The movie is about ethics... The preditor role shiftes and you have to choose side. Well I'm on the girls side. But I can see the punishment was extremely hard. Hard Candy is amazing.

I watched this movie. What a piece of shit it is. This movie is about a 14 year old girl who lures a guy to his own house. What she then does to him is drugging him, kidnapping, death-attempts through asphyxiation, cut off his genitals, drown him, electrocute him and more. She blames him to be a 'pedophile' based on assumptions without any real evidence. She uses that as a pathetic excuse to please her sick torture needs. After torturing him for 2 hours, she forces him to kill himself.

In the movie, she has no real evidence of her claims that he is a child molester. She simply uses arrogant self-made assumptions that men are perverts. I watched this movie. What a piece of shit it is. This movie is about a 14 year old girl who lures a guy to his own house. What she then does to him is drugging him, kidnapping, death-attempts through asphyxiation, cut off his genitals, drown him, electrocute him and more. She blames him to be a 'pedophile' based on assumptions without any real evidence. She uses that as a pathetic excuse to please her sick torture needs. After torturing him for 2 hours, she forces him to kill himself.

Life expectancy even in the 1700's was in the upper 50's to low 60's so it was NOT because of shorter life span! @intelligentlman My mother was a teenager (16) when my father (19) got her knocked up. Family pressured my father into marrying her and joining the army to support us. Mom lied about her age on my birth certificate so my father avoided statutory rape charges. But it was not a happy marriage: my father beat her and slept around regularly. In the beginning, dad presented himself as nice guy but mom was too young and naive to spot an asshole and she wasn't the last young girl he took advantage of.

There is an episode of the cartoon "The Boondocks" where a single woman who suffered through numerous abusive relationships takes out her pain out on others and on a possible boyfriend with violence is counseled that "she's the one chasing away good men with her violent attitude." Young girls are easier to lie to than older women and often young girls are willing to overlook obvious warning signs because they have a Prince Charming fantasy going on in their minds and these older men are willing to lie and fill the role of this fantasy. But one day the girl will wake up and realize she threw her future away on a loser.

The excessive measures a girl takes to attract attention is proportional to her need to compensate for feeling invisible. Most (not all but most) sexually active girls and young women trade sexual favors for meaningful emotional connection. For women, sex is a compromise i.e. the price of admission into the fairytale romance. For man, the fairytale romance is the compromise i.e. price for sex. That's the problem.
