  • I'm sorry about my previous comment I shouldn't have been so rude... May I suggest using green cupcake liners an green food dye in the cake to make it look more like flowers once again I'm sorry

  • @3735jojo no problem. apology accepted. thank you!

  • Oh my gosh I love this!!!

  • Great! What if i have a very big occasion and i want to have level roses?

  • @MrBu3bu3 Practicing to get them level is always good.

  • I think this is great but I would put the middle cupcake in first so you do not hit any of the icing. Great though

  • @sonyiadski thanks for the great tip! that would make it a lot easier!

  • Beautiful, thank you.

  • Fantastic Idea. Beautiful. I'd love to be able to wrap it somehow and transport it as a gift. Any ideas?

  • @anamneses28 ive seen it done with the cellophane wrap. that might work

  • I like the pink one so cute

  • that is perfect wow thank you

thia can be a good and cheap present but little bit work so less money more effort but enjoyable so perfect gift I think

  • great thanks was wondering how to make them

  • so wonderful!what is the number of your tip?

  • @jempinkie its tip 1M

  • so wonderful!

But ,what is the number of your tip?

  • @jempinkie 1M

  • @3735jojo really everyone has done everything before DC whatever like these techniques have been going on for ages

  • Does anybody watch dc cupcakes?? Obviosley no because she totally copied what one of Their clients wanted. Theydid everything shown in this video except it looked better because they did real frosting leaves.

  • @3735jojo ummm i posted this video TWO years ago. DC Cupcakes wasn't even on air. I got this idea from a website and decided to try it and share how I did it. For demonstration purposes I used silk leaves, but for a customer I would do fondant leaves.

  • @3735jojo FAIL. :>

  • @3735jojo

You are false accusing this lady of copying, when it shows @ the top the date this video was uploaded feb, 15th, 2009 way over two years ago. It shows your comment was left 1 month ago like july 2011 or so. If the clients order was done after february 2009, then perhaps Dc cupcakes got their idea off of youtube...but as long as they went through the right chanels, I don't see anything wrong with DC cupcakes using someone else design if permission was given them or public domain

  • This would be easier if you frosted once in place on the bouquet.

  • @darlingmama09 it might be. i've never tried it that way. i know it would be easier to put them on once the buttercream has crusted over. less chance of oopsies happening

  • this is very nice i have a question?? can i use cream cheese frosting instead of buttercream??

  • @boobitalicios i dont see why you couldnt..unless its really hot then the icing might get too soft

  • woooooooow......the pink one is my fave

  • This was really neat I like this idea!

  • oh MY GOODNESS THEY LOOKED SOOO AMAZING BOTH THEPINK AN DORANDE ONES!!!!!!!!

  • @MEXIGRL579 thank you!

  • Wow this is cool

  • @ummmmm20 thanks!

  • u're a good teacher...ive been looking for something like this, but other tutorials suggest that you should [a] weigh down the pot with stones so it doesnt topple over and [b] glue the foam to the pot so it doesnt move. have u had any problems by not doing these things?

  • @safi456 ive never had a problem with it moving but better safe than sorry!

  • These are amazing! Great idea!!!

  • u could try the grey foam (oasis) they used for dry or silk flower arrangments the green oasis will crumble dont know if i would want green oasis in my cupcakes no offence and cover the oasis with cling film

but its a very cute idea

  • hi, how do u make ur cupcakes flat, mines are always looking like mountains :)

  • @amelleb1 I don't fill them up as much. if they do get that mountain top, you can always level them a little and make cake truffles with the scraps.yummy

  • Very cute idea... thanks for sharing!!

  • I used tip 1M and a piping bag.. it's pretty easy.

    thanks

  • This would be a great centerpiece for Easter!...thanks for the lesson.

  • You're welcome!!

  • hey do you think the cupcakes would stay up if I used a large cake instead of the foam? I'm not sure I thought they would fall but I dunno how heavy they are

  • Hi!

I've never tried it on a cake, but if they are on top of the cake I don't see why they wouldn't stay in place. If you want to put them on the sides of the cake, that could be a problem, but I can't say for sure as I haven't tried it. Let me know if it works.

  • I had an idea watching another cake thing, i'll do a 3 layer cake and make it look like a vase or whatever using icing then use those long skewer things to hold the cupcakes. The three layers should hold the cupcakes :) I will let you know when I do it

  • great!! let me know how it turns out!

  • nice!! :)

  • thank you

  • Hi, I commented the other day and mentioned that I planned to do this for my mom's 65th b-day today. Ive attached a QUICK video response so you can see what I did. I didn't do a flower pot because I couldn't find one big enough in my budget so I made a Topiary instead. It's holding 24 cupcakes. This is the 1st time I've EVER done any kind of cake design or decoration. My baby shower is Sun, Oct 11 and I will be doing the flower pots for the centerpieces. Thanks for the idea!!! My mom loved it!

  • These are soooo pretty!! I will be making this (a bigger version) for my mom's 65th bday this weekend! Thanks for the idea!!!

  • awesome!! i'd love to see how they turn out!

  • I saw these style cupcakes at a wedding and I want to do them for my daughter I am SO glad some one sent me the link to your video !!! :D

  • u make it seem so easy i will try!

  • they are pretty easy..the trick is hoping the toothpicks will hold themin place..if not try skewers

  • really cute n very nice == i will try it

  • I LOVE this idea! How did I miss this video!!!??? Great demo girlfriend! Thanks! :)

  • i don t know how you missed it LOL thanks laura!!!

  • awesome!!! glad they came out great! i'd love to see a picture!

  • where can I get fondant/gumpaste leaves?

  • that was so CUTE!!!!

  • Thank you!!

  • I am going to try this fpr my daughters first birthday

  • awesome!! let me know how they turn out.

  • hi! oh wow! this is a great idea... very pretty! ihihihi! perhaps i should try this sometime.

  • awesome. where did you learn to do this. what sort of nosel makes the rose? i am in australia. so is it like a zigzag shape?

  • I used 1M from Wilton. Starting in the center of the cupcake you pipe in a circular motion as shown at minute 1:16. hope that helps

  • is frosting and icing the same thing?? ive always wondered

  • Hi! yes, they are the same thing. It depends what part of the country you are from. some call it frosting, some icing. I use both, but lean toward icing lol

  • Hmm.. I think I like the pink one better :)

The orange icing with the orange pot is like, a bit too much orange for me lol.

    Cool stuff! :)

  • good job...but, I would prefer to use greenery made with an edible substance. Not to keen on my food touching fake flowers.

  • I agree, but this was just for a demonstration. Otherwise, I would have used fondant or gumpaste leaves. Thanks

  • They are really pretty!

  • Thank you very much!

  • FRIGGIN AMAZING!

    YOU LEGEND!

  • Aw, thanks. I try!
