I remembered Robert! Wasn't he kind of a good looking guy and was married to a blonde lady? I lived in the same building as Johhny Rewind and I'm still friends with his li'l sister Julie. Did you know Johns first band, the Marble Farm?...or the Funky Features crew on Central Ave.? They did some recording of Van Morrison.
Long Branch, Keystone, Realto Rodeo, Golden Gate Park. Loved those shows! Was fun dancin back then. Don't get too close to the stage, you could get burnt from the flames shooting out a couple of feet from the Sax! Seriously. And ya. I think Safe Cracker was my favorite song to. Too Hot to Handle. Too Damn Funky........
I went to Crane's wake at the Rio Theater in Martinez or where ever. Great show for a great guy. This group is proof that notoriety is fleeting and means little. They were such a great show.
SomeBODY post some more of the real HOODOO"s. This video is sweet! Johnny Rewind was my next door neighbor in the Haight. I still email his li'l sis. Awesome band!!!
wow these guys rock, no wonder phil lynott loved them
