"That anouncer" was the late great Ernie Anderson, 'darryl'- and he died in early 1998 before he could begin narrating "THE POWERPUFF GIRLS" on Cartoon Network {he narrated the first two"pilot" episodes in 1995 and '96; Tom Kenny replaced him}.
beleive it or not i saw this promo at the time it aired in nov 1979. and i still remember like it was yesterday i just got goose bumps. great time for television great time of life.

ABC had such a great tuesday night line up. They like owned tuesday night from 77 to 82.

It is so weird to watch these promos and have the feeling like these shows are current but in retrospect they are over twenty-five years old.
