Hi there! I'm from Hong Kong and also a Disney fan! My opinion on the Mystic Manor is, the most scary part is not the magic from the music box but Lord Mystic's collections was controlled by the magic and attack people on the ride. Fans in Hong Kong are so proud to have this ride!
A Mystic Manor could work in California Adventure because it sound more like sci fi/horror pulp theme that fits in with the inter-war vibe. Maybe a mini-land with Twilight Zone Tower.

The Mary Poppins bakery sounds phenomenal! That is my favorite Disney film, and I'm glad its being represented a little better at the park.
