  • If you could ask machine head anything what would it be? what would be a good interview question for them to answer?

  • fuck metallica Love MH

  • @TheNolimitpoker Metallica is still a great band they're just to old and have started selling out -_-

  • @ViolentDetour there's no such thing as selling out. Grow the fuck up.

  • Its funny how he looks like robert trujillo lol

  • I love Rob so much, he's such a great guy and an amazing front man

  • You know...... You know...... You know!

  • Well stated Robb.

  • as an opening act...its not like he could say what he realy thinks about Metallica - I bet he thinks, like all true metall heads, that metallica after black album is just shit!

  • 'even a couple of songs on st anger i like' hahah. nice!

  • to be honest.(as you already know) its the nature of the genre. To me it keeps the continuity of the sound and the agression of a scene I first flew off the handle about it when i was 12. Im 37 now and I love evrything from thelonious monk to the interpol (pretty gay huh?) , but the original metal head in me has a high expectation of the genre. I guess that would be the long and short of if.

  • Can someone explain to me in 500 characters or less why--if a musician plays metal music--if he decided to expand his musical vocabulary or attempt to write more accessable music that metal heads go crazy and start screaming "sellout!" I can shred like a fucking beast--click on my username--but man I love playing rock, punk, jazz, classical, blues, pop... I LOVE music. All of it. I've got some awards for my playing so it's not because I suck. WTF metal brains? Why? It's lame as fuck.

  • @avidmoviefan I play as well and in all honesty I would rather play thrash death and grind because that my passion. It sounds like you make a living off of ur instrument wherewas i dont, so ofcourse ur gonna play something that gonna put food on ur table. do blame u one bit.

  • You know I rmember when these guys tries going for a more commecial rap/metal sound and fuckin flopped. now that heavy music is at it peak of popularity they are going for a more thrashier type sound like in the begining. Metallica too. now they quit the whole changing their sound shit, and theyre still gay. A very contrived sound. not sincere

  • @redsuxh8r lol but you forget that Machine Head is essentially Vio-lence. And if you think Burn My Eyes was gay you have serious issues.

  • @avidmoviefan u know ur right the 1st machinehead is a good album. Hell I even saw them tour that album with obituary and napalm death! I just question them, I think they suspect. I dont give 2 shits if he did play both of them did play in Violence! Hell I still have the original vinyl of enternal nightmare from waaaay back when. Im an old ass metal head and wise enough to call people out on their shit, and Im calling bullshit.

  • @redsuxh8r damn, Napalm, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Creator, Obituary those were some dark ass bands.

  • @avidmoviefan Take a look at the video from their lil famous song off of numetal disc. gay thats not metal! thats sell out! fuck them. there a ton of bands and players alike that have kept their integrity during the dark ages of metal, and theyre not one of em!

  • @redsuxh8r Man, I am obviously an old metal head if I know Vio-lence. I love that singer. But, I don't put much cred in the sellout shit, really. I am a guitarist and just because i played metal does mean that metal flows in my veins. I am older now. I get paid to write pop songs and movie soundtracks and I write with just as much ewmotion as I did when i was thrashing in 1988. I just dont get why metal is automatically equal to integrity. If you love what you do you have integrity

  • @ricey1983 i could ask for a better show: Machine head, Pantera ( with dime) and sepultura (with cavalera)

  • @gornass I am with you man..!! awesome show.!!

  • @gornass I saw the Pantera, Sepultura, Bio Hazard tour, fucking amazing...

  • we've uploaded the whole interview on youtube. check out our channel!

  • @desmo246 haha i laughed..

  • Sly Rover - Into the route 666

  • @Aheadstix85

Oh shit the fuck up you virgin.

  • I don't know what they got with Master. There are just a few very good songs, can't beat Kill, Justice or Ride, it's a cool album though.

  • this dude escaped from a geico commercial

  • this guy looks like a real fucking metal head.

    youtube.com/v/WgdjDgX784g&amp

  • Machine Head is fucking horrible. But Vio-Lence and Forbidden are kickass bands.

  • is it me or he looks like Rob?

  • I learned playing guitar by MH´s first Album burn my Eyes, later I would be listening to the Supercharger and Burning red-Cds on MD in my Car....damn mates, those were two MH´s Cds, and I guess without these Cds MH wouldnt be the God-Class Band we ARE STILL LISTENING RIGHT NOW, OR ? ^^

    Greets from Austria !

  • let me ask u this, since rob says a real fan is a fan of the band not albums,

do machine head fans enjoy the burning red??

i just remember rob in some shinny tracksuit with some spikey hair trying to rap hardcore lyrics, lol

    only the 90's ey

  • @sunj5976 He said he likes the band, as in the music, not an era! And just like him, I am too! I like a couple of songs off of St. Anger! And that goes for Machine Head too. I like songs off of "Burning Red", Even though I dont like the whole album, I like songs off of "The More Things Change". So yeah....I like Machine Head as a band, b/c I like alot of their stuff, even from "Supercharger"! I'm a fan!

