I just bought mine at ShopNBC for $98.00 and you can get the payments spread over a 5 month period when you pay with a credit card. Just go to Shopnbc.com and type in the search box "PMD" and the product will come up. I purchased it b/c of the great reviews and videos I have seen not just on Youtube, but elsewhere as well.
@klina2cool I definitely recommend their skincare starter kit. It has a cleanser, toner and cream. I think it's key when using this device. If you can't then use a cell renewal moisturizer like the Alba Cell Renewal one. Nothing with alcohol or it will burn. After that you can go on with your normal skincare regimen. Hope this helps!
I just got this from Skin Store with a 20% off code. Not sure if they still have the deal going, but they frequently offer 20% codes, so it'll only be a matter of time before one shows up.
I've yet to try mine, but I have high hopes for the flakes from Retin-A Micro on my face and the blackheads on my chin.
@ShiniRyuk That's great! Thanks for posting the sale! I'm sure everyone who reads this would be really appreciative :) Good luck with yours! I hope it helps :) xo
I just purchased one from ShopNBC.com They are only $98.46 and if you use the promo code for first time purchase you get 15% off. Unit and shipping comes to a total of $90.68!

@6rungirl Well it's not going to be as much as the big one because it's a smaller hole. But you really don't want too much suction on your face. If you feel like it didn't do the work then you can go over it again or move up to the green discs depending on how long you've used it :) Hope this helps!
@Hapamanda thanks! your video is the absolute best I've found for using the PMD. You don't just talk about how great it is, you actually show how you use it. I think I finally got a good treatment after watching. THANKS!!!!
@6rungirl Oh that's so great!! there are a lot of people that are having a hard time with it, but it takes practice and time. I've been using it for about 5 months now? My hyperpigmentation has lightened a bit, but my skin feels amazing and I feel like the products I use are penetrating a lot better than they used to :)
@Hapamanda I have done 3 treatments so far (#4 will be tonight) and I"m just doing them once a week. Do you still do them that often, or less now that it's been 5 months? Also, I only use the PMD cleanser, toner and moisturizer on the nights that I actually use the PMD, the rest of the time I use my regular skincare regimine....what do you do? Sorry to ask so much!
@6rungirl No problem! I try to do it once a week still, but I think usually 2x/month at least. And yes I use the PMD facial kit when I do the treatment and then I use my usual products after that are geared for what I am trying to do with my skin (hyperpigmentation, age defying, etc...) I learned that you should always use the pmd upwards because doing it downwards would be like pushing your skin and the collagen downwards when you actually want it to go upwards, to maintain youthfulness.

