  • Yeah this movie is pointless and painful to watch. Especially the asian girl's story, wut was all that about?

  • This movie is ridiculously stupid and pointless, it is also innapropriate. There goes about 2 hours of my life.

  • @Christian7thSF Sure, you're a kid, he'll grow

  • De las mejores peliculas que he visto,es magistral esta historia +1000

  • I'm about to watch this right now haven't seen it in years so I'm watching the trailer

  • koji yakusho is so fine

  • "If you want to be understood... listen."

  • The moroccan actors did a great job too :)

  • Yes, this movie can be dumb for dumbasses. No wonder americans can't understand it. Go watch Jersey Shore, everything is explained there

  • An amazing film! Great performances too, Adriana Barraza and Rinko Kikuchi the best in my opinion! I hope that Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu goes on with another film like this.

  • Brad Pitt is so underrated...

  • please, what's the name of the music at 1:44?

  • if there was a direct connection with the deaf girl story, it would have been better. But, you know when the jap guy sees the american family on tv in the bar, just for a second, it made me think about people we see on tv and we dont think too much about them. That was the only connection I made, along with the pictures the arab police officer shows the guy he beats and the pics on the wall in japanese house. Great movie!

  • @mooyldz the deaf girl father is the one who gave the gun to the man.and the man sell the gun to the boys and their father... that's the connection the deaf girl has to the story

  • A most under-appreciated movie

  • does anyone know similar movies like this? I really enjoyed watching four different story lines in one film

  • @mohammadzafar Alejandro's first two films: Amores Perros and 21 Grams.

There are European and other films shot in a similar style, and another film Alejandro was executive producer: Mother and Child directed by Rodrigo Garcia

  • One of the most underrated movies ever created. The ending is just outstanding.Unbelievable acting, music, venues, camerawork, dub, places, story, takes you in another level of art.Can not believe it only has a 67% in Metacritic. One of my favorites films.Ever.

  • @AliothSenator I agree 100%.

  • @AliothSenator the background music is really awesome.

  • i loved that japanese girl

  • i when to see it and when i came out i was shoked, the the anglosaxon people keept saying what a long boring movie i was so upset i almost told the to go ans whatch vin disen on xxx whith the explosions and the american flag... people do not apreciate god cinema only entertaining empti garbage aver here on the usa ( most of them not all of curse )

  • Films that are based on reality are often looked down because it's not filled with action or beautiful special effects. In my personal opinion, these are the best movies because it shows a side of the world that not many people are aware of and that in itself is shocking. I love movies like these

  • @yanfeb15 i totally agree personally i liked this movie like a million times better than the hurt locker

  • One of the best movies out there. The part of the Mexican wedding is very realistic, alot like what you would see in a small town in Mexico.

  • @Deathtoraiden1 im sorry, were you describing the movie, or real life?? hopefully that will help you understand now

  • Thought it would be good just cuz brad pitt is in it. But it was a really boring movie...

  • @SNIP3INAT0R ...I dont think you got the point of the movie then

  • ahaaa eu quero ver esse filme !

  • great trailer--- shit movie

  • Babylon. To confuse

  • Guillermo Arriaga is a genius !! Great script!!!

  • Masturbating incestuous toddlers, unshaved underage japanese pussy, headless chickens and Brad Pitt helping Cate Blanchett take a piss...

I did not get this movie.

  • @DeathtoRaiden1 I did, at the end, and it was very satisfying

  • what a great trailer

  • That director is a genius. It also helps that he has Gael Garcia Bernal in a lot of his movies ;)

  • @FranzFanFerdinand

only in 2 of his movies and it is the other way around he make gael garcia mon ami, and yes we have talent in latinamerica

  • @FranzFanFerdinand

He only cast gael garcia in two of his movies.Amores perros and this one .

  • @devilsown18 thank you for the information I already knew. I apologize that MY definition of a lot is 2.

  • I thought this was a western...this is clearly not a western

  • one day ima have a collection of most epic movies and this one is gonna be in it

  • i watched this movie for the 3rd time, and watching the trailer again want's me to see it again!

