they shouldnt be able to take a slapshot in a a shootout..cuz the goalie is ready for you to go up and try to deek and score not blast it 5 feet away from them. if the goalie gets hit from the slapshot it would hurt cuz he is not prepared for it.

Dude a goalie should be ready for anything in a shoot out if they aren't and they get injured well thats just part of them game

In what way i think it's more dangerous during a game when people are flailing sticks towards your face. sticks can fit through the holes in your mask pucks can't and you got equipment on i don't see a danger in it if the NHLPA did people wouldn't be allowed to do it

yea man true that...im not trying to argue with u and i dont think ur trying with me either..u are right about the stuff u said, all i was trying to say is when the puck can go up to 60 to 120 mph when nhl stars take a slap shot and if u take it from 5 feet away...fuck that would hurt...im just saying? right?

yeah i can see where that comes into play but you gotta remember the goalies are so well padded now a days the only reason for danger is if it comes off the post at 60-90 mph and hits the goalie in the back because he has no padding back there
