  • Universal Studios Hollywood is a lot better!!!

  • Im sorry but you look like a complete retard... Seriously... This was an embarrassment to America -.-"

  • in backdraft when those gas tanks blow up im scared

  • Thanks for posting. Looks like fun and a little scary haha =)

  • very cool. damn, they sure do love big ass roofs

  • I am deffo goin here next year ..

  • That Jurassic Park ride freaked me out whenever I was like 9 years old I think. I was just expecting a smooth ride to look at the dinosaurs but whenever I saw that big dinousaur at the end of the ride, I knew what was coming. xD

  • Hello, did you also went to Korea's Everland & Lotte World there because it was fun there since I went in March.

  • Hello, did you'll enjoy there & did you took a lots of pictures there, Thank You.

  • @cuteprincess20088 Try to go there one day!

  • The Backdraft show is f--king awsum! Too bad its closing in Universal Studios Hollywood. BUt wait: Its still available in Universal Studios Japan.

  • 2:45 was that Fergelicious? They play that song there? (how odd) But from what I've seen so far from numerous videos I'd rather live in Osaka than Tokyo [it just seems nicer]. The light show at the end looks awesome! You're so lucky to witness it firsthand.

  • Damn. All Korea has is Everland and Caribbean Bay.

  • yeah...they need a real theme park!

  • @BusanKevin they have lotte world too!

  • ~LOL F*bomb cool~ Looks fun! You're a trooper for Visiting Kevin~

  • haha...thanks! Even BK drops the occasional F-Bomb....though I try not too ;)

  • theme park cherry popped <-- LOL...my disney vid was my first time to one also. That place looks fun! I wanted to go to Osaka on the next J trip, but the missus wasn't keen.

  • popped it was ;)

  • That was your first time to a theme park!? Looks pretty fun but those crowds can be intense. I think it takes more bravery to endure the crowds than to go on the rides. I'm dreading the day that Nina comes home and says, "I wanna go to Universal Studios!" (The last bit, where you were looking for the exit, seemed pretty peaceful tho.)

  • Being at a place like this for the day with small tired children would be a nightmare come true! I have no idea how people do it! hehe I was exhausted.

You really do have to be a patient person to brave those crowds. Has Nina asked to go to DisneyLand yet?

  • So far we have been able to shelter her from the knowledge that amusement parks exist at all, but I'm sure she'll figure it out soon enough. Once she knows about Disneyland and USJ, I wonder if our walks in the woods will still have as much appeal.

  • I have been to backdraft when I was in the US. That was the most exciting. Did you ride on delorian?( I don't know how to spell) It was fun as well. This vid makes me wanna go back to the US...

  • I didn't have the chance to ride Back to the Future this time because the lineup was too long!

  • How did you feel about the Jaws ride? When I got on it here in the states I had to wait a lot too, I don't think it was worth it, pretty cheesy, but since you got on when it was dark maybe it felt scarier.

  • even in the dark, it was still really cheesy! Spider man was a million times better! I'd love to try the new Harry Potter ride they have in the States.

  • man that place has to be a bitch to close Every night.

  • for sure....they must have an army of staff!

  • That Japanese flag at 0:42~ is it at half mast?

  • The parade was a little scary.

  • very cool vid

  • Very cool. Never been to any of the Universal Studios. Would like to go...the ending was funny and scary --thanks

  • Been there. Love it!

  • That looked pretty cool.

  • I've been to universal studios hollywood and orlando...but not japan...didnt even know they had one there ...haha

  • yep....almost 10 years apparently! :)

    Hope you're doin well!

  • good vid Kevin looks like a blast there.

  • it was cool...but very tiring! Thanks for the comment :)

  • So cool man!

  • Cheers....thanks so much!

  • its seems like halloween here is just another excuse to dress up. I've never heard of any trick or treat in this country.

  • of course! Any excuse for a party or a profit. Why do you think Christmas is so huge here. then again.....it's just a commercial beast back home too.

I'm sure there aren't too many kids back home who know about Sawhain, or the relationship between All Hallow's Eve and All Saints Day either.

Ah well....iI still do miss the coolness of it back home!

  • JUST FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD!!! great vid kev, glad you had a blast.

  • haha...nice one! I did...then I clicked my ruby slippers together!

  • You guys need some kids to drag around. Actually we took our kids to Disney in California, walked in at Noon and walked out at Midnight. They trooped the ENTIRE time and both fell asleep before we could get our car out of the parking garage. Big Day!

  • Someday we will....and I'm sure it will make our day there even more tiring! haha

  • Awesome! Glad you thought it was a cool vid :)

  • Excellent video, really like the Addams family bit :P Someday I hope to go there :3

  • haha....I always loved the Adam's Family! Glad you liked the video! :)

  • I was at Tokyo Disneyland two weeks ago in September and they had already started their Halloween festivities.

