@unzip2000 you can always reinfroce the engine better pisstons better vaul cams etc and you wont have to work about the engine fucking up with the turbo

theres nothing wrong with getting a turbo from ebay i have one and i love it as long as u take good care of your oil u will be ok depending where u live u can run between 10w-30 and 20w-50 depending on your setup and ive had it for about a yr already just do some research before buying just ask the sellers question tell them to call u if that helps out any but yah bro just do some research before buying ebay completely different its alot more secure now

You do the math. The only reason Honduhs are worth a shit is cause I take shits that weigh more than them. 8-10lbs on a 420a (roughly 235 at the fly) nets more horsepower than a 11-14lbs on a 4g63(214 at the fly) . Oh and by the way I'm calling BS on this turbo being a Garrett. That whole kit was an eBay special.
Good call you are correct, little iffy on the on ur facts though 6 bolts had stronger rods but there pistons were really weak compared to 2gs they could hold about 400-450hp and they would fall apart. The kit was all off ebay i pieced it together dont remember the brand of the turbo but it pry wasnt garrett, i took this vid down for awhile and reposted it so didnt have all the info.
7bolt pistons, 6 bolt rods, 553 WHP is the record for 4g63 with stock components.
@Motorking2007 Stock 4g63 has 214 HP at the fly with 11-14 lbs of boost.The 1G Laser in particular ran 14lbs, which brought it's specs to 221HP at the fly. Stock GSR b18c has 135hp, the more common b18a or b series had 118HP. Trust me. I've built all of these engines for customers consistently for the last 7 years with dyno proven results. Not too many people can school me...manufacturer's specs are ALWAYS wrong.
@LD25Delta9 the stock b18 has 135hp at the flywheel and the stock 4g63 turbo makes 220hp at the flywheel on factory boost which is around 7 to 9psi.trust me i dont even care for either one its just the facts,and honda tuners have made 500hp+ on stock b18 shortblock
Hondas can be fast yes but will never turn heads or earn as much as respect as the eclipse. As far as the 4g63 comment hondas will take more boost yes but 4g63 is cheaper and easier to make power.

The body kit was on it cause it came with the car. I spent very little money on it because the headgasket was blown so i decided to play with it a little and slap a cheap turbo kit on it. This was a high school project car that went down the road along ass time ago.
I sold this car awhile back and bought a sexy 99 gsx and fully built the motor. Then i sold the gsx and now i have an 06 GTO :) haha cant call that a rice box.
420a to 4g63 in a gs is REALLY hard. the engine head on the 420a is on the opposite side of the head on the 4g63 so everything would have to be switched around..hope you have DEEP pockets
i was gonna put the enitre front end from my GST in a GS body because my GST body is f**ked up and just need to know if i will have to weld stuff. or get new hardware to do it
im not totally sure simply cause ive never done a 420a to 4g63 swap, but im sure its not easy. as i said all i know is that the 420a and 4g63 are completely opposite in terms of setup under the hood. If your not sure, search around your area and see if theres any guys that build dsms, theres a shit ton where i live, and if there isnt, ask a good mechanic they might know.
i joined team-2g and they said a eclipse 4g63 wouldnt fit in a gs body but i could bolt in a evo 4g63 and it would fit with no modifying. so ill probly do that

