  • anybody can do that on a 3 foot fence

  • that was the best season of llws ever so many good plays that year

  • add mike on facebook

  • Swisher/Matsui, Werth/Ibanez, Manny/Drew, Taguchi/Encarnacion and Podsednik/Dye. Podsednik is the only one who's remotely fast on that list. LF/RF are slow, CF's are fast, that's why CF's move to the corners when they get old and their legs dissipate, that's just the way it is, you can't just say "no that not true" and change what is. You're athletic and quick up the middle, slower with power and contact on the corners, that's how it's been since baseball was invented.

  • @noahmcdx @RunningMan4u Your team is built up the middle not "from the outfield to the infield." SS, 2B, CF, P and C are the first positions any coach worth his salt fills when putting together a team. Every 3rd baseman and SS in the league has a good enough arm to play the outfield, don't kid yourself. Manny and Vlad are better athletes than Hanley and Jimmy Rollins? Ok.

  • @JasonBrodie um no. First of all, catchers have to be as athletic as anyone on the field. Unfortunately the fat catchers on some big league teams and as the stereotype really gives us a bad name.

Second of all, for this argument, look at college baseball. Thats pure baseball, after that, you see guys like bryce harper going from catcher to outfield to preserve his legs. Things like that.

And if you can't play middle infield, pitcher, or catcher, you BETTER be able to hit.

  • Catchers have to be as athletic as anyone on the field? Name one catcher who is as athletic as his Shortstop and Center Fielder, just ONE. Catchers need reaction time and endurance, not athleticism, totally different things. College Baseball is pure baseball? People play different positions in College than the pro's because there's not as much talent, hence more talented players play before less talented players, even if they're out of position.

  • @JasonBrodie BECAUSE, if your not fast, you cant play the outfield either. And they'll have to stick you at third or first. But if you can't play middle infield and be able to throw from all arm slots and move your feet and have the skills to turn 2, you'll be terrible at third base, and your only chance is First base.

Trust me. In highschool, with the exception of the specialized positions, the team is made up of 7 shortstops pretty much, unless a kid can rake.

  • College is just as guilty of having "7 shortstops" as HS. Harper is moving to save his legs yes, but in actuality he's moving because WAS already has Derek Norris, and now that they just traded for Wilson Ramos, they don't need another catcher, so they're going to try and make Harper a right fielder because he has a great arm and hits for power. You can't be fast and play the outfield? Last 5 World Champion corner outfields are comprised of

  • 54 feet bases...80 ft bases

  • im on a 13u team and i pplay 54-80

  • wtf is 54-80

  • Im above little league

    CC Arizona Outlaws.

    S.A.B.A Tournament Champions

    54 80 is the game.

    I think... Lol

  • @diehardpatriotfan ya i played that now its 60-90

these crappy little league is like 20 ft bases and 40 ft pitching

  • @diehardpatriotfan i played 54 80 when i was 12 no 14 and i never played little league all pony and travel ball

  • @gopadres7 yeah 60-90 now that im almost 15 im in pony ball

AZ Outlaws baby, our first season we made state in Fullerton!

  • And John Cornett is ... OUT!

  • ANY GUYS UP?

    comment me back mD

  • i was having a practice on the other field when that happend

  • If you listen to the live version the guy announsing says he rips it into center field, and so does she....

  • guys, cumon this kid was playin in da LLWS 4 christs sake, there was pressure even if it was the 1st inning, im twice as tall as him and i couldnt do it

  • uhh

  • dat bitch has no clue what she talkin about

  • i know i hate when girls announce sports, especially football

  • da wabbit

  • screw you id like to see you try

  • lets see you tryy

  • major exaggeration. thats a play he should make routinely all you have to do is stick your arm over the fence. No jump needed

  • exactly what i was thinkin

  • i mean, yea he ended the game. but all he really needed to do was stick his arm back, the jump wasn't neccesarry

  • lmao, in mlb regulation park,

    that was seriously be like,

    a pop-up in the infield, haha .

  • were like 12 and 13 not 30 so its not the major leagues i bet u cant hit it that far even

  • @beacyclone28 Birthdate: 2/18/97. Longest ball hit: 315 ft; 300+ in game.

Yeah how spectacular, those majors fields are like 210 ft.

  • durr but the kids are 12 years olddd. i bet when u were 12 u couldnt hit it 225 feet

  • shelton should have been there there goin all the way this year

  • not the best interview but great play nonetheless.

  • dude give him a break they're like 12 years old

  • thats how old i am.

  • yeah every person on youtube claims to be 12 as well

  • wow...