I shot a bunch of footage but I'm not sure if I'll upload it or not. I'd like to take my boys to USJ.

  • That must have been a fun time. I think I will appreciate these places more once I have children of my own!

I think your boys would love USJ!

  • Hey Kevin, have you ever been to Universal Studios in Florida?

  • never. I would like to some day though :)

  • Nice to see that! It looks like it was a beautiful sunny day!

  • it was an amazing day. We got there after 3pm so didn't have as much time as we would have liked.

  • 03:09 I have seen a lot photos of this, it's so beautiful, I would like to see this live ^^

    is this in Osaka?

  • this is indeed osaka!

  • Hey Kevin, Looks like you had a fun time. I especially liked the Addams family theme song sing along. Thanks for taking us all along on your outing! -Kurt :-)

  • that backdraft thing was pathetic...

  • but it had the shortest lineup.....so we went.

  • You can't be serious

you've never been to wonderland? O.o

  • nope. Never! believe it or not!

  • If you ever return to Canada, be sure to visit they have amazing rides!

  • wow looks a bit different than the one on Florida.

  • really? Is the one in Florida bigger looking? I assume it would be.

  • I'm cant really tell if it's bigger, but I know the one in Florida is very large, plus it has a second park called Islands of Adventure, which has attractions that I believe you went to in Japan. I was actually just commenting on the layout, especially at the entrance to the park.

  • I've been there a few times. I prefer USJ than Disneyland :D

  • cool! I haven't been to DisneyLand yet. I'm honestly not very interested though.

  • I went to USJ last year. I was thinking, hmm, I don't remember it being in 'downtown Osaka'. I remember getting on a brightly colored train and it took awhile to get there. We waited an hour and 40 mins to get on the Spiderman ride. I saw Hello Kitty. Even in "real" life her head is disproportionately larger than her body.

  • eeeeek....I waited for 90 minutes for Jaws, even though the sign said 50 minute wait time. Jaws was anti-climactic. Spiderman was fun though.

  • hehe...i assumed you were playin!

  • hehe...I suppose I don't know the geography well. Seemed like downtown to me.

  • HA HA HA You can't hide from the cosplay kids. Thumbs up :)!

  • it's so true! hehe

  • Are you wearing a yamaka?

    Didn't know you were Jewish.

  • yamaka??? Nope....must be my receding hairline creating optical illusion! I'm an Irish boy.....who is using iMovie 9's new "yamaka generator plugin"!

  • Sweet video! Thanks!

  • Thanks! Glad you like it :)

  • USJ is now on my todo list!

  • cool

  • ZOMG i think i heard one of my faveorite japanese artists songs in the background (Arashi) 0:26

  • Shouldn't every night finish with a parade?

    Thanks for taking us along!

  • I grew up with Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios as my backyard. I'm hoping we'd be able to go to Japanese theme parks when we're there.

  • nice. although, i don't really want to pay $85 per person...

  • although expensive, it wasn't that bad. We payed 4,200 yen each

  • USJ is one of the places I want to go in Japan.

I've seen other vids with the Disney parade they do at night. I grew up young with lots of Disney around, so going to see that parade will bring back childhood memories.

  • Maybe you'll eventually get the Harry Potter ride.

  • That would be cool. I heard about that from the guys on Diggnation.

  • J.K. Rowling gave it a big thumbs up (based on the plans) so it will probably be good. Looks like Japan has everything else so my guess is they'll add that one too.

  • USJ is just like being in America, isn't it!

We made the mistake of going to Tokyo Disney in shogatsu once...

The wait for each ride was 150 minutes (2.5 hours!)!

We went to USJ on a normal working/school day and it was still about 30 minutes/ride.

  • it was about an hour per ride when I was there

  • and I bet everyone waiting patiently :-)

These guys are experts at patiently waiting in line, aren't they :-)

  • The Spiderman ride is so great. My favorate non-roller coaster ride at universal!

  • favorite*

  • It was awesome! I almost threw up (not much experience on roller coasters), but it was really fun!

  • Looks pretty cool.

Did you have any kind of thanksgiving celebration today?

I had a nice turkey dinner with the family, always a nice thing to do :)

  • My wife made pumpkin pie last night. i will make a little Thanksgiving dinner tonight :)

  • Awesome, I love pumpkin pie !

  • yeah...me too! We bought all the fixins at a foreign food shop here in Kobe

  • when did this park open?

  • March 2001

  • The place looks quite a bit like Universal Studios in Hollywood iirc. The part at the end where you are lost in the park after it closes seems like the premise for a horror movie.

  • haha...so true. Attacked by a psycho Japanese-Dorothy!

  • When I see footage of Universal Studios, I think of "Jaywalking" from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

  • haha...I never thought of that! That is SO true. I always liked that segment of the show.
