I recall Laurel & Hardy performing this piece in "Swiss Miss". laurel played a tuba and Hardy sang it with his cultured voice, to serenade a young lady. There were some untoward results:

(1) They woke up the irascible chef.

(2) He dumped a pitcher of water on Hardy.

(3) He also told them to go away and even made dire threats if they continued to court the girl.
