  • Ufff AMAZING!!!

  • which pixel is thom yorke?

I joke, this song is too beautiful for the visuals to matter, and the uploader also offered a higher quality link in the description.

Dear Radiohead, you guys are the greatest band of all time, thanks for being so fucking amazing.

  • NOT JUST ONE ONDES MARTENOT BUT TWO

JONNY YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME

I LOVE YOU AND YOUR BANGS

  • @Conchobhar Bangs?

  • @Conchobhar i think its like 6 or 8 onde martenot's cause there are 3 more to the right of thom all with their own parts which really fills up the wonderful sound that makes this song just so god damned beautiful :)

  • @spectro197036 stop talking absolute shite

  • @spectro197036 Go back to Avenged seven fold you faggot . . .

  • @spectro197036 - amusing. You started well. The first half of the first sentence. Then you suddenly accuse 200,000 people of being stoner "douche bags". Your comment shows you are lonely and desperate for a response. So here it is. Life doesn't need to be a fight

  • Brian Bedonde at 2:17

  • genius at work!

  • This song puts my mind on a higher path of thinking, listen to this song with your eyes closed and with an open-mind, songs like these will really help you think more in depth.

  • @Ggreece96 Don't forget Johnny Greenwood! He's responsible for using the sublime Ondes Martenot in Radiohead!

  • This song makes me feel like no other song can.

I don't know what I'd do without you, Radiohead.. my best friend.

  • Speechless.

  • This is the definition of sublime.

  • How to Disappear->Pryamid Song->Daily Mail.

  • I'm not heeeeereeee.... this isn't happeniiing

  • I can't believe they are original Ondes Martenots!

  • Every time I listen this song, I know why I've tattoed it.

  • Absolutely mind-blowing! :) Hands down up there with the best versions of one of the best songs ever made

  • thank you radiohead... thank you :)

  • This is a very powerful song.

  • This is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite Radiohead song.

  • It's so beautiful, it's seems thom is surounded by ghosts...

  • WOW. My words fall short of describing this. I love Kid A, I love this tune, I love the Ondes Martenot, I love this use of it, I love the fact that there were like six of them on stage..unprecedented...my words fail me

  • @mootbooxle Yeah. There's like only 10 left in the world. Not far from that number.

  • the ondes martenot sounds amazing

  • Comment removed

  • this is an amazing version of this song. i've kind of realized why i can't listen to radiohead songs on repeat--they're all a complete story, it'd be like reading a really good book cover to cover two times in a row. its got to sink in

  • this man portrays so much damn emotion when he performs... all hail radiohead

  • this isint ur average acoustic tune is it...a wee bita keyboard and an acoustic and its still genius

  • i'd like to think this is probably thoms favourite tune..No?

  • @Jfahy1992 yes

  • @Jfahy1992 Im pretty sure he always said his favorite was pyramid song

  • yea but as the record companies are getting less money from sales and they in turn will reduce the amount "x" that is payed to the bands in the record deals

  • You all realize that downloading illegally doesn't hurt artists at all..? Record companies pay them x amount of money for the making of an album, then they get the money from sales. The band focuses on tours and merchandise for money.

  • @mrbutternice They get songwriting royalties for selling albums/singles

  • "this is the most beautiful thing we've ever done"

  • @SypherDubstep well, there's one thing we can agree on.

  • @SypherDubstep i understand your feelings. and it is true that piracy is bad for the industry. but most people would rather get something free than pay for it, that's human nature and you can't change it. artists will have to deal with it because they don't have a choice now that file sharing is around. i'm not trying to defend the morality of my actions. i just think you should look at the big picture.

  • @SypherDubstep i'm not still trying, i found it months ago. guess how much i spent on it.

  • maestros

  • nice bassline

  • is there a chance to get the download of the audio???

  • I'm crying...

  • if an advanced race of space aliens came to invade earth and heard this, they'd turn around and go home in tears.

  • This is the fucking greatest live performance...EVER

  • somebody need to upload this video on HD

  • where can I find the image at the top of the 0:03?

  • @Steveen701 it really looks like Queen's emblem. I'm wondering if I really see the Q in the middle of the 2 lions.

  • @Cricriiii yes it's some sort of a tribute, but instead of the Q, Radiohead added the Kid A bear in the middle of the lions. I can't find that image and i really want it.

  • 150,000 views, WTF..??!

  • radiohead does not go into the indie or rock genre, they go into the new genre called radiohead

  • @PlanetAirsoftPlym nice comment, dude.

  • Great music has no style. The human ear blooms in time and maturity to one day see the rays of an open heart in every style when done right. To hear "How To Disappear Completely" is to see the vastness spread out before you. To hear Donny Hathaway's "Givin' Up" is to hear raw, naked vulnerability. To hear Gillian's Welch's "Not Afraid To Die" is to hear someone writing their own epitaph, or Rachel's "A French Gallease" is to burrow into a fractured dream. The pane of sound broke everywhere.