what turbo kit is that? if it was $1500 that seems pretty cheap for a kit. im just wondering if it would be any cheaper to piece together a turbo kit by yourself and use a powercard to add fuel for tuning.
Congrats on 6 psi. My RS has 50 mi on the rebuild and is on 8psi for breakin and feels like it could give a 4g a good run. All I'm saying is that the 4g63 is not some unbeatable motor. An engine is an engine. The 420a set up properly will be a well matched opponent to a factory boosted car. I am interested in your mods though. You sound like you know some about what you're doing unlike many of the ricers around here.
I'm running the Hahn portfueler which is perfect for a novice tuner like myself. Basically it is two injectors per cylinder to make up for the lack of fuel under boost the stockers cannot provide. I just download a base fuel map and adjust injector duty cycles on a laptap based on readings from my WB, then upload them back to the car. I'm going MS-S as soon as I get studied up on it but this is working great for now. I'll turn up the boost shortly, I'm going for 26psi.
Dude watch out if your gunna run high boost on stock internals... It's been done... but not for long... if ya get my point, but nice build, I can't wait till I get my head back on, and make enough workin at autozone to afford a turbo than a paint job... my grandma backed into my fender.. she bought me new ones and I'm just respraying the whole thing black instead of red.. rebuild the engine and do it right. Theres little chance of running anything over 5 psi on stock internals. IMO it just isn't smart to run a stock NT engine with boost it wasn't meant to handle.

a gst is a 4g63t with only 10psi on the turbo..ive seen nonturbos too, and their still quick..not saying the 420a is bad, it just cant top the 4g63, its not even a mitsubishi motor, its a chrysler one
im sure there is, i think the exhaust manifold off of the 4g63t would bolt on. the only problem would be the oil feed. I have a exhaust manifold off of a 4g63t if you are interested.

420a to 4g63 in a gs is REALLY hard. the engine head on the 420a is on the opposite side of the head on the 4g63 so everything would have to be switched around..hope you have DEEP pockets

im not totally sure simply cause ive never done a 420a to 4g63 swap, but im sure its not easy. as i said all i know is that the 420a and 4g63 are completely opposite in terms of setup under the hood. If your not sure, search around your area and see if theres any guys that build dsms, theres a shit ton where i live, and if there isnt, ask a good mechanic they might know.

i joined team-2g and they said a eclipse 4g63 wouldnt fit in a gs body but i could bolt in a evo 4g63 and it would fit with no modifying. so ill probly do that

yea it wud fit its the same car just different setups underneath the hood..if u look at a pic of a 420a under the hood and a 4g63 under the hood youll notice everything is opposite..thats all, its possible, just alot of work

yea the evos and gsx are amazing. both are 4g63t awd..fast as hell, 4g63 is legendary, probably the best 4cyl engine out there.

Congrats on 6 psi. My RS has 50 mi on the rebuild and is on 8psi for breakin and feels like it could give a 4g a good run. All I'm saying is that the 4g63 is not some unbeatable motor. An engine is an engine. The 420a set up properly will be a well matched opponent to a factory boosted car. I am interested in your mods though. You sound like you know some about what you're doing unlike many of the ricers around here.

I'm running the Hahn portfueler which is perfect for a novice tuner like myself. Basically it is two injectors per cylinder to make up for the lack of fuel under boost the stockers cannot provide. I just download a base fuel map and adjust injector duty cycles on a laptap based on readings from my WB, then upload them back to the car. I'm going MS-S as soon as I get studied up on it but this is working great for now. I'll turn up the boost shortly, I'm going for 26psi.

Oh yeah, I'm using a mixture of C10 and 91 Octane. If I ever get to the track I'll go straight C10. That stuffs like 10-11 bucks a gallon though.

rebuild the engine and do it right. Theres little chance of running anything over 5 psi on stock internals. IMO it just isn't smart to run a stock NT engine with boost it wasn't meant to handle.

actually a 420a can beat the 4g63 people just think the 4g63 is faster cuz it comes with a turbo the 420a doesnt.. now dont get me wrong i love both engines im gettin my gs in a day or two waitin for my boy to tow it for me :P oh and by the way the 420a has a higher flow head :P

a gst is a 4g63t with only 10psi on the turbo..ive seen nonturbos too, and their still quick..not saying the 420a is bad, it just cant top the 4g63, its not even a mitsubishi motor, its a chrysler one

im sure there is, i think the exhaust manifold off of the 4g63t would bolt on. the only problem would be the oil feed. I have a exhaust manifold off of a 4g63t if you are interested.
