I think I can explain the whole Scooter-continuity thing for anyone who makes another comment about it.
The first two episodes were merely pilot episodes for the show. As the first season started airing, these two pilot episodes were heavily edited to match up with the final product of the show. Scooter wasn't actually IN the first episode, but rather, all his scenes were plastered in to replace some deleted material. (see reply)
@TeamRocketRockin By the time the first episode aired, most of the other episodes were already released, and as such, Scooter was already introduced in the 6th episode. Although the continuity of the show isn't entirely accurate, CBS swerved away from this problem by airing episodes out-of-order. I know this doesn't explain Scooter's appearance in Episode 4, but again, released out of order. Space-time annihilation narrrowly avoided. THERE!
for those of you a little younger heres the who's who of voices on the muppets.... Jim henson did kermit, rolf the dog,dr teeth, sam the eagle.Frank Oz,did fozzy bear, miss piggy, animal.david golenz? did gonzo,dr stangpork,an various others.I'm sure there are ones that I missed. come to think of it,think henson also did link hogthrob
@TheReboot70 Pardon my Minor Correction but Sam the Eagle was actually performed by Frank Oz, Not Jim (Muppet Wiki Supports this!) and his name is Spelt Dave Goelz who also played Zoot and Bunsen Honeydew as well! I hope that helps too! =)
@SuperSonichero10 i'm always wanting to learn more about jim and co. because jim and i share the same birthday and i believe jim helped mark from star wars fame become the "BEST CARTOON JOKER EVER VOICE WISE" SOMEBODY tell me i'm wrong
I remember distinctly watching this episode as a kid- Waldorf and Statler made some comment about Jim Nabors with a pun on his last name- but it did not appear in the DVD version.
Does anyone know where I could find the complete versions of the Joel Grey, Jim Nabors, Paul Williams, Charles Aznavour, and Vincent Price Muppet Show episodes? Please, I desperately want them.
I have heard that the reason that the Muppet Show ended was that Kermit developed a serious cocaine problem and nearly went crazy.
Also Rolling Stone magazine rated Animal as the 4st best drummer of Rock's top 100. After the Muppets, he worked with a variety of acts from Glen Campbell to Marilyn Manson.
It's funny how originally the Newsman did inteviews with the Guest Stars. And by the second season it was set up where something would fall on the Newsman or something crazy would happen to him. Thanks for posting these first Season TMS episodes. It was a great Season.

Kermit told Scooter he doesn't look like a gopher. He doesn't look like a scooter either, does he? :-)

makes me wonder do you think scooter uncle really owned the place or dose he just say it to get what he wants
cyberdragonessmaster 2 years ago
I think his uncle really does... why should Scooter have said that otherwise to the janitor... It was not as if he wanted anything from him...
I like Scooter. - But then I like nearly all of the muppets...
