  • im 50 now shouldnt i be listening to jazz. LOL fuck no

  • fuck ya

  • He's worth a Deuce!

  • Saw them in 1976 when Kiss Alive came out and in 2010 at Kiss 35.....Kisstory.......

  • no one could match kiss live, not your led zep, purple, stones, etc they sound and look very weak in comparison!!!!!

  • ACE is unreal! The SpaceAce rocks!

  • Ace Freley was actually rippin' out some licks!!!

  • ...so who was the next act that had to go up after that??? LOL!!!!

  • Saw them 74 & 75. What an absolutely phenomenal time in rock. Kiss at their best!

  • Best part: 1:42

  • 1975..10 years old..and loving K.I.S.S.

  • this was around the hotter than hell period. maybe dressed to kill

  • fuckin' ace- what a blistering solo!

  • This isn't 77, this is at least 2 years prior, maybe 75.

  • from 1974 to 1977.

These are the best years of kiss

  • Talk about young, raw and powerful...Kiss was auditioning for the country in this one. They were screaming, "Here We Come!!!!!"

  • Their raw & hungry days were pretty cool!

  • ace never looked better, kiss had such a great rhythm section and ace 's leads are legendary. Alice cooper may have worn make up but kiss owned it! Their show are insane I regret never having the chance to see the original 4. aces chops and licks are smooth as silk baby!

  • @phyrl3 -Agree..I had several shots to see the 4 originals and didn't...actually,only saw the band once live,88.

  • ace never look so good! Aces chops and licks are pure rock and roll babay, sweet sounding rhythm from these guys too. ace/stanley made a great rhythm section. Love the stage show one of the best ever alice did make up but kiss owned it.

  • this is really kiss and not the harlem globetrotters version

  • all 4 guys just shredding!! man..

  • i loved kiss in the early years

  • Oh look a hack that has to buy his songs off a freemason fraud!

  • Paul rockin' that L6 Deluxe.

  • Not 1977...early 1975.

  • LOOK AT THESE PEOPLE? DAM I WISH I WAS THERE, THEY ARE AMAZED!!

  • As RocknRoll as it gets! but don't put 'em in the RocknRoll Hall of Fame, because that 'Hall' is too lame.

  • wow!

  • Hard rock.........with a melody.......and showmanship...No wonder they became the Greatest Band in the World

  • who thinks KISS should do another tour without makeup?

  • its glam jam

  • best jewish band ever!

  • @tpfl9006 I know what jew mean.

  • this performance is actually 75.

  • Ditto... I saw KISS in Minneapolis in 1978 for $9. Best live show EVER! That was their prime and no one could match them!!!

  • 1977. THIS was when this band was cool before they went all commercial with all those crappy ballads and stuff. Saw them at Hartford back then and i'll tell you it was something to behold. you defo got your $7.50 worth of entertainment !

  • Anybody notice at 0:05 Gene almost falls down? That would've been hillarious!

  • They Don't Have Deuce On Kissology 1.

    It's Very Lame

  • saw them in dallas texas 1975 front row balcony in a small venue... could feel the heat and impact from the fire and bombs goin off and.......it was a trippin time.....

  • damn, I was in 5 th grade back then, a bit young to go to concerts. wish I could have seen them at that time though.must be an awesome memory

  • i wasnt too much older (15 y/o). back then they literally had bombs, not just flames so it resulted in an impact on your body as a spectator. this was outlawed and sophisticated pyro techniques without the audible explosions became the norm. Their tandom moves at that time were much more closer, inchs from each others face (Gene and Paul) which was kinda wierd.

  • This wasn't '77, It was the 1st April, 1975,

    (Source:Kissology Vol.1)

    Hahaha

  • I seen them in 1975 (Bob Seger opened) and in August 1977(the day Elvis died) (Cheap Trick opened )

  • excellent video,i remember watching this when it aired on tv.

  • What is the name of this song???

  • @gokuluks The name of the song is "Deuce"

  • oh!

    thanks!! :D

  • to gokuluks: song title=Duece

  • THIS is pure rock and roll!!! My head is about to explode from this brilliance!! KISS is the greatest band in the world. What's the heck is wrong with the audience though? They're like stone cold statues. Seriously, if I were there I would have been totally freaking out! haha

  • back in the day b4 kiss was "IT" alot of ppl never seen or really heard of this band, so when they came out and pumped out tunes like they are here.. it shocked ppl and made them in awe till the song was done.. its like getting fucked by speedy gonzales and woundering,, wtf just happened.

  • hahahaha.

  • @TheVoiceWithin16 it is a t.v. audience,but yes,they are cold statues.

  • This was metal-fury for 1975...Their only competition at the time was Black Sabbath, who by the way couldnt come close to their energy and intensity...KISS had nothing but hell bent metal domination on their minds, hell man, they were traveling in a fucking station-wagon from city to city...Hungry indeed ; )

  • this is 1975. kick ass video tho. this was when kiss was hungry.

