the word diversity always implies one thing and one thing only, allowing minorities to get into colleges or positions with lower test scores or subpar credentials than what is required for the majority

If that word "diversity" is actually defined by your own wording, then I feel that I have to ask you these questions of the following:
1. Where did you get your info from and is is credible and sound?
2. Who are the minorties and how long that term been used to define others that are non-White and is it legitimate?
3. Who represents the majority and what are the standards and credentials and how they came about?