@kjenki11 I have a giveaway going on right now until the end of the month! Go to my main channel to see the video! I also have an updated tutorial/review. You can always contact PMD for more info on whether or not this device is right for you. Thanks!
@minajOverdose I know, I used the big discs on my face at first too, but I found that I had way more control over the small ones. The big ones are supposed to be for your "body" according to PMD. Like maybe if you had scars on your legs. You should heal fine, but don't use it over that spot again (obviously) until it's healed. If you scar then you can use it for that lol. Hope this helps!
@minajOverdose PMD recently updated to only use the small discs on your cheeks (which is why I did a new tutorial). It's ok as long as it isn't deep and kind of looks like a rug burn?
@minajOverdose Were you using the small disc? Please check out my new video that is linked in this one because I did an update. That happened to me on m nose and it went away without any scars. Please feel free to ask me anything though as I have been using it for a long time now! Good luck and be careful!
Just wanted to let you know that if you use this in a downward motion, it will kind of sag your skin over time. The general rule is that you go in an upward and outward motion whenever you do anything to your face whether it's clean it or apply product. :)
geez!! i used this today for the 1st time and it took some skin off. i wasnt agressive, didnt hover, watched the instruction vid 2x, and used the blue disc.....my god! i may have to get rid of this
@SimplyJoy18 Oh no, where did it happen? That happened to me on my nose, but I guess you're not supposed to use it there :p The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the disc is pressed firmly down on the device before using it. If it is sticking up a little it will be too close to your skin.
@Hapamanda :'-( my cheek. i dont know why those particular spots b/c everything was assembled correctly. i guess those areas were more sensitive than the others
@89insideout Sorry this is so late I thought I had already answered. You definitely want to make sure you have a different cell renewal lotion. PMD sells a starter kit that I would definitely suggest. It comes with a toner, cream and cleanser. You want to be really careful what you put on your skin after a treatment. It shouldn't burn!
Everyone: I'm going to be trying out NuBrilliance soon so I will let you know for those of you that are having some adverse affects with the PMD being too harsh. Maybe it will be a better alternative. :)
Why did my discs come in a plastic instead of the box? :( and does it feel stingy? Cause I used it on a part of my body and I felt a burning sensation after.
@cLaRisSelovesbRown Where did you order from? I ordered directly from PMD.com But maybe they changed it?? Maybe you should ask them. It should not sting your face or anywhere if you are using the sensitive ones for your first try. It might turn your skin a bit pink, but not sting until maybe after you apply a toner or something. Everyone's skin is different and it may not work for everyone, so please be careful and if it hurts, then don't use it!! Send it back!
@Hapamanda I ordered it from their website too. Maybe they changed it. But maybe the reason why it stung cause i used it a multiple times on one part instead of just once. And I haven't used it on my face just yet. Thank you so much! :)
@cLaRisSelovesbRown LOL well of course that's the reason why :p You should only go over once per treatment, but I also thought you were using it on your face. Other body parts might be able to handle it better/tougher skin. Good luck and be careful please!!! PS: There is a cheaper place to get the discs, well they have free shipping so I think it's cheaper....it's dermstore. com and sometimes they have discounts on them if you check back :)
I bought one of these tools last week and used it for the first time last night...oh my gosh! I followed the instructions to a tee and my face has terrible red blotched all over it today. I kept it moving and only made one pass over each area of my face. I advise everyone to be very careful with this. I was on the phone all morning with the pmd.com people. I am going to wait until my face heals and try it once more...if it does it again, this thing is going back!
@luvmymac1 OMG!!!??? First, what color/type of discs did you use?? I know everyone's face reacts differently, but that is bizzarre!! I am SO sorry! What did PMD say?? Wow, I am so sorry. Please make sure you are using the sensitive discs and you might want to try the small discs for even all over your face. I find you get a better hold on it and it can still cover your entire face. Please let me know how it goes! It definitely should NOT give you that result and I'm so sorry!!!
@Hapamanda I used the blue disc...that's the sensitive one, right? PMD basically just said if I wasn't happy with it, I could send it back....well, I want to BE happy with it so I'll try once more. BTW, I asked 4 women who have done tutorials on this device about my problem and you are the ONLY one to answer.....thanks!
@luvmymac1 Yeah you're right. The blue ones are sensitive. The only thing I can think of is that when you put the disc on make sure you press it in tight into the device. If you just put it on lightly it will be poking up more than it's supposed to and then when you put the cap on and use it, it's way closer to your skin. Does that make sense? If not, then it is possible that you just have really sensitive skin? Let me know, I'll help all I can :)
@Hapamanda I have never considered my skin to be sensitive...no major issues with it at all. Today thoses patches are very dry and crusty. I have no idea what happened since I seem to have done everything right. Thanks again for replying!
@hanajang1 NO, no, no. Never over your eyelids. Nothing above your cheekbone like I show in the video. No under eye circles. Just crows feet if you are super careful.
