@natedog2004 I'm familiar with the tru tone artificial larynx. I have some friends who are speech therapists who gave me some info on it. I personally know people who use an electrolarynx and Ihave patients that use the artificial larynx or the electrolarynx. I was joking around at work (I work at a hospital) and I was playing with the electrolarynx and posted a video of me goofing off. You are correct, there have been several advances in the technology for those who have had laryngectomies.

@nostaljiq question after the patien wakes up from surgery how do you explain to them how they lost their voice or explain how the electrolarynx works ?
my dear woman! there is a new way for people who lost their voice to talk! it's called a tru tone artificial larynx not like the one you were holding the tru tone gives fluctuation to either his or her voice so that the voice almost sounds normal it is not like a servox or solatone or any other electro larynx! trust me! :)
