  • I went to see a crap film because they had done the music brilliant .Thanks for posting it.

  • I saw these at the White Hart . Tottenham London around 1967 anyone remember

  • I admit, I don't recall this group..However, I do like it!!! It has that 60's sound to it...Thks for the upload and thank you "hrpman".

  • this is a great song, many of the beatles hits wern't as good as this.

  • Struck a cord with a number of us I'm sure. A great song, underated, but a great thoughtful song.

  • Another great under-rated Brum/ UK group of the wonderful mid 60s. I saw them around 1966 : A serious musical & entertaining group.

  • tenrecords, you are so right. A lot of 60s bands are still doing a bit on the "greybeards" circuit and as you say so many faded. Pity they never did more.

  • Great track, All the best from Steve , bass player in the band from 1995 till 2007, happy days

  • jamie t samples this song at the beginin of his calledthe mans machine

  • this song was covered be the reflections in the u.s.

  • This really is one of my all-time favourites - it is 1965 all over again, the year I met my lovely wife and a summer of really fabulous, fabulous music

  • Heard this on a Heartbeat re-run and -POW- it took me right back to my teens. I'd forgotten all about this release by the Rockin' Berries who seemed to be totally overwhelmed by 'He's In Town'.

    Great band - great memories!

  • this brings back tons of memories for me I was still a teenager in Brum then..Alex's Pie Stand in Station Street, Velocettes, Matchless, DKW...oooh Yeh.

  • =)) just great

  • Strange really, so many great bands like this never got off the ground, a couple of brilliant songs then that was it. There are bands from the 60s like the Bee Gees, the Who that just got better, others faded away, sad.

  • one of my fave 60s tracks, luv it

  • Excellent band who seem to have been overlooked in comparison to their contemporaries of that time?

  • I remember this. Nice song

  • Love this Great Old Song..Thanks for posting

  • gr8 song, rarely heard these days

  • great song , great group

  • Awesome song :o)

  • oh wow! love this oldie ! thanx for posting !!Id nearly forgotten this! Its great!!

  • Poor Man's Son (looking for a rich chick)

  • too many brilliants there. lol but they were.

  • They became a comedy showgroup in the late 60's. I sa them a few times and they were absolutely brilliant. Clive Lea (I think) was brilliant but was then replaced by a guy called Terry Webster who was even better imo. Brilliant impressionist. Very, very funny cabaret act.

  • I remember this one on the jukebox, the dual voices have impact and appeal for this "work"song.Good rythmic backing as well. This song deserves much more recognition than has been seen here. Thanks etc.

  • Thanks guys ...glad to see tey still have some fans ...my dad was in the group...

  • is brian yates still managing them...?

Worked at croyde bay with them about 10 years ago, as another poster said, they're heavily into comedy cabaret...... which they did very well.

Part of the 60's birmingham scene along with mike sheridan, the move, idle race, bev bevan, roy wood, the fortunes and many, many more....

    distant memories..

  • oh... and the applejacks..!

  • Love this song, one of the 'forgotten' classics. Thanks for posting. :)

  • great song from the 60s by underrated group.

  • I see you've corrected the title hansemich.

    :-)

  • great song from mid 60s.

  • It's Poor man's son not song, but thanks for posting. Love this record.

  • Thank right