  • This trailer is not indicative of the style of the movie at all.

  • Moroccan and proud ><

  • Comment removed

  • Morocco =D

  • me and my sister left in the middle of the movie

  • @SheadyRast wtf, why?

  • @lovez2eat lol idk seriously i was a kid her friends and us left the middle of the movie

  • @SheadyRast yeah, I guess you have to have a certain age to like this film. I love it, though. :)

You've seen it again since then?

  • @lovez2eat nope want though

  • @SheadyRast idiots,morons,assholes dont hate appreciate

  • @starkingbiker i was a kid dumbass

  • شكله عجيب

  • Our Pastoral Care teacher made us watch this at school, and it was amazing. I am glad we did watch it.

  • this movie is a really good film. the reason why it is because the drama is so realistic and the whole movie shows how situations can be relaed all around the world.

  • I dont fucking get it

  • I saw this movie when i was thirteen.

  • I wish I did not see this movie. I couldn't breathe, but couldn't stop watching and after that I couldn't stop thinking about it.

  • i loved the movie. although i will always be bothered about what was written on the note that girl gave to the police officer at the end

  • @calvinhobbes888 She wrote "I know you rejected me because I have a hairy beaver but I can't shave because I get a horrible rash down there every time I do and it's just uncomfortable. I know you need to drink a lot of alcohol to get over the horror you saw so bottoms up!"

  • @calvinhobbes888 Well, I think that was point Alejandro made in that bit with the note. It allows us to think up what else could be wrong with Chieko (played by Rinko Kikuchi). Perhaps suicidal tendencies, but we'll never know. Great film overall!

  • @calvinhobbes888 I think there was written the truth that the girl indeed saw how her mother shot herself which became the reason she got deaf

  • @calvinhobbes888 fuck you

  • Yeah this movie sucked!!! Less story line please and more explosions!!!! Oh and some tities! I hate when I have to use my brain when I watch a movie so this movie sucked! Also I need to see explosions in the first 2 minutes otherwise I can't focus and I start thinking about who will win the upcoming NASCAR race!!

  • @cyberise psch. this movie was outstanding. glad to know you're all about the superficial stuff. you didn't have to use your brain that much to understand the movie. and i think movies with storylines are better than mindless explosions.

  • @lexy9210 I believe he is being sarcastic.

  • @MattTheGreat2008 oh thank god.

  • @cyberise ... hahaha typical american asshole... thats why your country slowly goes to shit.

  • @ruckstuhlmty wow, cyberise' comment was dripping with sarcasm you realize that right?

  • @ruckstuhlmty AMERICA IS NOTTTTTTTTTT A COUNTRY.. IT IS A CONTINENT..THE United States is A COUNTRY that it is located on THE AMERICAN continent...

  • @ruckstuhlmty You're comment is really funny, because you don't realize that cyberise's comment WAS A JOKE. You look like a pretty big idiot right now, haha.

  • They spelt BULLSHIT wrong.

  • DULLEST.FILM.EVER. Don't be fooled because Brad Pitt is included in the cast. Biggest waste of time to watch. a bit like 21 grams in the sense of overly-slow moving plot, but even more frustrating..

  • you know this movie is actually amazing, but one problem, The Japan part, why? just why is that needed, it's basically 2 movies in one and i skipped pasted the japanese scenes towards the end. lady shot in Morocco, children are in america and the nany has to go to a wedding and on her way back from mexico with the children some stuff occur and they're in big trouble. brad pitt and his wife are fighting to get help and eventually do. then you just randomly get these japanese scene :/

  • @MoroccanStarFRMF In the last half hour they explain why they showed it, because it's somehow connected with the other story. Even I thought "Wtf?", but movies MUST BE WATCHED FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END. Watch it again, and watch also the Japan Part. I don't want to say what's the connection.

  • @AngusYoungForMayor see my problem was i watched it online and there were no subtitles, i under stand Moroccan arabic and of course english, so thoes scenes made sense, the mexican part was very easy to get hold of even without subtitles. so to be honest i'm critising the japanese part but after your explanation i guess i didn't get the whole storyline.

