I so agree with this 8 months old comment. Today's music is a side show. Do you know or care what is number one? I don't. Does anybody know? It all seems the same and so completely bland and as you say depressing. Today's stars just merge into one depressing interchangeable personalityless mass, and nothing of interest seems to have happended since about 1995.
It's caused because youths are overflowed with several musicchannels on internet and on TV. 24 hrs TV etc. MTV killed the interest in who's top of the chart. And indeed; todays musicians are too many commercial copycats of what they made in the past. A nc copy might sound good; but mostly they raped the concept of the original song. greetings from Holland.
