@sandruu Owls actually have really tiny brains because their eyes take up too much room in their skull. I guess it could still be intelligent, but a mammal would blow it out of the water.

@abk0100 Actually, I dont think the brain size is directly connected with inteligence. And intelligence is not guarantee for better hunting skill. A smaller brain may be even better, couse electricity has finite speed ~~300000km/s and with the large number of neurons this will definetly affect the reaction speed!

Also, some birds are known to be far more intelligent than many mamals!

Like for example the Parrot Alex, search utube for vids!
