  • i mean 6005 i own... it's great..

  • i prefer the safariland drop leg tactical series of holster also, however i will not slam the serpa holsters because they also have a useful tactical use as well.. and i havent had any issues with my serpa's but i own a safariland drop leg 6004 for my Glock 21)sf) with the light as u mentioned. and it excellent..

  • at 9:00 Just saw you squeeze the trigger before putting it in the holster. Other than that good video...

  • i got an hk usp .45 tactical, with the raised sights, do they make one for my pistol?

  • Also I debunked that security failure I have recently received my Serpa level 2 holster by BLackhawk from Amazon and no matter how much I thrash it around it wont crack nor will the Serpa lock release on the inside there is a solid detent so the video linked below the moron either attempted to modify therefore compromising the product or he loosened the adjustment screw to much.

  • Holy cow... I know you love your airsoft, but you really need to get some real world experience before you start ragging on products. There's nothing wrong with the SERPA style holster. I own two SERPA, and three Standard Blackhawk holsters. I've never had an issue with the retention system and I actually use my gear for tactical shooting, not airsoft.

  • @locosway i play airsoft and shoot firearms. Airsoft is harder than you may think. We get pretty battered and banged up while playing. You still need well made gear to be able to be effective in airsoft. Even though airsoft doesn't involve firearms, us airsofters aren't stupid. We know good gear when we see it. There is nothing wrong with SERPAs, even though he was raging it, he has a right to say that. It's his personal opinion. Who knows, he may have owned one in the past...

  • Also the only reason the Military uses it so much is because it is coming from the lowest bidder. Also I know plenty of cops who get issued this EXACT same holster and dont touch it and instead use blackhawk Level 3 Serpas instead.

  • @deadeye4646 Lowest bidder? Safarilands cost 2x more than a serpa. If the military did go for the lowest bidder then troops would be in cheap chinese gear not the very expensive eagle and crye gear.

  • @GVMeNProDucTionS Considering the gear your referring to is probably being used by actual infantry downrange yes your correct but in reference to homestation equipment I know we buy these things in bulk for dirt ass cheap and trust that mechanism is crappy breaks and gunks up easily ive been through two already and am on my third.

  • @GVMeNProDucTionS Also its a little fun fact that downrange most troops utilize Blackhawk Serpas as a cross draw on their vest while outside the wire. Also Serpa is a style of holster not a brand the brand you are referring to is Blackhawk and is one fo the most widely used and popular holster companies around. Its also worth noting the breakin time is nearly non existent :P

  • @GVMeNProDucTionS yeah I didnt know Oakley was lowest gear lol

  • @xManjaro Ok Military doesnt buy piece meal or bulk they buy contracts. Meaning Oakley Offers x amount and other companies have to lower the price on their offer if not Oakley wins the contract the same shit happens with aircraft. Also its worth noting most units will issue out what they personnaly buy for their respective units or career field. And Oakley is hardly ever issued. Most of the time its a Foakley. Most people normally buy their own gear out of pocket such as holters and sunglasses

  • @GVMeNProDucTionS the troops don't get safariland holsters. We get POS holster that are basically just fabric holding the pistol. I'm here to decide if I should buy a safariland for my deployment.

btw, blackhawk serpas have 1 serious weakness in a sandy environment, sand and dirt can fuck up the snap so it won't operate properly.

  • @ninjatheory

Standard rank and file soldiers get the POS flap holster. Alot of soldiers get issued Safariland, talk to your unit CO, he can put in a request for them

  • @GVMeNProDucTionS militay doesnt pay what a civilian would pay. plus they buy in huge quantity..use your lump between your shoulders

  • @GVMeNProDucTionS uuummm... yes and no. Actually no & no the Military uses what I'm guessing was the lowest bidder at the time for the holster. Also, the millitary uses some of the best gear because they are not going to give shitty gear to soldiers but they do tests on gear and then go for the lowest bidder just sayin. and when is your finished kit coming up?

  • I use this exact holster everyday(literaly its strapped to my leg right now) and personally I cant not stand it.I am apart of the USAF SF career field and before they switched to this they were going to be using the Blackhawk Level 3 Serpa with a hard fliptop .Personally I liked the Blackhawks better. It had no need break it in since the inside was slick and not lined. Also just fyi the suede lining is their to protect the finish of the gun its not a retention feature.

  • @deadeye4646

how is that possible?, the military only issues m12 holsters

  • @angelodzn07 It differs depending on your deployed base, budget, homestation, commanders preference ect all of Security Forces requires a drop holster but the majority is going to the above POS but might be switching to the BLackhawk Level 3 Serpa drop holster since it is what they are issuing at the 343 TRS in Texas atm. also the hammer has to be forward but can be locked into the Half cock position witht he flap closed which I do not recommend for a real gun very dangerous.

  • @deadeye4646

Did they test the holster? if they did I need the results. Since I am in the police academy right now and they are saying that even though the Serpa are on the NYPD approved list, some of the more experienced police officers I have talked to don't reccomend them because of past incident where a perp tried to take the officers gun resulting in the holster developing cracks on its side

right now I am choosing between the serpa, safariland 0705, or the safariland 6285

  • @angelodzn07 Im not sure where to find the test results dig around and you should find it.Yes when subjected to that kind of abuse such as someone trying to rip the gun out of the holster it will develop the cracks because the perp probly didnt hit the trigger release, placing alot of strain on the material. On the above holster one of my Father's(17 years LE exp) deputys ran into a retention scenario with this holster and the guy ripped the flimsy flap clean off the holster.

  • @angelodzn07 On a side note with use of the blackhawk serpa if you invest int eh quick disconnect and drop platform if you need to switch from hip to thigh its quick clean and simple not to mention secure. Im investing in it myself.

  • @deadeye4646

Im not really in to drop leg holsters for duty use, but i think safariland also make a quick disconnect platform for their gun

But I did a bit of searching and i found this about the serpa security failure /watch?v=bv1WLkKZSNE

and this one with the holster jamming

    /watch?v=RxpXUN4bMb4

  • @angelodzn07 Well if you ever have to go into a call where you switch from duty to swat use.For some reason from one holster to the next they decided to use a thinner material the one used for M9's is thicker not sure what genius had that idea.and we tested the ever living shit out of it in tech school and we couldnt get it out of the holster unless we hit the locks. And if not properly taken care of any holster will jam. I have had four of the above SL holsters jam up even with proper care

  • @deadeye4646

That statement that safariland holster jam even with proper care somehow contradict the statement of officers that I have talked to who have said that they have been using the safariland 6280 flawlessly with zero maintenance for years. And i don't think i will be needing to change my setup from duty to swat since the NYPD don't have a swat

  • @angelodzn07 Take into consideration the difference in climate which can affect how well a holster "ages" so to speak. I am based at Yokota AB and it is humid as fuck here. Even with proper maintenance they begin to rust where the hood rotates. Personally for anything on the hip I would prefer to use a Galco thumb-break leather holster.(in Lvl 2 and 3 retention) They may require a good amount of TLC but I know plenty of guys who have used them for 10+ years and never fail them.

  • can you put the gun inside the holster with the hammer cocked?

  • man ...to support you...u did really nice review...thank you for the informations..i can give u advice too...u can use that screw on the side to get more loosy holster and spray silicon spray into it...it will help u

  • man ...to support you...u did really nice review...thank you for the informations

  • @firefighter1107 How about you try and make a video and remember every tiny little damn detail about something. Don't even comment on any video on youtube again until you know the work that goes into making video, you nit picking, ignorant Imbecile.
