

The original is played with tremolo, exactly as he is playing it. Rotary speakers sound completely different. It would help you to recognize the sound if you listen closely at a vintage Hammond organ. They were equipped with this kind of speaker effects.
