The idea of it's cool but it would have been more useful about 5 years before it came out considering you can get a smartphone for the same price and monthly rate that can make calls, texts, go on the internet, check emails etc... So for me the idea is kind of useless now.

Internet 3. there are nintendo64-like graphics 4. 2 screens, one is a touch screen 5. countless #'s of downloadble stuff 6. microphone 7. rechargible battery 8. backlight 9. sd card slot 10. more buttons 11. better sound 12. lots and lots more that i cant list or else this will be a two-part comment. As you can plainly see, the DSi is MUCH superior to a gamboy color. Its also WAY better!

Hey ian if you have a Tmoblile side kick you can take the sim card out of the peek and put it into the sidekick then you will get unlimited (not free) phone,texts and web.

Gmail kills your ads and syncs your aol and hotmail. My aol got about two spam messages a day. When I started forwarding my AOL mail to my gmail, I got a piece of spam once in 2009. Plus, a google account is good to have anyway ;)

Btw, thanks for a "real" review. A lot of the peek reviews have either been hype PR stuff or random haters who don't even own it. I got a Peek a while back and have been thinking of turning it on, but mostly hoping they upgrade the software for it to make it more useful.

The usb connector is actually a serial usb. I got a Target Peek also (for $4) and you can get a $15 or so cable (from tweet website) for it to upgrade to Pronto for free depending on what version you've got. The cable isn't peek specific but it's not the common type. Fwiw.
