  • 3rd Earth isn't so bad. Lot's of adventures to be had. (non-intentional rhyme)

  • great singing

  • You and Danielle Ate the Sandwich need to duet.

    A.S.A.P.

  • @turdfacesaywhaaaa I would love to do that! Thanks for watching.

  • are you joni mitchells wee sister?

  • @swampdodger33 Best. Comment. Ever. :)

  • I love your voice :) It's so... effortless.

  • U ROCK GIRL

  • True true, but what about the puma or was it bobcat girl that they found in the second season. She wasn't middle aged but I'm sure her tail was legal too... Just incase Lion-O needed some more thunder. :O)

  • *5wow^^A=M=A=Z=İ=N=G^^wow5*excelent interpretaion!! Wonderful

  • still a great song many months later...in fact I think it's even better, the subtext of being human is poignant.

  • Haha awesome! She-Ra and Lion-O both had magical "swords". You could go off on the social implications on that one too. I loved your song. *hits favorites button*

  • well done.

  • Brilliant! That is a great song - bittersweet - totally awesome.

  • Seeso sent me over -- and I like your sense of humor -- not just on this song. This comes from a twisted sort of place, but it's funny...

In a smirky kind of way -- not haha funny. More nudge-nudge-wink-wink funny.

    Later...

    -dan'l (who coincidentally sports a mustache :-)

  • Thunder cats rule snarrrrrf!

  • Really sweet song... Funny

  • Love your music.

  • Awesome Zoe! I don't think we got that cartoon over here, but it looks like one that I would have loved. Your song is fantastic! I loved the lyrics, loved the playing... your originals are so fantastic! I have no idea how you get such great ideas... I wish I had a tenth of your creativity!

  • Sweet uke playing, and fun lyrics...very original! Don't think I've ever heard a Thundercats-inspired uke song! Great stuff.

  • The list of token females is longer than any other token list. Even leading ladies are sometimes tokens - Cleopatra Jones for one (oops - showing my age). It's about time someone with a ukulele solved that problem once and for all. You are a real star: no tokens here.

  • what's token? sry, english isn't my first language...

  • Tokenism is the policy or practice of making only a symbolic effort (as to desegregate). If you've ever seen South Park they have one black child on the show... his name is "Token" because he is the token black kid. After "Star Wars" came out, the people were upset because there weren't any black people in the movie. That is why Lando Calrissian is played by African American actor Billy Dee Wiliams. However, he was the token black guy in Star Wars. I always thought of Chewbacca as black.

  • I used to watch ThunderCats when I was little :-) thanks for bringing back memories!!! And,.. your song is beautiful. I love the feel you create in your songs. You are a true uke-star!

  • Now I'm sure of it. I'm in love with you. :D

  • purrrrrr-fect!

  • Can I get firsties on the proposal thing?

Seriously though, I really enjoy your music, keep strumming.

  • You get to be first! Thank you very much!

  • Get ready for geek boys proposing marriage over youtube... It WILL happen.

  • I'm ready!

  • dangit, you are awesome. you have to teach me that strum.

  • Aww, Thanks! You teach me to knit and I'll teach you the strum!

  • Never saw the show..but this song is great!

  • Thanks!

  • i always check your song for that one killer line.

"the only legal tail" sent me into wild spams of joy. great strummin' too. always great melodic choices. rock on zoe!

  • Thanks Jeff! I aim to please. I usually figure that if it makes me laugh someone else will laugh too!

  • Wow that is a good song and a great performance. I think though that you could sing a grocery list and it would sound sensual and smooth. Smooth like yogurt. You've got a geat style just like the baron said.

  • Thank you! Grocery list? Hmmm... I am running out of ideas at the moment. Although I think Deach already did that.

  • It's a really sweet song, and I love your voice too... And apart of you and your awesomeness I got to say your Uke is incredible too

  • Thank you so much! I love "my little pono".

  • Another great job, Zoe. Although I'm too old to have watched Thundercats, I do know about them, and of course we all get the point. Very clever lyrics and your delivery is, as always, smooth and skillful. Just love your voice.

  • Thank you so much! I figured that maybe not everyone who watches my videos would know 80's cartoons but thank you for watching and your wonderful comments!

  • You are like Jonathan Coulton's long lost twin sister! Another great one Zoe!

  • Best. Comment. Ever.

There is a definite JoCo influence in my songs. I'm a big fan of his. Thank you!

  • One of us! One of us! Gooble gobble, gooble gobble!