  • where was this? i really wish i could have the entire set in one vid

  • It's funny, i was a radiohead fan when thay released this album, after the monumental success of ok computer people were anticipating a huge follow up. Instead they released Kid A, low key and with no publicity and they only informed the press 1 week prior to its release. At the time critics didn't know what to make of it and were a bit baffled as to wether it was 'cool' or not, and radiohead lost many fans. Yet over a decade on its regarded as a groundbreaking classic. I loved it from day 1.

  • @taoist77 This album actually is what made me a Radiohead fan.

I bought the "Best of" album, was all "Eh, this is pretty good."

Then I noticed that they had ALOT more albums, so I bought the one with the coolest cover album on Itunes, downloaded it, and then fell in love.

  • nihilism. in these painful lyrics, Thom found his soul relief.

  • This song doesn't blow my mind; it blows my soul.

  • @TrajektorieLogik it blows my dick

  • @TrajektorieLogik Nah man it blows something much bigger than my soul... my dick.

  • @CallMeMcBad

yeah, that's right, but those 5 people want to dissapear because they are terribly ugly

  • 5 people couldn't dissapear completely

  • I think all the typical dislike button puns that people leave as comments are downright obnoxious and immature, but really, who on EARTH would dislike this music? Who actually would click on this video, because it's not like a non-Radiohead fan would be looking to watch them perform this song, and actually DISLIKE it? It boggles my mind to end.

  • by far one of the greatest live performances i've seen. they truly can mold emotion into words/sounds.

  • This is by far my favorite Radiohead song. It's just absolutely haunting.

  • this is so fucking beautiful.

  • Oh shit...I almost peed myself at the climax of the song.

Note to self... use the bathroom before watching this again...

  • The Ondes Martenot makes such an absolutely eerie sound.

Sends chills down my spine whenever I hear it in a Radiohead song... the National Anthem, Pyramid Song... this one... Where I End/You Begin, etc.,

  • @CaptainPengu no ondes martenot in where i end and you begin. it's guitar + ebow. unless there are parts i haven't notice but i'm pretty sure i'm right :)

  • @Cricriiii I see Jonny using it in the 'Live from the Basement' performance in '08, and Hail to the Thief's album liners note that the song is dedicated to Jeanne Loriod who'd passed away two years prior to Hail to the Thief and according to Wikipedia was a 'celebrated Ondes player'.

I'd assume Ed would be in charge of any Ondes-sounding instrumentation in that particular song, as he's done it in the National Anthem too, albeit without an e-bow.

  • @CaptainPengu I want one!

  • @random007nadir hnnnnnnnnnnng ;__;

  • I belong to the blank generation!..good thing I have radiohead to take the edge off..

  • Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood are the new Lenon and McCartney.

  • would love to have the mp3 too! thanks a lot

  • I would appreciate an MP3 of this if you're still willing to supply one. :)

  • I wish I had seen this live :(

    amazing performance, thank you

  • can i please have an mp3 too?

  • cani get an mp3 sir?

  • @Ninjarsh @sb2546 go to keepvid.com, copy the url in and you can download the audio of any youtube video in mp3

  • cani get an mp3 sir?

  • Six ondes Martenot... that must be more or less the entire European ondes player population (including Greenwood) on that stage...

  • its not an organ, it is an ondes martenot!!!

  • The song starts out good, but after the 3:30 mark the organ becomes too loud and it takes away a lot of the subtlety of the song. Quite frankly this is a terrible version. That's probably why Thom never played it in this manner after this performance. The Pinkpop version is the definite...

  • @AITDS It might also be the fact that there are 6 people playing the Ondes Martenot, and theres only about 10 people in the whole world who know how to play it...

  • @indatrashkan haha there probably a better chance of there being only about 10 ondes martenots.. but im sure really anyone could figure it out. it is a beautiful instrument

  • Where can I find a better quality version of this?

  • EVERYONE STOP ARGUING ABOUT POINTLESS THINGS AND JUST ENJOY THIS AMAZING SONG

  • I totally made my YouTube account to comment on this video 2 years ago and to this day, I get the same reaction of how Radiohead never ceases to amaze me. This is definately one of their most emotionally moving songs and one of my favourites :)

  • British music is the best.

  • GOOSEBUMPS.

  • Psst... not to get all Captain Obvious on you guys, but the reason we are called Americans is because we are the only country in the Americas that has America in the name. That and people in the west (Europe and the Americas) tend to class ourselves by country or region. Irish, English, American, Mexican, Argentinean, Brazilian, whatever. Mind you, people do tend to do this everywhere, but I am using this as a main example for this situation. Now shut the fuck up and enjoy the music...

  • @SomeOrphen Also, because you don't have a real name for your country. It'd be stupid to call you United Statians, and American is just convenient, but you are neither. You're just a terrible offspring of all cultures combined.

  • @cannabisabuser a real name for your country? and a terrible offspring? lol someone has the worst argument points ever.

