  • Tell me

  • what can one say about connie that hasnt been said already? they dont make them like her anymore........

  • Connie Francis - her near-crying voice is unmatched, and you could cut paper with those cheekbones !

She was so startlingly attractive, you could either have a heart-attack or get arrested for staring too long.

Whoever crafted her features certainly got the DNA perfectly aligned !!!!!!!

  • She's unmatched. There has never been a voice like this in pop history.

  • @vanguard1952

Timi Yuro was another who could sing with so much emotion - a tear in her voice . They covered a lot of the same songs .

  • And my 'thumbs up' makes it 319 positive ratings! Connie Francis could sing anything, and this is a wonderful example of her Country style. People who prefer the 'Country' music of today should really take a listen to some of these classics, as sung here by two legendary vocalists.

  • Beautiful song, beautifully sang. I've never heard Hank, Jr. sound so good.

  • szuper!!!!

  • Write it and make a fortune

  • Lol, I love the people that think this is serious.... come on now...check downloadmusic.im for complete album

  • My first cousin wrote this song and sold it for 15 dollars. way back then, he is no longer with us, RIP

  • @mixon1061 I thought Hank Locklin wrote it -correct if i'm wrong

  • @candw87 --- You are absolutely correct. Hank Locklin wrote it ; he also wrote "Please Help Me, I'm Falling" and a few other songs as well.

  • I love people who loves the real music of a lifetime.

  • Connie! You have a really wonderful voice, inpossible compair with any others. You are GREAT!

  • She was sensational. We may not have realised that fully then, but everyone should see it now.

  • Connie, a voice to love. Beautiful song and Hank sings V V good.

    Grazie

  • Joy.

  • Connie's vocal is just perfection. Her recordings are for all time.

  • when connie francis...sings this song...i can picture her head resting on a pillow...and dreaming...and you really would want the pillow she was dreaming on..because she is just so hot...and her voice is just so sexy..who would think connie would be able to sing country as good as any of those beautiful sexy ladies who do it so well....

  • These songs mean alot ot me, a very needed memories

  • nice:)

  • Remember Connie was also great for pop and her Italian songs are among the best of any American woman singer.

  • Excellent version.

  • @barrygioportmorien1

When is Connie going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame???

    About 20 years overdue.

  • @RPenta

Yeah I agree, I don't know how Aretha Franklin got in and Connie Hasn't , Aretha Franklin isn't even a Rock n' Roll Singer. The Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame is is not really representative of a lot of the Real Rock n' Rollers of the era.

  • god bless connie and hank williams jr.for this timeless classic.the harmony is beautiful, the song is wonderful, and the talent of these two is sheer perfection.when i started singing she was and still is one of my idols.tyvm for bringing this timeless classic back to life.you are truly an angel.god bless you and keep the posts coming.i will be waiting for you.with folks like you the memories are here and the love for them both will never die.

  • A True Classic. The Way C&W was meant to be played & sung. Thank you, Lenny Waller NYC

  • nice old song

  • that times hair style really messed up girl looks

  • Nostalgic

  • I'm born in 61, when I was 17 my mates were into Sex Pistols, etc, bore, The Clash, etc etc bore bore, I was into Connie Francis, Doris Day, Guy Mitchell.... 32 years later and no-one remembers the Clash or the pistols and their lousy records are never played any more, but people are still discovering Francis and co - Good Music lasting Eternity.

  • I did not have car and i dont know the price of petrol then..but I also had a good time...... Anna

  • Back in the 60's When this gal came to Vegas she commanded $75,000 a night - Unheard of for a Vegas performer in those days. Even more than Elvis. It is one on pop musics horrible tragedies what happened to her and her career

  • Great version!

  • @PONYBOY430 is he\she a loser

  • Super mein das ist eines meiner Lieblingslieder super

Amen I agree with you. They don't know what good music is now a days do they? We had the best when we were younger and I miss it so much at times so I listen to it always.I know we can't go back but we can sure remember,Merry Christmas and happy memories always. Mary

  • @azaz09095 One of our growing up songs..weren't they wonderful days? We were so lucky with music in that era. Connie, Brenda Lee Roy Orbison Elvis to name just a few. Glenda-Marie xx

  • @beastyclarke Lucky indeed! I spent six months in Saudi in the late sixties with just a tape (not cassette) player and tapes filled with Connie, the Everlys, Roy orbison, Elvis etc and even some 40's stuff of Hank Williams sr. Kept me alive during some long lonely nights...

  • One of my favourite all time country songs,Big thank you Alan for posting,Appreciated.

  • BRILLIANT.THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

  • In memory of my brother Ronnie: I sang this at his wedding, maybe not quite as good as Connie and Hank though! xx

    Geena

  • hanky tonk!