Seriously though, I'm not surprised your a fan. I'd love to hear you cover one of his songs.

  • haha this is so amazing! any song about thundercats is okay with me! 'specially when its this great!

  • Thanks BAJ! I am a nerd. I've been enjoying all the vids of you from the UWC! You're great!

  • You never cease to amaze me! Clever idea for a song! Fantastic song!

  • Thank you!

  • After that intro, I didn't expect this kind of song but I really love it. You have the sweeeeeeeeeeeetest voice and always shows off with those fancy chord patterns. I also love the way your head always sways from side to side, like it's in a ball joint, when you get into the groove. Never stop, Zoe! Ever.

  • Thanks Baron! I often channel my inner bobble-head doll! If you keep watching, I'll keep playing.

  • Deal!

  • Elvis had his lip curl. Zoe has her smirk.

    It is a signal

  • Perhaps it's a smurl?

  • I heart you. seriously.

  • I heart you too! Nerds unite!

  • absolutely fantastic!

    : )

    p.

  • Thanks P!

  • Zoe - this is BRILLIANT! I was JUST having a conversation about Thundercats to a friend that never saw the show. I immediately kicked them in the shins and ran. I felt it was the right thing to do ;) GREAT SONG! :)

  • Thanks Lisa! You're actions were completely warranted! :)

  • Loved the song!

There's a typo at the beginning of your vid, though: "occurred" is what you meant but there's only one r. Cheers

  • Thank you! You're absolutely right. That's embarrassing. Oops.

  • Super clever lyrics. I do worry about how your mind works though haha. In all my years growing up i'd never wondered once about any of this. I was always more curious as to why Tigra was the only male (good or bad) who got to wear trousers. Great song!

  • Thank you! I sometime worry about how mind works too! That's a good point about Tigra and the trousers. He must of needed to wear them for some reason. Hmm.

  • Top work. Thundercats were awesome (even if Lion-O's sword was a little bit too phallic for comfort; growing when he got all excited, before firing out a mysterious beam as he cried in triumph? Good Lord).

It was Arcee in Transformers I always felt for, managing to be the token female among a race of genderless robots.

  • Thank you! There was a fair amount of innuendo in ThunderCats! I'm sure it subconsciously made me the person I am today.

  • I always wanted to be like She-Ra. I guess it's never too late. Awesome song and sexy singing!

  • I still want to be like She-Ra and Wonder woman or maybe I just want the outfits.

  • HOT!!!

  • I would also like the Princess Leia gold outfit.

  • FTW!

  • Far too clever by half for a mere man, like me, to appreciate!

  • Thank you so much!

  • Oh wow. This is simply brilliant, not only a fantastic sound but such cool lyrics - the way you sung 'prowl' was most definately feline !

  • Thanks Mum! I think we all have some feline inside. Mine just made a brief appearance.

  • I always love listening to your originals for the first time , Zoe. You never really know what it's going to be about.

  • Thanks Ken! I never know what's going to spark a song idea but, they are fun to write!

  • wow! beautiful and complicated. the song is good too.

  • Thank you so much!

  • I love it, Minnie. The return of the ears! Plus, you've gotten in touch with your "inner kitty." Very clever lyrics, my friend. Who knew that this seemingly innocent cartoon had a sexy little song waiting to be written about it? Well, apparently YOU knew. Thanks for sharing.

  • Sometimes I have no idea where these songs come from but, they do amuse me!

  • you're the She-Ra diva!

  • Thank you! Excellent comment!

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • Thanks JT!

  • 5 for original lyrics.

  • Nice song. I kind of remembered Cheetara and Tigra as an item, but I probably just imagined that coupling because they seemed like a good match.

  • I may have to go back and re-watch some of the episodes but it felt like Lion-O was too obvious a choice. Tigra would probably have been better for her.

  • It may have been more of a work-spouse dynamic.

  • this brings back some crazy memories. great song Zoe!

  • Totally. Thanks Russ!

  • You had me laughing before I even heard the first note. Gotta to admit, Zoe, you are something else. Thanks for the laughs. All the best. - Mark

  • Thanks Mark! Glad I can offer a little humor to your day!

  • All that talent and a stone cold nerd too... "Adjustable staff" actually made me do a spit take.

There is noting else for it Z, you my girl are a genius.

  • "stone cold nerd" and a spit take FTW! Thank you!

  • "I just don't wanna be the ThunderCats Ho!"

    Ahahahahaha! :)

  • Thanks!
