@mikemcgee - The whole shows HAVE been preserved on videotape. Edie Adams saved the 2" masters of most of this series. We put one of these on the new Kovacs DVD set.
This was of the "clues" Ernie gave on "TAKE A GOOD LOOK", circa 1960; he frequently used "blackout" gags that served as "hints" to his contestants' achievements that the panel had to determine. Some of these later turned up on Ernie's 1961 half-hour specials...
About as funny as Tom Watson.
