  • It's not the only color footage of B. Bojangles, there was one with Shirley temple too. The littlest Rebel

  • He had to wait for Bert Wiliams to pass from the scene.

  • PLEASE FIX THE SIDE-TONE!!

  • All I can say is. "Wow"!

  • He was a genius!

  • I hate how most of the video doesn't get a clear shot of his feet :( Love his dancing though.

  • legend

  • Best Dancer in the world. Lightest dancer on his feet I've ever seen. Wow that man could Dance Mr. Bojangles.

  • go see him anytime down from Maggie Walker's house on leigh. Stop and get you a fish sandwich on 2nd and leigh. At the Crooker Spot

  • yep born in Richmond Va

  • He invented tap dancing on stairs. This is very cool. Thanks for posting this.

  • Great clip, but the hum is maddening!

  • Yes, I had to just turn the sound off to keep watching it. Any copy of this around with less horrible sound?

Yep, Robinson was one of the all time great dancers.

  • Ah, "Bojangles (1930)" uploaded by stjn00

  • Sadly, he didn't get into the movies until he was in his 50s -- he's about 52 here -- imagine what he was like in his 20s!

  • @fhr331 - mainly because motion pictures or moving pictures were not around when he was in his 20's. Moving pictures with sound was state of the art technology at this time period.

  • Classic, lovely!

  • There is no need for ignorant remarks such as this, please! Haven't we learned anything since the times this film was made?

  • Thats just a dumb thing to say. Bill Robinson was THE most famous coloured man at the time, a supremely talented dancer and was lucky enough to make a living doing something he loved

  • I don't get it. is the term "coloured" offensive now then?

  • hell yeah it is wo the hell even invented that word for black people to be coloured. we even stay black we dont turn red or become blue nothing, that is coloured for me and not just being black your entire life

  • please put off the sewing machine and re-post it, thansk

  • I heard that guy died while still tap dancing.

  • Not true Bill Robinson died in a new york hospitable.

  • tap dancing

  • ......shut up

  • i'm just saying - he DID die in a hospital, but he was tap dancing at the moment. totally true.

  • LMAO How are you going to die in a hospital BED tap dancing HHAHAHAHA.

  • please... he was one of the finest tapdancers - ever! his capability far exceeds just stair, chair, or bed (even deathbed) tapping.

  • You are one motherloving moron

  • WOW!!