  • ya, wish someone would take away all their millions and make them work again.. instead of watching 2 guys stand and do nothing except a hip shake, a tounge wag, and off to the stage to collect a check.

  • This is the real fucking rock&roll!!!!!! period.

  • @vierdiez absolutely 100 percent right! Bring back Peter and Ace!

  • @tlando YEAH!!! Bring them back right now!!!!!

  • Sure ACE was, i said was the shit then! but not now, not with KISS sorry....too sloppy..

  • if pete and ace are not there it's not kiss ace is the shit

  • ALL I CAN SAY IS THATS KISS!!!!!!! FUCKYEAH!!!!!!! and yep thats peter on drums and ace on lead guitar and im tired of supposed kiss fans cutting down peter and ace if you cut them down your not a real kiss fan !!! but im also fuckin old school from 1975 when i got my first album kiss alive one and that was it instant kiss fan and i began to wall[paper my room until it was all kiss fuckyeah man

  • Awesome show <3

And it's awesome that they can jump in these shoes, haha :D

  • Saw this tour....it was awesome !!!

  • @TampaDrLove Was this a tour,or an appearance on The Midnight Special?

  • @tlando I saw them live 4 different times

  • @TampaDrLove have you seen them with Ace?

  • @tlando Yes, four times with Ace and Peter first time in a crowd of only about 600 in St. Pete FL then their Alive album came out and saw them in a packed house in Orlando just a couple of months later. They were awesome!

  • @TampaDrLove That is great.I saw them in76,I was15,I dont remember much of it.Then I saw them in the 80s without makeup and without Peter and Ace.I did not like the show, they played too fast and the sound is not the same without Peter and Ace.

  • @tlando I saw them once there farewell tour lol all 4 of them then like 2 months later was when they fired peter

  • Ni el circo hubiese sido capaz de maquillar a estos payasos.

  • Ace = KISS.

  • lolwut

  • ACE was and still is the man. He carried gene and paul on his back. ACE'S new album Anomaly has some great songs on it. "too many faces" and "sister" check 'em out.

  • amen man, never a truer word spoken.

  • This version of 'Deuce' from the 'Hotter Than Hell' era, and slightly before the release of 'Dressed To Kill' is actually a more 'metallic' and 'raw' version of the song than ended up on 'Alive', which in my opinion was sterile in comparison. It was also during this period when Gene had his best bass sound, utilizing the Gibson 'Grabber' through the Ampeg SVT's. Frehley was on the cutting edge of the time using the newly introduced DiMarzio 'Super Distortions' in his trademark tobacco sunburst!

  • Heres the color version of 'Black Diamond'

Kiss Black Diamond The Midnight Special

  • thank you!!

  • its neat how they move around at the same time

  • i love how they move in tandom too..

  • sucks that this classic segment wasnt released complete with duece and the color version of black diamond.

  • this aint 1977. This is 1975. Still in hotter than hell costumes (:

  • Gene almost ate it at the beginning. 0:08.

  • He's always almost biting it or nuking himself. I've never seen anyone catch himself on fire, ski into more trees, fail more driving tests than simmons. I guess that's what's cool about him. Top rate business and showman but on a horror scale he's like one notch above grandpa from the munsters lol

  • Midnight Special lol

  • Ace - one of the most underated rock@roll guitarists. tight and right

  • Back when they were younger, skinnier, had real hair & gave a shit.

  • This is very early 1975,

if you notice there still in the Hotter than Hell Costumes.

  • I agree. And the song is "Deuce", not 'Cold Gin". I saw them in 1975 at the Montreal Forum and they rocked! Even though they had more flash and special effects in 2001, I thought the first concert was "raw", much better.

  • Gene and Paul get all the press, but Ace was the heart and soul of that band.

  • true, but not only ace, peter was one of the main components to,without him it didn't work out to good for them either..Eric carr was the only one who could replace him,but sadly hi died

  • Unquestionably....the BEST live KISS perfomance ever filmed !!!

    1975 !!!!!!!!!

NOW my friends, you know why KISS is the Legend that they are !!!!

  • One of my favorite videos of Kiss. Gene almost breaks his ankle in the opening chords.

  • Thats 1975

  • DOESNT GET ANY BETTER

  • Thats not 1977 its in ´75

  • no it's not

  • are you on crack? look at the costumes.!

  • no, you're right. Sorry, i thought you said

'77 and NOT '75. So, yeah, it's definitely '75. my bad

  • your really fucking dumb.

  • how?

  • best performance of deuce i have seen

  • that audience looks like theyre frozen solid....they don't move!

  • the audiance dosent move

  • KISS puts on the best rock n' roll show ever!

  • Thats 1975

  • pauls guitar is a gibson L5S

  • It's a Gibson L6. The L5S was a fancy top of the line version with gold hardware and binding. The L6 was a cheapie. The L6S was one step up. It had a muli-selector switch.

  • the L5 is an acoustic guitar

  • The "S" stands for Solid. Google 1975 L-5S and L-6S. When I saw them during the Love Gun tour Paul smashed a Gibson S-1.

