My NHL 5 lime mortar is too coarse to be pushed through a gun (it just squeezes the water out and then blocks up). What makes his lime mortar more plastic than mine?
All very good untill the wet lime is gunned into the joints. Water equals weak mortar and shrinkage. might as well used playdough, it would be stronger. Always have your mix the consistancy of brown sugar and push it straight away into the joints. Guns are for cement mortar.