  • shit virginia is going all the way bitchiz va amaricin cock suckers

  • u realize people like you no one cares about. Your stupid attempt at making your own language failed stop trying to keep it alive.

  • Oh man, I laughed so hard when I saw this on T.V. Our team lost to these guys during the earlier stages of the tournament in 9 after an awful call.

  • no bronxbomber ur right it was not that great of a play. it was an easy fly ball that he didnt even need to jump for, the little league system sucks

  • yes it does... its a bunch of daddy ball shit. if ur dad is the coach, then u are going to play all the games and get chosen for the all star team. my town travel team broke off little league after a few kids were missing games for soccer. then we became a state wide team.. one of the best experiences of my life. it is so much more competitive

  • i remember when i saw that...man i wish i was in this league

  • Am I the only one that thinks that was not that great of a play. And that the hitter popped that up.

  • i saw that game

  • i think 3rd is way harder than outfield

  • not on 60 foot diamonds

  • Outfeild isnt a bad players possistion. There is a kid in my league that is probably the best pitcher and he plays 3rd, 1st and LF,RF and he said pitching and the the 2 outfields are the hardest possitions he plays.

  • walpole owns

  • sheltons better

  • u bet they are

  • Great catch!!! I never seen anything like it!!

  • yeah yeah. whatever

  • wtf r u going 2 bitch everytime someone says it was a good catch?

  • I agree somewhat with krut12 here. Was it a game saving catch? Yes...possibly. Was it a good catch? Sure even though he somewhat misplayed it. The ironic part, just judging on the video was he probably didn't even need to jump in the first place. I know, I'm going to get the negatives on the comment, because everyone is going to say "oh but he's just 12 years old". Fact is if he played it correctly, it was a little better than a routine catch. But boy I give him credit, the pressure was on!

  • r u going 2 fucking bitch whenever sum1 says it was a good catch?

  • im going to speak my mind when someone claims a catch is good or not, i believe i can determine that after 3 years of playing 5A hs ball in texas. im not saying that it didnt help them win, just that it was not a well played ball.

  • and im going 2 speak my mind when some1 says it wasnt good catch

  • totally agree.... look at it he doesnt even need to jump and it looks like hes a 5 year old getting fly balls thrown to him by his dad

  • hii jill =)

  • hi mere :)

  • haha

  • haha Tom!

  • mike nice catch. johnny he bailed u out there kid

  • haha niicee chriis

  • cool. i still proved you wrong

  • how did you prove him wrong? a 12 year old kid can and should be playing in a real league, not little league. pony league is the way to go

  • krut12. read what u just said 6 days. first of all. the kids 12, so, he wont be playing in a real league with fences taller. ur probaly some 13 year old skinny as hell and just sits on the computer all day. shut the fuck up and stop being so mad ur not as good as him

  • dude krut12 is a 17 yr old high schooler who can kill you in baseball or anything else anyday. so shut up before u say anything even more retarded out of that gay mouth of yours.

  • its little league. who cares?

its the most overrated thing since notre dame football.

i'd like to see a world series for kids where they play actual baseball.

  • @hawksbaseball9 Yeah sad thing is, the 13u triple crown world series is on some cheap channels no one watches, and thats the shit thats actually somewhat impressive.

  • hes 12 actually when he made this catch and yes this was a good catch im pretty sure on that kind of stage in that type of situation that is a very good catch, and no not anyone can make that catch when your only about 5 and a half feet tall

  • hey krut12 lets just make a HUGE deal about it. he made the catch and saved the game now shut the fuck up

  • ohhh niceeeee

  • u should have flipped over for the fans

  • everyone who says it was easy sucks cock. dont need to get mad

  • hey cnwpl, that catch was was not hard. anybody who puts on a glove can catch a ball over a 4 foot wall. the kid jumped about 6 inches off the ground and wasnt even in line with the ball. he threw his glove off to the side and caught it with his PALM. that is not a good catch. now if he was in a real league with fences taller than he is and real length fences (yes, little league is not real baseball) and he robbed the hr by jumping a couple of ft in the air, than that would be a good catch.

  • ya i knoww right. my team northampton got knocked out in the first tv game in mass. its fucked but whateva....

  • Ballinboy13-- Dalton Caricker sucks cock

  • that was an ill catch

  • WALPOLE PEIDE BITCHESSS!!!!!

  • **PRIDE!

  • haha this diamond is a kiddy diamond only 220 feet haha im 13 and i play on diamonds that are 300 feet

  • great 4 u.. but u still suck & couldnt do what he did

  • i bet he could do that anybody can catch it over a 4 foot wall with his palm. oh, and jump about 6 inches off the ground. try catching a bomb, not a llws pop-up on on a big field thats 300ft over a wall thats taller than u. thats a good catch, not this "great catch."