  • wow I never knew connie sang country music and even with greatest ..

    HANK...

  • Thanks for posting another fantastic recording by connie, pity about some of the other trailer trash type comments, really no need for it just over a record, but sadly thats how some lead there lives.

  • OMG so beautiful. It's not on any jukebox and it needs to be.

  • I'm not sure about the recording of this album, but Connie has stated in the past that one thing she loved about recording in the 60s was that when she went into the studio all the musicians were there and they did record together. Nothing like the recording sessions of today.

  • BRILLIANT.THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

  • very young hank jr. before his moutain climbing accident that nearly killed him in 1973.

  • ..none of my bee's wax, but Connie & Hank Jr are still alive and talented. Maybe they could get together and do some more songs :)

    That Would B GREAT!!!!!!!

  • connie is the best !!

  • Sorry folks this song is a freaking joke. Connie and Jr did not do this and guess what , they didn t. They never entered the studio together. Damn I just you tubed Cher and did a duet. God I hope it s a hit.

  • LOL Well you asswipe little man, no I m not on drugs. Yes I am legally sane. And yes I know what I m talking about. After being a sound engineer at RCA for 14 years I think I know a little more about it than you do.

Not all artist that do duets get in the studio together. One will record their tracks at one time and the other at another time. And guess what? Sometimes they re not even in the same state or country.

  • Oh, I see what you are on about. You said they 'did not do this'. Well, they did 'do this' just not at the same time and place. Yeah, we all know that music is seldom recorded all in the same place and time. That's the 'magic of modern technology'. Not many of the people out here were born yesterday. Get a life, pal.

  • Number one pal, I have a life. You really don t have a good grasp of the English language or the meaning of words. If you did then you would have understood, not together at the same time. But you want to be confrontational , sorry your life is so empty. Sir, I still say you have a real personally disorder. You just can t concede like alot of the other people in the world. So sad, so sorry,

  • Who really cares??? Nat King Cole and His daughter did "UNFORGETABLE" after he was deas and Hank Jr. did a video with his Dad, Hank Sr. and it too was great! I don't care if one was in Nashville and the other was in Philly. All I care about is that they sound nice together and I like the song. I thank you both for your comments. Best wishes to both of you!

  • Wish Hank Jr hadn't changed his style.

  • This is my most favorite version of this song.

    It's so sentimental

  • This is a great duet with Connie & Hank Williams Jn.

  • Great version.

  • alan, what are the other songs in this album? thanks.

  • She was wonderful. Everybody had her records. She could sing ANYTHING. The phone book.

  • You are soooooo right! She could "sing" the phone book and have a hit!!!!!!

  • You're both right- Connie could sing country, great Italian songs, beautiful ballads. Wonderful talent.

  • They sound just great.

  • Connie is a great harmony singer, listen at 2:08.

  • I know he's extremely young here but I would never had guessed this is Hank Jr. Nice combo.

  • Fairymike,

The original vinyl LP comes up frequently on Ebay, and usually sells for very little.

    Hope this helps.

  • So thankful you posted this,my cassette is warped and and I don't have cd of this...is it available? please reply

  • Hank Jr at his best with some help from Connie Francis. Two greats together here.

Everyone, FYI, Hank Jr was 15 years old here.

  • Must be Hank before he fell off that mountain in the 70's Hope got some of that candy.

  • She was born in 1938, he was born in 1949.......I doubt he did.

  • Are you from another time zone or what...Frank and Dino and many other celebs and presidents did (JFK,RFK)all chased after it.If it was around someone was looking to score, man or woman.I don't know it happen but it might of...just a hunch.

  • Yes indeed, a different time zone. 1964 was a completely different time zone. If you were around in 1964, you know what I mean.

  • I was around and thankful I was.Gas was 22 cents a gallion,my car cost 1400 dollars(63'TR4).and I was having the best time of my life...And you?

  • I was around, but just a youngster. I did not start driving & buying gas 'till 1968. It was good times :)

  • @sportsaddict1942 Happy days our petrol was 6 old pence a gallon

  • Connie was a fine "Catholic Girl" so I'm sure she respected a 15 year old boy.

  • What the hell is wrong with you?

  • What a lovely song and the lyrics so romantic, sung by two greats. Thankyou AlanPaladin for posting.

  • connie should have recorded more country..she fit country perfect.

  • I've not heard this one,but it's sweet!

I have one of those pillows and I can't let you have it, it's mine!!!

  • this song reminds me of my babygirl, and my dad, who would sing this and other jim reeves songs while taking car trips when i was a boy. i adore her, and i miss him. thanks, alan, for sharing.