  • Wtf did that japanese girl write to the cop in the end? :S

  • what did brad pitt and his wife say in the beginning?

  • @loukas8804 Nobody can tell me what i am. I am Macedonian and always will be :)

  • Does anyone now the name of the song playing throughout this trailer? if it is the same song all the way through. Specifically the song at the beginning? :)

  • @loukas8804 oh no man i am the one who is sorry i should have read all of the comments...yes he started it...sorry about that man....maybe we r bros and siss but excluding him...excuse him for his foolishness

  • @loukas8804 who said arabs wish that they arent arabs...:S wat the hell man why so racist

  • una de mis peliculas favoritas, el reparto genial la historia exelente y el director magnifico, una gran produccion , en lo personal me encanto

  • Iniaritu rules..!

  • If I had the ability, I would learn as many languages as I could.

  • la barra de los videos es diferente,no me abia dado cuenta

  • Where the hell are people getting this idea that the movie was saying it doesn't matter where you live as long as you're happy? There was not much happiness in the movie. This movie was to show how far your actions can go. The one bullet changed the lives of four different families maybe even more. I mean it's nice that they showed so many different cultures and how different they all live but I think that a lot of people really missed the point. This is a brilliant movie.

  • This is a beautiful film about the stories of four people who are all connected in some way. It's very real and brings tears to your eyes in some of the scenes. There's a scene with a deaf Japanese girl who is at a club with her friends and a guy she likes. She's dancing and sees her friend kiss that guy and during the scene it is silent to show you her point of view since she can't hear. It just felt real and I could really understand her emotions. Great director, great performances, great film

  • The movie was good the only thin I thought that wasn't necessary was the boy watching HIS SISTER UNDRESS and later on JACK OFF TO IT

    That was fucked up

  • @dino8192

    Exactly !

What the heck was that ?!

    It was totally unnecessary.

  • @Darkony I had that reaction too.

  • @dino8192 it was unnecessary ? or hurts your sensibility? However , on pure honesty this happens wether we like it or not.

  • @laberintodelasoledad

when you see a good movie, a boy trying to rub one out while thinkin of HIS SISTER usually is NOT in there

    it was completely disgusting

  • @dino8192 there are lots of things that disgust us, it doest not mean they do not occur. Is just that some of them touch us more deeply that others ,and this one to you seems somehow disturb you most. A simple observation.

  • A FUCKING MASTERPIECE.

  • This movie was filmed in all of Brad and Angelina kids' home countries.

  • @niloh96 no cause they dont have children from morocco ^^

  • @niloh96 she doesnt have a child from japan, afghanistan, and mexico.

  • @ZephonTLucifer it was clearly a reference that Angelina doesn't have kids from just one country and that she has a lot of them too

  • @ZephonTLucifer

    morocco dude.. MOROCCO!!!

  • @carsonvaler Eh they all look the same.

  • @niloh96 your mom was filmed in that country

    OOOOOOO

  • This is the most dumbest n boring movie that brad pitt had ever made...I kno it all fall down to being happy blah blah blah but its hella boring n sick...wtf would u wanna look at ur sister shower n jack off?....sorry ppl...

  • some people who comment don't understand this film .. it doesn't matter if you live in a small house in mountains of morocco or in a flat in tokyo ..

what is matter is Ar you Happy or Not??

  • this was such a good film! i just saw tree of life with brad pitt, after watching that it kinda reminded me of this film...but still way different!

  • @loukas8804

I'm from Iraq, I speak Arabic but I'm not an Arab, I'm mixed between native Iraqi ( of sumerian descent ), eastern mongolian and central asian. I'm not black and I'm not white either, I'm what most people would call "yellow" or "olive" skinned.

I was raised a muslim but I left Islam because it's a bunch of bullshit, I'm an atheist now.

  • @Kra7as u dont have right to speak bad about any religion.

  • @MsFifafreak

Maybe it's inappropriate but it's my right to speak bad about anything I want. ever heard of freedom of speech?