  • @locosychocrazy1

yeah definetly, supercharger and the burning red had their place in metal,

i was just curious as i thought most mh fans would be strickly metal fans and embarrased of the hip hop phase

  • Nice Interview! Keeping it real

  • i want rob's skull/heart shirt.anybody know where to find it? please

  • Great line "I'm a fan of the band, not a certain era."

  • No member of Metallica is the best at what they do, but together, they are the best band... Metallica is number 1!!!

  • @SupermanGTR Actually, theres probably no better rhythm guitar player than james hetfield :) but you're right haha

  • @jerrodhoerner Kerry King? He wipes the floor with Hetfield

  • @666Meshuggah Hetfield kicks kings teeth into the back of his throat when it comes to songwriting. Thats all that matters.

  • @TarbleSauce you are retarded

  • @LyndonKJohnson What? Songwriting is everything and is all that matters in a band to be successful. Bad songwriting = bad band.

Hetfields songwriting capabilities are far better than Kings. Metallica = better band.

This is quite simple to understand.

  • @TarbleSauce You're a fucking retard.

  • @tvandale21 Explain

  • @TarbleSauce Metallica are more commercially successful than Slayer. Nothing more.

  • @tvandale21 Yes. Songwriting matters if you want to be successful.

  • @TarbleSauce Not necessarily. Are you familiar with a band called "Bring Me The Horizon"?

  • @tvandale21 Yes I am. I'm going to say that all metal for the past 20+ years has been garbage. Call me crazy but thats just the way I see it in terms of songwriting.

  • @TarbleSauce ..Well I guess it all comes down to personal preference, then.

  • @TarbleSauce thats bull. Maybe popular metal of the last 20 years but there are a ton of great bands out there.

  • @HateCrewDeathMartyr Most if not all metal bands now use drop tunings and its going to far now. They think it makes their music sound heavier without putting much songwriting into their music.

  • @TarbleSauce True, but Death Metal has some seriously good songwriting with alot of extremely low tunings. Of course im more of a black metal fan and they mostly use E standard or maybe Eb. They are great songwriters in the sense that they can put emotion into their music. And alot of them are up their in the most musically knowledgable musicians in metal

  • @LyndonKJohnson Hes only retarded for not mentioning that you have to be able to play a fuckin instrument or sing along with that. Everything has to come together just right in a band, for it to be any good.. now I'm a real Metallica fan.. and to be honest I don't even know who you're talking about. ^_^''

  • Mannn these guys are so far up Metallica's dick it's scary. THey need to take their old dicks out of their mouths! Yeah yeah we know they like metallica. And Rob move on with your lyrics! Still angry and negative! Once you get older your lyrics need to be more wise man. Don't get mad at me, they are one of my favorite metal bands since The More Things Change but the persons sometimes blah.

  • @royalsteven LMFAO

Go listen to country music or lady gaga is metal music and its lyrics are too aggressive for you, here, have a tissue.

  • But please, do you get my point? MEtal lyrics always the same whining shit. Need more positive sometimes!

  • @royalsteven It depends on what style of metal it is. Not all metal have the same lyrical themes.

Thrash Metal is all about aggression, drinking, punching shit and destroying crap. Machine Heads 'The Blackening' is a social commentary, if you bothered to research it, you would find that is it NOT whinning shit you so described, in fact some of the songs deal with civil war themes, and one of the songs is a response to a negative remark mark to Dimebag Darrel.

    But you enjoy your generalisation.

  • But again, war is negative, complaining about war is negative, that song about Dimebag is completely negative. Ever read the lyrics? So yes metal is mostly completetly negative musics. At least some of those 80's metal bands like Anthrax and Helloween knew how to add some humor into their music.

  • @royalsteven Why don't you have a nice warm cup of concrete and harden the fuck up princess?

  • @royalsteven Dude i understand wat ya sayin, but the hole point of heavy metal is to be harsh, brutal and fast, metal is the kinda music that dont cear bwt hurting peoples feelings, heay metal is about expressing ya anger if u wanna have humer then u listen to punk or summert funny dont listen to machine head cus the hole piont of there music is to be punching u in the face cus its angry. If u want possitive u can always listen to bowling for soupe LMAO.

  • Ehh bowling for soup nah thanks eheh. Yes ok, metal is like the rap musics. I listen to it jsut sometimes it makes me sick or my mind that is. I suppose I shouldn't listen to Machine Head anymore when I'm in a positive mood ahah. So you're a happyman listening to harsh negative music eheh

  • @royalsteven Ah well you see im insane, and metal makes me happy, espeacially when im angry metal is there for me with open arms lmao. The best fealingu get with metal is when you go n see it live n all your metal brothers are there and you just let it all go in the pit, but dont punch or kik cus thats freakin retarded and not the way it is to be done.

  • Yes, metal is good outlet though :D

  • @Dannystagg94 machine heads genre ranges from early in their career to what they are now. there early stuff was like nu metal mixed with thrash. now its considered groove metal which is groove influenced thrash.

