Yep... An Apple //e. It actually worked through the serial port (RS232). It sent a radio signal over the house wiring.
This was the "smart home' very beginning. This was 1985.

Is that an Apple II series computer I see there? What's the deal with the scene with the clock radio and the 2 tone alarm I hear? I assume for the Apple II you would need a special interface card to make the system work, correct?

Now they have whole smart houses. I heard that before you walk into Bill Gates' house, you put on a pin that is programmed with your favorite kind of music, what temperature you like, and the house responds accordingly!