  • @cannabisabuser seriously though... those are pathetic arguments. The USA might not be the best country in the world, but you are among the most ignorant in the world.

  • wow that radiohead logo is cool

  • what the fuck is that annoying drone up to 134?

  • @todanes That would be their Ondes Martenot, a theremin like instrument.

  • @todanes I like it. It sounds wrong on purpose, but still musically right. It's genius.

  • @todanes helps build the tension that makes the song so great when it's released.

  • Stop Arguing nobody cares what country you're from just listen to the awesome music.

  • Merci!!! Merci!!! Merci!! Radiohead pour toujours dans mon coeur!!!

  • What is there to say about this except " pure genius".

  • @1:35 PLUG IN MY ORGAN!!!!!

  • Amazing to see this performed live with the album string arrangement

  • @RFFC160791 haha, maybe he is hindu or something

  • it's amazing how something can be so purely beautiful.

  • anyone knows if there's a DVD for this gig?

  • @spassigl check out austinbrock's channel

  • there are four persons without a soul

  • ondes martenot is the instrument of the past century...

  • There are 5 continents, but if you ask the dumb gringos are going to tell you 7. Do not believe them

  • youtube.com/watch?v=zep53Odnuno

Gente > Americanos... rianse de los ignorantes...jaja

  • I'm American and don't live in USA...ignorants...so fuck off

  • @YoMamaBeenLurkin screw you dude

  • Lol everybody quit whining about people from the states calling themselves americans! very few people in america know that, and i bet there's something very similar in the rest of the north american continent and south american continent that they dont know about the usa. please, let's just talk about the greatest band from the UK ever, mkay?

  • Fuk ! America is a continent, not a country... and the name of the country is U.S.

  • @MrSicodeliah No, the name of the country is the United States of America. South America and North America are separate Continents, hence, America is not a continent. When i refer to myself as American i'm clearly not referring to myself as South American or Central American or North American(which includes Canada) being that South Americans would label themselves by their respective country names(ex Brazilian). Get off your high horse dick wad.

  • @ifinoxonifi the empire!

  • @ifinoxonifi Study first..then we will talk...arshole ...The western geography of the America is dominated by the American cordillera, with the Andes running along the west coast of South America, and the Rocky Mountains and other Western Cordillera ranges running along the western side of North America...learn kid!

  • @ifinoxonifi América is the name of a region considered a single continent composed of the subcontinents of Sudamérica and Norteamérica, the land bridge of Centroamérica and the Caribbean...so go and fuck yourself and take some real history classes...turdhead

  • @MrSicodeliah

Nice Wikipedia copy and paste... The Americas is a region(notice it is plural), But America (or USA)is a Country in North America. Get it right. South America and North America are separate continents which collectively are The Americas.I mean holy shit, this is simple geography. I being from the USA can say i am American,North American, and from The Americas. If you are from South America perhaps the usage is different, but pretty much everywhere else America/n means USA.

  • @ifinoxonifi Farts & bollox...sub-continetns!!!, thats why in USA history, they brainwash the children,I mean that they(gringos) have the whole knowlege...that's sick. So keep with you peanut brain running. Lol @ you! over and out.

  • America is a country, the full name is The United States of America. North America, which includes Canada, Mexico and the US, is a continent @MrSicodeliah

  • You are a fucking moron. Go back to kindergarden you prick. Google "America". I´m an american and I wasn´t born in your racist country.

  • @Deadbabyboy Dude, nobody from the USA cares. Nobody outside of Central/South America cares, actually. So chill the fuck out. It's not like we have anything else to call ourselves.

  • @peacemonger1967 United States 'OF AMERICA'. AMERICA is not a country is a continent, in some point your statement you gave me the reason, thank you.

  • @peacemonger1967 oops (your statement)

  • WoW, 3 Americans are not self-centered & listen to music produced outside of the U.S

  • @YoMamaBeenLurkin you clearly dont know shit about americans.

  • @nickgraz I've watched enough Maury Povich to make a judgement about Americans.

  • @YoMamaBeenLurkin ya woo hoo you can watch an old guy talk and i can watch the news about terrorists in asia and eurpoe but that doesn't mean that every Asian is a terrorist (Asians are smexy , lol)

point being the comment option is to leave your opinion on the video: RadioHead is so amazing i love them so much this song is also so beautiful and touching... but anyway not for insulting people so please next time you post please watch what you say and make it relevant thank you

  • This is incredible. I bet no Americans listen to this.??

  • @YoMamaBeenLurkin

You're wrong. I'm American and Radiohead is by far my favorite band today.

  • @unopeneddoor stop calling yourself americans , we all are americans , i live in argentina and i want to be proud of saying that I AM AMERICAN, CAUSE I LIVE IN AMERICA , NOT JUST IN THE USA

  • @unopeneddoor so what if youre american?. it's not somthing to be proud of...

  • @Stillillgal

I never said it was xenophobic idiot. My point on that post was that not everyone in America listens to crap music.