  • the gibson I was referring to was the L5 semi acoustic that wes montgomery uses sorry for the confusion

  • PERFECT! This was when Kiss was Pure, Great! Gene looks awesome! I saw them live in 1979 and the show was THE BEST!

  • You mean you don't like the old, fat, chin sagging, wig wearing, scab version that it is today?

  • this Is Fucking It! Don't Fucking argue..i will shoot you down...As Heavy as it gets!!! Rock Yer Balls Off!!

  • what's paul playin' there ...a les paul jr.?

    this is rock and roll.

    amen.

  • im pretty sure they were called les paul deluxes

  • Its a Gibson Midnight Special. (Get it?)

  • That's a nice piece of KISSTORY

  • Paul's little dance around stage ....cracks me up....a cross between tap and some kind of riverdance.

    Good video---these guys are great;)

  • lol, yes ace only knows 1 solo, but NO ONE can play one solo as many different and tasty ways as ace can! btw, his best version is the outro to rocket ride.

  • Ok,I'll buy that. But none the less.Kiss is probably he most entertaining band ever.

  • Probably the best performance of 'Deuce' ever, possibly the best performance by KISS ever! ACE's solo...WOW!!

  • Now *that* is KISS

    Love Ace :)

  • 75. these shots are in alive 1 booklet

  • TIGHT!!!! Kickin' ass!

  • um buddy 74

  • Yeah, 1975 for sure. No way this was 1977. This is a different mix than what was used in Kissology.

  • this is from april 1975

  • Nobody can touch early Kiss. Nobody.

  • @lespaulstandar Amen.

  • this was when i first saw you! one week before i left for 4-h camp july 1975!

  • This when they really worked for it!

  • thumping bass, rolling drums, hard rock guitar and screaming lead guitar..this is pure rock! the costumes and effects are rock n roll but thats just extra stuff, its the music that counts.Kiss were way above everyone else live in the 1970's. Thats why slash, nirvana and a million others say they were an influence.

  • Ace's lead in this song is great!!!

  • This is from late 1974 or early 1975, can't remember which. The last part of this song, when the fireballs go off, is actually from the performance of "She". Why they stuck it on the end of this clip, I'm not sure.

  • 1975

  • whats the name of the song?

  • DEUCE is the name of the song....off of their first album!

  • This song is called "Deuce".

  • dude this b4 77 this 74 or 75 not 77.

  • remeber watching this live ,like it was last night!

    Thanks!

    Da Girlz

    Toronto

  • I wish I was there..

    I want to time travel....

  • awesome

  • cool

  • This is a classic posting! But this is not from 1977!

  • This KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICKS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

They were rockin during the 70s when almost no one else would or could. They will always have my respect. Go Ace Go, Ace be good.

  • you know your mans workin' hard ...he's worth a deuce...yeaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

  • whatss this song called

  • duce

  • sorry, deuce

  • ace with a duce !!!! and a quarter !!!!

  • "Get up, and get you're grandma outa here"!!!

  • rush are a good band, but were always up there own arse! Kiss were great , this song shows heavy rock that rush couldnt do.

As for great musicians, yes ace solos were great, brilliant guitar player, he has that something special, this song live at full blast.. thats rock n roll!

  • whoes rush

  • some people just never got KISS F 'em and enjoy this!

  • i dont care who u are every body likes at least one kiss song

  • Kiss rules ! Fuck all the haters !!!!

  • they r so overrated that they became multi millionaires...i wish i could be as overrated as them lol...face it folks they were in it to be entertainers that is all and they got rich doing it. ACE KICKS FUCKING ASS

  • Over a Billion dollars later...

    hows that for overrated ???

  • At least Ace was an awesome guitar player...

  • who are you? some fucking nobody. eat shit and die.

  • Well who are you? Eat vegetables and live. Think about it, Kiss and Rush both toured together their first year out in 1974. Geddy, Alex and Neil are SOOOO much more accomplished MUSICians, while KISS made it big with the theatrics/image.

  • they did so much for glam rock and making rock and roll excessable to all types of people (including fashion lovers) and what can be better than complete universal art? what really counts?, i think the artistic originality they possessed

  • i agree with you but keep in mind kiss is metal and rush is progressive hard rock i mean peart is a far better drummer than criss by a long shot, and alex is a lot differant player than ace and geedy is blows gene on bass but i think both geedy and pual sing great

  • and where is Rush today? Which of Alex's solo is worth remembering? Do YOU play guitar or any other musical instrument? If not, you're not qualified to give an opinion. Now, can you pass me the ketchup?

  • Dude Rush has gone on the same number of tours as KISS has this decade.

THose 2 tours KISS did 2006 and 07 dont count.

Put together they were only 9 shows.

Though Rush has way longer shows than KISS.

They are more worth the money.

yea, KISS has all the explosives and special effects, but KISS only does like, what?

    15 songs a concert?

    Rush does like 25!

    3 HOURS!

  • Just wondering if anyone still have Kiss first comic book from the 70's? I still do.