I want to get one of these for my mom for her birthday and she has melasma from her three kids. Her skin is very blotchy with it so she always has to use full coverage, heavy makeup and I thought maybe this would help her. What do you think?
@cLaRisSelovesbRown I used it over some small pimples and they didn't bleed or anything. Just be careful not to hover too long over them and you should be fine :) And start with the sensitive discs (green ones) Good luck!
@Hapamanda Thank you! One last question though, are they really good with the acne scars?! I have a lot of discoloration due to acne before. You think it's effective?
great tutorial! just what i needed :) one question, can we still use other face products such as clean and clear or spot treatments whileing using this pmd? since we will only need to use the pmd like once a week? :)
@cheejennythor YES you can. The only thing is just right after you do the treatment you might want to use an alcohol free toner and a cell renewal type cream just b/c your face will be a bit sensitive and you don't want any harsh stuff on it. The next day or the day after you can go back to your normal treatments as long as your face isn't pink or sensitive anymore. Your skin will actually absorb your products much better as the first layer of skin that blocks it has been removed! Good luck!
Hi! I was wondering, how does it feel when you put it on your skin? Do you have sensitive skin? I read someone's comment that said her skin started to bleed while using this. I have really sensitive skin and I was thinking of buying this but only if it's safe :( Also, how many times did you use this until you have gotten results? Thanks!
@eryesaboutthat You have to be really careful when using this or any other microderm device. If you do it the correct way and start with the mild blue discs, don't hover over one area, then you will be great. There is NO pain if you are doing it right. As you can see in the video it only feels like a sucking motion. You don't feel the disc at all. I just upgraded to the more course discs and have done one round with it.
@eryesaboutthat You have to start out with the beginners one to see what your skin can handle. If you watch the dvd it comes with then you will be fine. It has never caused any damage to my skin and I could tell a difference after the FIRST use! I have been using it for 3 months and am very happy with results. I Have dark spots that are a bit more stubborn, but my skin is amazing :) Hope this helps!
Such flawless skin! Did you have any issues with acne before using this? I am planning on getting this to try to alleviate or even eradicate my acne issues. Great vid! Thanks for posting!
@88niteowl88 YES I had a lot of acne when I was younger. I didn't have a whole lot of scarring from it, but the ones I did have is gone from this...good luck!! I think it will help a lot.
@BlessedDiva526 Thanks! Yeah I have a hard time going up...especially with the big one cuz it has so much suction force! I'm going to try the NuBrilliance but I hope it wasn't a mistake getting it....
Thank you for this video. I have really bad red marks on my cheeks left behind from acne. It has been almost a year and they have not gone away completely. I was thinking of getting this done at a dermatologist but they are so much per treatment. So i think i will look into getting this.
@Hapamanda Oh really? That would be awesome! Roughly how much would you be asking for it? I'm not 100% sure if i want to buy it yet, just because I am a college student and only work part time on campus. So I have like no money haha. But it is def. something i want to save up for in maybe a couple months time.
@anightinabox712 I would probably let it go for around $130 including a bunch of new discs for it and ship for free to US. You can think about it. I"m going to wait until my other one comes to see how I like it. So just keep it in mind. I'll probably do a blog sale at some point too...
when i've had microdermabrasion done in the past, i always ask the person doing it whether they think people should do it at home, and they always say it's really dangerous if you havent been trained, and over time it can really ruin your skin....I hope everything continues to be ok with you, but im scared :) xxx
@sophieSfrancis You should only do microdermabrasion with something that is made for it. I assume some people try to do things that are dangerous but the at home kits are recommended by Dr's and Dermatologists. So I think it's more about money for them than anything.
@Hapamanda yeah deffo, and when doing it follow all instructions, of course part of it is for money but im sure there is some truth in it too....but just like you said no dangerous silliness and everything will be fine :) x
@sophieSfrancis I did some more research on the item and added it to my blog. Just so you know that "Dr. Mark Taylor is a world renowned Laser Surgeon and Dermatologist who has performed over 250,000 procedures and is one of the top 5 Laser and Esthetic surgeons in the world. Dr. Taylor conducted the 1st clinical trials with this tool back in 2004. He advised and helped direct the team to make sure that proper protocols are followed to achieve the maximum results safely and efficiently."
@Hapamanda Im glad you've done more research on this, i really wasn't trying to suggest that you don't know what you're doing, I'm saying it is dangerous if you don't know how to do it properly....You've probably made me want to get it myself lol cheaper than going to the salon every once in a while.... Thanks chick xx
@sophieSfrancis I don't want my friends to think that I am advocating a product that is harmful because I would never do that. It is important to be educated about anything you are doing to your skin, which is exactly what I have done and would hope others do when thinking of using this product.
U should really use an upward motion..... going down can mess up ur muscles n ur face

