It was awful. Can you imagine it? Dancing all night long whilst rushing our tits off, when if only we'd been born 20 years later then instead we could be dancing to autotuned vocals, whilst drinking cheap spirits, snorting 5% pure coke, throwing up, and getting into a fight.

@stukaville hehe mate - slight case of the rose-tinted specs?? yes, 1991 was (imo) the best year ever for going out raving, but the economy was in recession with loads of people facing negative equity or even losing their homes due to astronomical rises in interest rates.

i have to say tho, at the time i worked in local government, and was pretty-much protected from the recession... i certainly had enough £ to go out raving most weekends and buy top-quality jubs for £15 a time!!
