I Was There. I was right in front. It was one of the only shows there that had festival seating. It was a mad house. Ozzy kept looking down at us [Me & Wyndorf ] as we were getting crushed against the wooden barricades they used that one and only time [that I remember].]
wow never heard this ,,man they were feeln good that night , great board mix , the they take nothing and make it rock the fuck out ,pure bloody magic.
I discovered this song played a little bit faster (I think) on the "Live at last" album. They played this, a jazzy guitar improvisation, Supernaut and some more goodies on a very extended version of "Wicked World".
Man ive never heard this before! reminds me a bit of the end of sabbra caddabra in its feel. Theres a good few of these unused sabbath songs kicking around. About time the band did something about cleaning them up and releasing them!
It's part of a jam session sabbath would commonly use live b/w '73 and '75. Check it out on the Bagdad bootleg (Caljam 74) called supernaut jam 2. But check out supernaut jam 1 on the same album...that is an amazing groove session before Tony blisters off into a frenzied solo.
This song can be found on "Live at Last" during the extended break in "Wicked World", re-released as "Past Lives". However, this is a different version; it's slower than the "LAL/PL" version and has different lyrics. It's conceivable that it's the blue-print for the second half of "Symptom of the Universe", you can hear the similarity, but it's presumptuous to assume that's definitely the case. This is a really cool version, wicked riff/groove.
The quality on this is awesome! It would be great to have the Live at Last "First Love" lyrics version at this high of quality!
Also, the effects are great! Trippy as hell! You should have thrown some of the blur effects in there like you have on some of the other ones, and it would be perfect!
im sure they made a lot more stuf that wasn't put on album, it's a shame though things had to turn out like they did. they could have done so much more together
Is that the show used on the 81 " Live at Last" show from Nebs? I think they perform it in the middle of Warning/Wicked World??? I dunno, gotta dig out my vinyl now.
@MuztyRair This version is unreleased to my knowledge, but there is also a good version in the middle of Wicked World on the "Live at Last" and "Past Lives" CDs.
what he meant to say is that its during a live performance of wicked world, not sure exactly which one but its forsure wicked world after the lil jazz breakdown :o
Don't forget to check out the other Sabbath videos I've posted :) awesome live versions of Snowblind, Spiral Architect, Children of the Grave and Paranoid
I've heard this before, I think under the title "What's The Use?"
Great upload anyway! I've been looking for a version of this on youtube!! :)

Ozzy's vocal melodies on this are WAY better than the "live at last" version! His lyrics are another story entirely though.