hanajang1 4 months ago
@hanajang1 NO, no, no. Never over your eyelids. Nothing above your cheekbone like I show in the video. No under eye circles. Just crows feet if you are super careful.

I want to get one of these for my mom for her birthday and she has melasma from her three kids. Her skin is very blotchy with it so she always has to use full coverage, heavy makeup and I thought maybe this would help her. What do you think?
MrsThreehorn 4 months ago
@MrsThreehorn I am not a doctor so I can't say for sure. You might want to call PMD personally and ask them. I am not familiar with Melasma. Sorry!

Thank you for this! I just bought mine and cant wait to use this. Is it okay to use this over a pimple or it's harmful?
cLaRisSelovesbRown 4 months ago
@cLaRisSelovesbRown I used it over some small pimples and they didn't bleed or anything. Just be careful not to hover too long over them and you should be fine :) And start with the sensitive discs (green ones) Good luck!
Hapamanda 4 months ago
@Hapamanda Thank you! One last question though, are they really good with the acne scars?! I have a lot of discoloration due to acne before. You think it's effective?
cLaRisSelovesbRown 4 months ago
@cLaRisSelovesbRown It is supposed to be great for acne scarring, although I don't have many scars to tell you first hand.

great tutorial! just what i needed :) one question, can we still use other face products such as clean and clear or spot treatments whileing using this pmd? since we will only need to use the pmd like once a week? :)
cheejennythor 4 months ago
@cheejennythor YES you can. The only thing is just right after you do the treatment you might want to use an alcohol free toner and a cell renewal type cream just b/c your face will be a bit sensitive and you don't want any harsh stuff on it. The next day or the day after you can go back to your normal treatments as long as your face isn't pink or sensitive anymore. Your skin will actually absorb your products much better as the first layer of skin that blocks it has been removed! Good luck!

@Hapamanda Thank you :) <3

Hi! I was wondering, how does it feel when you put it on your skin? Do you have sensitive skin? I read someone's comment that said her skin started to bleed while using this. I have really sensitive skin and I was thinking of buying this but only if it's safe :( Also, how many times did you use this until you have gotten results? Thanks!
eryesaboutthat 4 months ago
@eryesaboutthat You have to be really careful when using this or any other microderm device. If you do it the correct way and start with the mild blue discs, don't hover over one area, then you will be great. There is NO pain if you are doing it right. As you can see in the video it only feels like a sucking motion. You don't feel the disc at all. I just upgraded to the more course discs and have done one round with it.
Hapamanda 4 months ago
@eryesaboutthat You have to start out with the beginners one to see what your skin can handle. If you watch the dvd it comes with then you will be fine. It has never caused any damage to my skin and I could tell a difference after the FIRST use! I have been using it for 3 months and am very happy with results. I Have dark spots that are a bit more stubborn, but my skin is amazing :) Hope this helps!
Hapamanda 4 months ago
@Hapamanda Yes! Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my comment! :)
eryesaboutthat 4 months ago
@eryesaboutthat I think she said she used the wrong disk and hovered a lot, as long as you don't do that it seems you can get pretty good results.
chonies02 4 months ago
@chonies02 Apparently, she was using the blue discs (which are the mildest.) So I don't know why, perhaps she was using it wrong :(

Such flawless skin! Did you have any issues with acne before using this? I am planning on getting this to try to alleviate or even eradicate my acne issues. Great vid! Thanks for posting!
88niteowl88 4 months ago
@88niteowl88 YES I had a lot of acne when I was younger. I didn't have a whole lot of scarring from it, but the ones I did have is gone from this...good luck!! I think it will help a lot.