  • @loukas8804

I'm not an arab, I'm not black and I'm not a fucking muslim either. fuck off and stop replying to me because you're a fucking idiot

  • @loukas8804

BTW I thought you just typed "we're all brothers and sisters" what happened to that now? do you usually discriminate against your brothers and sisters because of their race or ethnicity?

  • @loukas8804

I live in a steppe area there are no mountains or caves dumbfuck !!!

  • @loukas8804

I'm neither black nor white. wtf is your problem man get off my fucking balls !

  • @loukas8804

huh? I'm from Iraq but I'm not an arab and I'm not black either. My life isn't miserable and I don't know why you're chanting "god bless America".

  • @loukas8804

    That's bullshit I'm not your brother !

  • I think I have never read so many comments on a movie in which becomes obvious that people obviously missed the point. I think it's ironic that that's the case with a movie that's all about the problem of understanding each other. :/

  • @nights1900 Don't make ignorant remarks until you know what the fuck you're talking about!

  • @Viahandel06 Technically, aren't all the remarks a person makes without knowing what they're talking about considered "ignorant remarks"? So how do you know when you know enough to start talking? Just dropped some philosophy up in here :P but yea, nights1900 is an dumb nugget.

  • @nameno1elsehas Nice bit on the philosophy remark ^^

  • Maraming salamat po. Lubos na gumagalang.

  • This Is Marocco You Fucking Idiot !!!!!

  • This movie was just plain disgusting. Nothing beautiful about it. The morrocan little boy jerking off in the beginning. Then the Chinese girl wanting to get laid alll the time and showing her hairy vaginia. I don't get how that is amusing to people.

  • Brilliant movie:) defo worth watching! Elle Fanning at her best

  • Now i know muslims don't give a living shit about peace

  • من اجمل الافلام التي شاهدت االقصه الممثليين الاخراج

    great

  • In a way this film is similar to Crash.

  • @FriezaReturns00001

    in what way...

crash is more about discrimantion a.k.a closet-Racism because a persons skin-colour/Skin complextion /race and this movie is about so-called terrorism or rather islamophobic typical assumptious stuff... so again in what way are you reffering to

  • @CushiticSomalianMale your right all portraying people that in the end is about humans figuring out the curicumstances.

  • @CushiticSomalianMale What part of Somalia do you come from? Somaliland? Puntland? Somalia? Have you already been there? I don't mean to be tactless but I'm interested in your people (somalis). I went to Somaliland for professional reasons and had to write a report on my way back

  • @scaramosca80

you went to somalia land for profesional reasons you say.. hmm well for one dude, what is Somalia land, and how come their so-called flag does not even exist nor does the region in terms of sovereign country, but when you say Somalia, i can understand since its a east-african country next to Kenya... which is also east african country.. and for your info im from Puntland reguion of SOMALiA, again of as in within Somalia, just like california is within amerikkka, im no separatist.

  • @CushiticSomalianMale Mudane firts of all im pleased to talk to you. Secondly, not only that ive been to Hargeysa (HGA) and Berbera (BBO) but to Bossasso (BSA) and Galcayo (GLK) as well. And no, I haven't been there for documentary reasons but within the framework of an automation of those airports which is totally different from a journalistic report obviously.I understand that you're not separatist but the thing is that many people I encountered in the four cities mentioned on the above claimed

  • @scaramosca80

and since you say you been to Hargeysa which is a small city of north western Somalia... well if that is the case, then are you amongst these to gentlemen that went to Somalia, for documentary reasons, heres the Link for the video i am talking about: watch?v=Ds7K2QQQK3s - its called trip to Somalian land... you should check the video out, its very intresting even tho im rather from north eastern part of Somalia a.k.a Puntland-region of Somalia... hence i havent been to Hargeysa

  • @CushiticSomalianMale for independence as they didn't want to be part of the "big" Somalia and assimilated to the Shabab milicy and had deep hopes to see their region improving economically and peacefully. Nevertheless, the port of Eyl - the pirates' spot - was a few kms away from GLK, along the coast. In Hargeysa and Berbera, they are even more revendicative of their independence as the self-claimed autonomous region is economically sustainable. Not to mention education which is one of the main

