  • Nice playing mate. I dig your tone a phrasing. Keep up the good work.

  • hi, how did you record this? can you post the signal chain path? thanks

  • @mikeydoodols Shure SM57 and Beyerdynamic ...(606?) microphones, which you see both in the video. They go to Edirol Firewire sound card, which has mic inputs.

  • Wow, beautifully played! I have several amps, among them a Traynor YCS100, but I'm gonna be getting an HT-5 soon just because they are so awsome. I've spent about an hour or so jamming on one and I'm sold!

  • stars if this sound like something off sonic!

  • There are now 20w and 40w combo versions of this amp... Hmmm. Gotta check those out.

  • what do you think of the HT-5? im thinkin of gettin one and primarily use strats... u had some good-ass tone goin tho...

  • @FordIsBetter I like it a lot. Also, they now have new combo amps, the 20 watt version seemed great, I'm almost thinking about getting that one instead, to save some space. My cabinet is so big and ugly.

  • very good!

  • great tone you have here!!!.....could you tell me what pickups you have in your strat???

  • whats your delay setting ?

  • You have good taste in music XD

  • More a little your solo guitar's volume.

  • The color of your strat is really cool! You customized it by yourself?

  • Yes. It sparkles nicely under stage lights, not so much in natural light.

  • So are your two mics going into an M-box?

  • It's Edirol FA-66. For some reason it's noisy, and therefore I don't like it too much.

  • dude... your strat is pretty ugly xD but your playin' is great ;-)

  • dude this is so awesome!!!! i really felt your soul come through in the playing, and not many solos have that. u have talent :]

  • Omg, give back my soul now!

  • Nice song and good playing man!! You'll get there!!

  • That sounded great! What software program did you use to create that? Also, what effects were you using, and was it through the loop? You convinved me these amps sound great.

  • Reaper for recording. No effects between guitar and amp, delay from the Reaper. I recently tried another HT-5 in a store and was very disappointed. The cab makes a really big difference, try a few different ones if you can. I don't like Celestion V30 with this amp, much too bright.

  • SICK DUDE!

  • awesome playing!!!

  • Nice dude! =)

  • Please teach the setting of the amplifier at the age of the solo!

  • Sorry, I don't remember exactly, but pretty much something like this:

    ISF halfway

treble pretty low, maybe 9 a clock

middle and bass higher, maybe 3 a clock. Max gain.

  • hey! this was great to listen to!! very cool all around!! great playing & tone! what did you use for the drums?

  • Thanks! The drums are from BFD2.

  • wat fucking guitar is that???????

  • Neck is from a Fender Strat Plus, body is from some other Fender, maybe a japanese one, I don't know for sure. Pickups are Kinman Blues set. The green and orange sparkle is a sticky plastic film normally used for covering books. :) Certainly a bit different looking.

  • this solo (and sound) kicks ass! 5 stars. What program are you using to record? Plz make more videos ;)

  • Thanks! Reaper, it's a free software.

  • Naaa... i would say very much Satriani-ish. either way both great guitarists. =)

  • what all effecs is this?

  • Nothing between amp and guitars, delay from the recording software.

  • Great playing !!! The best Blackstar HT5 demo I've heard so far !!!

  • really good!!!

  • This sounds very Vai-ish. Is it his or do you just write a lot like him?

    Either way, good stuff.

  • Whoa, Vai-ish.. Thanks for the compliment, that's a bit too much. :D

  • Lmao, i think its safe to assume this is yours then?

    Great job, mate.

  • What kind of pickups are in that Strat? They sound very "humbucker" for a strat. They look like single coils but don't sound like it.

  • Kinman blues set. Actually they sound nothing like humbuckers, must be the amp and the recording cheating your ear.

  • Insanely good solo, and awesome tone. Do you remember the settings for the amp? :)

  • Thanks! :) ISF somewhere a bit over 12 a clock, treble 11, mid, bass and gain max. With another cabinet, say, a vintage30 equipped one, I would put the treble to 0 and still want it to be less bright. This amp needs a presence button, imo, as the treble button here is actually more of a "high mid"..

  • Sounds awesome!

  • thats one sweet looking cabinett you've got there... im calculating what it will cost to buy the head and build a cab myself, i'll probably use two Celestion's since i dont have an old Mesa just laying around.. =P

  • I would not build a cabinet.. Except if you happen to have a fully equipped workshop. Plywood is cheap of course, but it's alot of work, and failing is easy, and then you end up with a cab that looks like that. Also the speakers are expensive. You can find ready made cabs cheaper than you would get just the speakers alone. For example, check out Thomann (the german music store) and search for Harley Benton G212.

  • Good job man, sounds really nice.