I like your review . I use the downward technique as well.
BlessedDiva526 5 months ago
@BlessedDiva526 Thanks! Yeah I have a hard time going up...especially with the big one cuz it has so much suction force! I'm going to try the NuBrilliance but I hope it wasn't a mistake getting it....
Hapamanda 5 months ago
Thank you for this video. I have really bad red marks on my cheeks left behind from acne. It has been almost a year and they have not gone away completely. I was thinking of getting this done at a dermatologist but they are so much per treatment. So i think i will look into getting this.
Thanks again!!

@anightinabox712 I put a link under the description for one on ebay for $149 NEW - it won't let me post links here.
Hapamanda 5 months ago
@Hapamanda Thanks for the link. Thats actually not a bad price since you get all that stuff.
anightinabox712 5 months ago
@anightinabox712 I also may be selling mine because I am going to be trying the NuBrilliance. Let me know if you're interested :)
Hapamanda 5 months ago
@Hapamanda Oh really? That would be awesome! Roughly how much would you be asking for it? I'm not 100% sure if i want to buy it yet, just because I am a college student and only work part time on campus. So I have like no money haha. But it is def. something i want to save up for in maybe a couple months time.
anightinabox712 5 months ago
@anightinabox712 I would probably let it go for around $130 including a bunch of new discs for it and ship for free to US. You can think about it. I"m going to wait until my other one comes to see how I like it. So just keep it in mind. I'll probably do a blog sale at some point too...
Hapamanda 5 months ago
@Hapamanda How much did the disks cost?
chonies02 4 months ago
@chonies02 $14.95, but you can get them for $12 on dermaskin website I think. It's for 3 small and 3 large discs (total 6)
Hapamanda 4 months ago
Ok, you need to be a sales person. This is the 2nd or 3rd item I will be buying just from watching your videos!

when i've had microdermabrasion done in the past, i always ask the person doing it whether they think people should do it at home, and they always say it's really dangerous if you havent been trained, and over time it can really ruin your skin....I hope everything continues to be ok with you, but im scared :) xxx
sophieSfrancis 5 months ago
@sophieSfrancis Of course they are going to say that :p They want you to spend all your money with them :)
Hapamanda 5 months ago
@sophieSfrancis You should only do microdermabrasion with something that is made for it. I assume some people try to do things that are dangerous but the at home kits are recommended by Dr's and Dermatologists. So I think it's more about money for them than anything.
Hapamanda 5 months ago
@Hapamanda yeah deffo, and when doing it follow all instructions, of course part of it is for money but im sure there is some truth in it too....but just like you said no dangerous silliness and everything will be fine :) x
sophieSfrancis 5 months ago
@sophieSfrancis I did some more research on the item and added it to my blog. Just so you know that "Dr. Mark Taylor is a world renowned Laser Surgeon and Dermatologist who has performed over 250,000 procedures and is one of the top 5 Laser and Esthetic surgeons in the world. Dr. Taylor conducted the 1st clinical trials with this tool back in 2004. He advised and helped direct the team to make sure that proper protocols are followed to achieve the maximum results safely and efficiently."
Hapamanda 5 months ago
@Hapamanda Im glad you've done more research on this, i really wasn't trying to suggest that you don't know what you're doing, I'm saying it is dangerous if you don't know how to do it properly....You've probably made me want to get it myself lol cheaper than going to the salon every once in a while.... Thanks chick xx
sophieSfrancis 5 months ago
@sophieSfrancis I don't want my friends to think that I am advocating a product that is harmful because I would never do that. It is important to be educated about anything you are doing to your skin, which is exactly what I have done and would hope others do when thinking of using this product.
Hapamanda 5 months ago
Does that hurt? I would be so scared to try this lol. But wonderful tutorial I enjoyed it :)
RantsRavesDealsNMore 5 months ago
@RantsRavesDealsNMore Nope, doesn't hurt at all and has done wonders for my skin :)