  • Man he sure does look like Rob from Metallica a lot. It doesn't help that he also is called Robb xD

  • Rob is the coolest. Long live Machine Fuckin´ Head.

  • YAY!!!! load/reLoad/st.anger get apreciated!!!! i've barely ever heard that! me and my friends were the only people that i heard of say good things about those albums

  • y'know, y'know, y'know, y'know....how many more times lol

  • I saw Machine Head open up for Metallica. Then I saw Metallica.

    It was a great concert!

  • ME TOO!!!

    brilliant line wuznt it

  • @bilbotitface Yeah, it was really cool

  • @theroach10 i bet it was killer and rad

  • @D34DLYNINJA IT WAS!!!!!!!!

  • @theroach10 Pics or it didn't happen bro.

  • @harmonicminorshred Yeah, because it is so fucking hard to believe someone went to a concert...

  • Rob was good with Vio-lence

  • he's cool

  • machine head was pretty gnar. I saw them open up for metallica when i saw them in december.

  • dude what a nice web page faceculture, it rocks, i already subscribe!!!

  • I like how Rob is influenced by Load/ReLoad unlike every other fucking metalhead who only takes their material from the "the first 4 albums". Kudos to you, Rob.

  • I love Load and Reload. Most underrated albums of all time.

  • O counted: ya know in there like 227 times. Why don't u guys double check

  • omg i just finished watchin it and haha i was wondering if anyone would have noticed that he said you know that many times haha

  • He really looks like Robert Trujilo in another interview.

  • Exactly what I was thinking!

  • @Dannystagg94

Link tha shit man.. I wanna se Robb own an emo kid

  • Rob ....how about a visit to the dentist ?

  • @nomad8k

How about let him do whatever he fuck he wants to do!

  • excellent comment, :P

  • Same reason why Freddy Mercury & Madonna didnt.

    it messes with your Vocals.

if you sound good, dont change it.

  • they change..first two were groove/thrash, third and fourth were nu-metal,last two were just plain out heavy metal.IMO at least lol

  • four of you??? where did the third come from

  • well you and the other guy clearly can't take a joke u boring sad twat

  • I dont mind where their influences come from and that stuff... but I think they´re the best band on earth! They work in their songs as no one does..

  • they play new wave thrash(thrash-groove)

  • Robb Flynn = God

I noticed he said 'you know' alot, and when I noticed that, I couldnt stop noticing it.

  • fuk sake now i keep noticin it lol

  • Groove

  • MOP - yup. Load, Reload etc? you must be lying mate. Just thnik, if you tour with metallica you hav e to be wizard with the truth.

  • He said rad,I have'nt heard anybody use that in years.

  • Bow to hetfield boy!

  • I think i jizz everytime he speaks.

  • me too! But if u are emo ! U are stupid!

  • thats disturbing.

  • awesome

  • He said "you know" 37 times according to my brain.

  • i counted 46 times he said you know, but i love machine head and robb flynn

  • did you count how many times he said "you know" ? ;d

  • 55 times if I'm not mistaken,you know?:P

  • @ophyxdesign loooool he always says that!

  • Awesome points! very good

  • Looks like Rob and Phil (ex-Pantera) had sex and this guy came out

    im joking lol

  • Looks like Rob Trujllo...He's a monster: Rob Flynn-Trujillo.

  • gracefully aged has he ever heard load reload and saint anger

  • did you not hear him reference those albums?

  • Rob sounds like dennis leary

  • machine head kicks ass and I got respect for Metallica!!!

  • A real Metallica fan, Rob is, notice real fans do appreciate ALL of their music...

  • @avidmoviefan TOTALLY WITH YOU MAN! absolutely right, a true fan sticks by his favorite band not matter what.

not like all the fags say "i liked the old metallica, now they suck"

  • @RisingDevilOfChaos

What a load of crap. What sense does that really make? You know what you're saying, right? You're saying that even IF you notice the music starting to wane and get crappy, you'll still give them money just because you're a "true" fan.

For the record, I loved everything Metallica did from ReLoad and back.

However, from St. Anger on, the lyrics became crap (really, James? "Love is a four letter word??) and the production was even worse. The riffs? Hardly captivating.

  • @jrockzmyv382 that's your opinion tho. that doesn't mean it has to be the truth. i respect those guys for what they've done so far, even that's st.anger, or master of puppets as everyone should. not many people can achieve what metallica did so far. suddenly all became fucking critics, i don't like this and that. if you don't, metallica have lots of fans, so it won't matter. general speaking. those guys deserve some respect and not a bunch of reviews.

  • @jrockzmyv382 u have a good point. but not all their newer songs arent that bad, yeah the lyrics are kinda crap :P but some songs in st.anger and pretty decent. like sweet amber has some decent vocals in it. but the lyrics thing is true. like: "frantic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tok" like really? seriously james? wtf... but ya, the older metallica was better. like with master of puppets, and nothing else matters and sanitarium.
