  • Dit bly een van die mooiste liede wat ooit op springbok top 20 was en bring baie herrinneringe terug van die goeie ou dae van jonk wees en verief wees.

  • one of our favorite songs to be played Friday nights when the boys and girls of Robbies hostels came together to dance

  • Everytime a great song

  • We danced to this song 38 years ago .... and we're still married :))

  • This is the song with my first boy friend in Africa. The song of my life forever. I love it!

  • I remember hating this song at that time because it unseated Mamy Blue at the top of the Springbok radio charts and which had been at the top for twelve weeks, and was my favourite at the time. I was twelve at the time!!

  • I had my first slow-dance way back in '73 on this song with my first ever boyfriend!!!! Hmmm........wonder where Kenny Wahl is today?

  • Always have and always will love this song - my first boyfriend played it on his guitar for me on our first date

  • very nice, but is this really Peter Maffay singing or just an English version of his song "DU" sung by someone else.

  • Of course it's Peter Maffay. He wasn't the only German singer to make records in English. Michael Holm and Freddy Breck also had English-language hit songs in South Africa.

  • @hnorky

Sorry, hnorky, I was not aware of this English version of "DU", many thanks for uploading it.

  • @ikroh100

agreed - that is definitely Peter! :)

  • @ikroh100 Yes this is definately Maffay

  • @ikroh100 Yes this is definately Maffay and i went on a first date last night and it went well so this song means a lot to me today.

  • This song belongs in South Africa - Radio Port Natal - Mondays 6-8 pm - Golden Oldie time, and even on Forces Favourite - this was the tune