  • @CushiticSomalianMale assets in Somaliland. Most of them would probably be yearning for a Somalia united as one, like it used to be in the past but most of them don't believe it'll happen. Sorry but that's the truth. And Somaliland should recognized by the International Community. They have everything to be considered as an entire nation : a stable and democratic government, a stable economy, banks, schools, universities, hospitals, a flag. Not to mention all the exportations from Berbera

  • @scaramosca80 This Is Marocco My Friend !!!!!!!!!!

  • It's a fair movie. I appreciate looking under the jap girl's skirt.

  • crusaders are robbers.

  • thanks for showing the whole film :-/

  • @JoshuaWGLloyd thanks for posting that comment :D I wont watch whole trailer :D

  • when i say this as a kid i was like wtf now i really appreciate the quality meaning of this film

  • Una pelicula inspiradora y brillantemente elaborada. Uno no imagina como se puede planear una historia así, tan inteligen y como el director de esta obra de arte logra envolvernos en esta cinta

  • such a perfect film.Just dont understand, why many dislike this movie. Last day I asked my friend, did she enjoy ,and she said:I didnt like movie ,because it was so sad.

    Wtf?

  • @TheEgidija Exactly the same for me.. I love the movie too, but when i ask people about it, they either love it or hate it because of its sadness. I dont think its sad. I Think its beautiful..

  • @TheEgidija

tell her that life isn't just about Teletubbies

  • Comment removed

  • this film was very hard to watch.......

  • I think the saddest story was when the arab kid dies and his brother was sad

  • I've really come to respect this director, Inarritu. He really knows how to address the broadest, most important human issues:

Amores Perros- Animal cruelty, how human beings mirror that in their treatment of each other, and how the animals mirror them

21 Grams- Death, love, grief, guilt, revenge, hope, forgiveness, and redemption

    Babel- Human miscommunication

    Biutiful- Death and love

  • @Posmeallie Very good description on Inarritu's work. So what do you think his next film is going to be like? A continuation of Biutiful or do you think he'll explore another territory entirely?

  • @Viahandel06 I think he'll probably continue to explore life and death in his next work (even if he's addressing proverbial or metaphorical life and death versus actual life and death), but I'm really hoping he does a story set in a different time period (such as during the civil rights era in America, the Bubonic Plague, the French Revolution, etc.)

  • @Posmeallie Yeah you're probably right, but I don't think he'll do a film set in the civil rights era, the French Revolution, or the Bubonic Plague. He mainly focuses on the here and now.

He'll probably do another film that involves globalization and the effects of capitalism as he did in Babel and Biutiful. Then again, I'm just speculating.

  • Amazing movie !

  • this is a very good movie. When i saw it i was tripping out because i have been to all the countries in the movie. And to some of the same places. Got to thank the US MARINE CORPS for all my adventures.

  • This movie was beyond amazing , Unfortunately loads of people didn't get its idea.

  • is this movie supposed to have subtitles in the parts not in English?

  • This is an AWESOME movie...recommend it to anyone that hasnt seen it..great story :)

  • @pinkylicious77 but not for kids what about the scene where the japanese girl gets naked

  • this movie is sooo amazing!! this director is amazing...

  • Its ironic how most movies with cool looking trailers suck, and this one that has a pretty lame trailer is such an amazing film

  • @Calakaz I know right? I mean like the movie Broken Flowers was amazing!- if you're into deep movies like that but the trailer sucked! At least this trailer looks complicated, the first time I saw it I just shook it ofbcuz it looked a little boring. Hell, if my friend hadn't told me about it and how good it really was then I wouldn't have seen it, and that would have been a very big waste! God, what a beatiful movie, a favorite

  • FROM LEGO!

  • God, I want to find every pretentious, racist, bigoted, and/or war-mongering fuckwit on earth and force them to watch this movie. They need it, and so does everybody else.