  • oh and before u have ur user name be "ballunBOy13" u should get sum balls cuz it obvii seems like u dont have any..

    bayumm bitchh

  • ok..i rly rly would like to see you out there an do that..i rly doubt u could

    WALPOLE PRIDE BITCHH

  • The LLWS is a rip off, most of the kids are 13, they should be playing on 60,90. Not 46,60. And that was not that great of a catch.

  • i agree

  • lol your funny the kids what 11 and he plays outfeild outfeild is 1 of the easiest positions to play he sucks

  • u dont even know him bitch

    and btw hes like 13

  • Do you know the reason you play in field?

Its because you can't play outfield. Most of the time a player is playing infield is because he can't play the outfield.

  • kinda the other way around but w/e

  • Any good coach would build a team from the outfield in. Most infielders play the infield because they are not fast enough to play outfield and they don't have the arm strength for it. But of course most people think the other way around.

For those talking about if it was a good catch or not. It was an out right? What do you call the person who finishes last in medical school? Answer=Doctor.

  • good point

  • i agree, but infielders do need an arm and a half for some throws they gotta make

  • not in little league.

  • true little league is such bs with 46 60.. but relative to age you still need somewhat of a gun. but i think 12 is a little old for 46 60. put these kids on 50 70 or 60 90.

  • im 13 and just played on 50 70 travel its not that big of a difference but 60 90 is

  • ur 13 and u only play 50 70??? i was playing 50 70 in the fall of 11 years old or sumthing. i played travel instead of fall little league. but i did LL in spring. i started playing up for teams on 60 90 fields when i was 12

  • no i played 50 70 in 2007 ive played 60 90 for two years now and i play travel

  • @RunningMan4u No, you play the infield because your not fast enough, your not a lefty, and you aren't as atheletic. Doesn't mean your not a better ball player. Outfield is actually considered a position for players not as smart. You stick your athletic dummies in the outfield.

In highschool, unless a kid is REALLY good at somewhere else, or your a pitcher or a catcher, coaches just pick a bunch of shortstops because their athletic, and they develop them into outfielders.

  • @noahmcdx @RunningMan4u Neither one of you have any idea what you're talking about. Regardless of infield/outfield, your corner players are usually the least athletic players on the field, usually in order of least athletic to most athletic 1B/Catcher, Right Field, Left Field, Third Base. They're typically bigger, slower, and provide power. Up the middle are the most athletic players on the field, (and for the most part that includes the pitcher)

  • ok buddy for 1 ive made way harder catches and that catch would be simple it was a pop fly yeh it might be hard for a tee ball player like you...

  • rly..i'd like to see you do what mike did..cuz i highly doubt u could

  • You really don't think the catch was that good do you?

  • lol...that was an easy catch..

  • ok if thats so easy why dont u go out there and make a catch like that,,i'd rly like 2 c u try

  • Listen, im not trying to offend him,it was a GREAT catch. but nowadays the media is always looking for real life hollywood endings, and they found it in this kid. it was a gud catch, all im saying is that it was overrated

  • Dudes, this is not such a great catch. that would just be a little stretch, not a full jump. if u noticed he didnt even move forwards when he jumped, he just moved upwards. clutch catch but way overrated

  • but i don't see you ut there though, doing what mike did

  • you fag; he saved the damn game!!!!!!!!!!

  • YEAAAA MIKE!

  • YEAAAAAA mike!!!

  • way overrated.... that hit was a pop up number one. number two, he didnt hav to jump.

  • Future starting center fielder for the Boston Red Sox.

  • no, but hes a beast

  • word

  • i was on texas in this llws....-taylor b

  • YAY! Amazing catch.

  • One of the Greatest Catches I have ever seen in Little League Baseball.

  • That was INSANE! I couldn't believe that!

I saw something like that in the MLB: Terence Long robbed Manny Ramirez of a walk-off HR.

Such a great play! The best web gem in Little League Baseball!

  • MICHAEL RANDO!!!

    awesome catch, kid!!!!

i loved this game, omg..he is such a great player!!

  • u people are rediculous. this kid is 12 years old. u should appriciate that he could even catch that cause i garentee none of u people could.....and yes i was there for this game, i went to 3 days of the series actually =)

  • Its funny how people like to think that these kids are amazing. Most of them are 13, and they play on small diamonds. You guarantee none of us could? He did not even have to jump. That was a pop-up anyway.

  • You are a shtty person. LOL.

  • Nice Grab but Texas will own any team they face Garrett Williams K's 17/20 batters faced straight up nasty junk

  • im guessing u didnt make the team
