  • Love how Raine goes ape shit at the end lol, very nice.

  • Wow, very interesting!

I wasn't familiar with this early side of Our Lady Peace at all.

    Great find! X3

  • man, music used to be so damn good! no matter how awful mainstream rock is now, we always have the awesome music of the past!

  • who do you think the birdman is?

  • Did the occupy's VOTE?

  • Occupy DC for globalrevolution in solidarity with Egypt & Syria!

Corporations are not people, so let go of my plants!

  • I forgot Raine had long hair once hes sexy either way :)

  • How can you listen to this song and not get pumped up?? Goosebumps..

  • Raine is looking exceptionally crazy in this video (: :P

  • uhmm am i the only Our Lady Peace addict thats 14?? AND a girl?? Rock music makes my life(: i wasnt even born when it came out but i dont care <3 i love OLP!! (:

  • awesome..you have me back!! I could listen to this again and again!!

  • woo hoo back to OLP that I remember!

  • rofl, look at that yellow shirt

  • WOAH! Raine kind of looks like Jared Leto in this video! ... : /

  • I'm addicted listening to this track!!

  • it's just when there were young naveed came. Now there older and there music is changing as they do.

  • They should be going to bobcageon.....to bad. :-(

  • That's not how the song ends! There's no fadeout on the album. I hate when they try to cheat me out of jams.

  • Video's overall style is very similar to Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box, which given the year it was released, isn't that surprising.

Anyway, can't go wrong with old school OLP.

  • My music business teacher singed this band!

  • You chics love 'them for more than music but I agree they are awesome

  • i feel him close

     i feel him ahhhh

  • My fave OLP song EVER! I LOVE the long hair on Raine! The ady Muchmusic aired this video I fell in love with OLP and they have been my favourite band since and they ALWAYS will be!

  • Awesome song. But screw Vevo. Eminem is glaring at me from the left side.

  • By far the best album.

  • They arent the only ones, look to Mando Diao, Kasabian, and Noel gallagher to continue making great music in this age of pop garbage.

  • They had such a great sound on this album, I wish they kept it.

  • Fuck yeah! I love this album!

  • Man am I the ONLY person who thinks Rayne's hair looks better long?

  • @Sshelly34213 yes

  • @Sshelly34213 i agreeee!

  • @Sshelly34213 Yep...lol.

  • This was OLP's greatest album. The songs were so different form most any other in those days. Ya it did have a mix of grunge and alternative, but there was something very unique about olp's sound. sux they suck now. All that potential and talent.

  • shut up....

    they don't suck...

and Naveed is one of their worse albums.

Clumsy is always their best, followed by Burn Burn and SM.

if you really think about it, HIPT in many ways is better than Naveed.

Don't tell me I'm wrong because you guys don't like change, and i can actually listen to the new stuff w/o being a biased shit towards the same thing

  • I still like Naveed more than Gravity, don't worry....and I still like Gravity a bit.

I DO like the Grungy sound of Naveed, and Raine's power in his vocals instead of the nasally falsetto, but it's just that I feel some songs need more polishing, or even yet, not be on the album

  • @kennygmang NO I don't like OLP being reduced to a justin bieber look alikes with almost the same sound. Hearing Naveed and yes clumsy; OLP became one of the best and original alternative rock groups for the time (my time as well). It just sux that they had to go to hell with a very poppy sound and terrible lyrics as comparale to Naveed.

  • If they are reduced to Justin Bieber-like sounds, then why the fuck would I listen to them??

I can't stand that little prick whatsoever! He makes Canada look like an embarrasement to the world.

But seriously, I know you guys like the same shit, and can't adapt or evolve with the band, but just because it's pop, does it make it inferior to Naveed? Not neccasarily.

  • @Minhist

And don't tell me I'm complete horseshit, because I actually KNOW for a fact that they aren't shit today. Burn Burn is easily one of their top 3 albums...no matter how you order it. If you learn to appreciate the album, then you'd know that it compared easily to Clumsy or Naveed, just with a different sound. I only wish that Monkey Brains and Paper Moon would be their next singles, since Dreamland is already 3rd

  • @kennygmang I mean the guitar solo in Denied goes unmatched by any of their songs to this day.

They made their instrumentals more simplistic, this is a fact.

  • @Sshelly34213

Denied's solo is good, but it's nowhere by their best (either Mazur or Turner)

If you want simplistic instrumentals by Turner, 4AM or Life, maybe a Happiness song like Lying Awake (great song).

Solos by Mazur that are better than Denied? Paper Moon is obvious, also simple, and Monkey Brains is simplistic, but much more agressive :D

  • @kennygmang You fucking idiot, it's "Worst" learn how to spell and I think Naveed is their BEST album.

If you think it's their worst, then you have NO musical knowledge whatsoever. This album had a social message, had thought provoking lyrics and complex guitar rifts. VERY complex guitar rifts. This is their best album.

  • @Sshelly34213

oh aha good one I knew knew that I misspelled the shit as soon as i looked at it, don't be such a bitch about it.

AND DID I SAY "THE WORST"? NO SO SHUT THE FUCK UP

And it's FAR from their best...message was alright, lyrics were good, pretty complex songs, but NOT EVEN FUCKING CLOSE TO THEIR BEST...

that's like saying they've gone downhill.

any sensible fan would know it's either Clumsy, SM or Burn Burn.

  • @kennygmang "Naveed is one of their worst albums"....yea you did.

It's actually their best because it's incredibly complex, like I said listen to the guitar rifts.

Being abstract doesn't automatically make you complex...the songwriting in Clumsy is pretty iffy.

Nothing even compares to Naveed, they HAVE gone downhill and this is recognized by people who have listened to Naveed BEFORE they listened to their newer cds.

  • @kennygmang For me the sound of everything on Naveed is so raw and powerful, that's what it makes it by far their best album for me. However, that said, OLP is the shit, all of their albums rock, and Raine Maida is a beast, end of story.

  • @AHINEEDAUSERNAME

    sure...

yeah I honestly think Burn Burn or Spiritual (maybe Clumsy and HIPT) are their best, then again I was born a year before Naveed came out :P

  • @AHINEEDAUSERNAME He's probably the best Canadian singer of all time.

  • @InfamousNik I think Ghetty Lee holds that title. His voice is very unique and he is an awsome singer.

  • @RabidRabbit271 I agree Getty Lee has an awesome voice but he doesn't have the range Raine does. And for that reason Raine will get the title

  • I wish they would go back to the style they had in the 90s, their new songs are okay but their old albums are better.

  • @thundershark9 i couldn't agree with you more! their old albums rock whereas their new stuff is just alright.....it seems they lost their sound a bit!

  • @mattsrage76 Their old guitarist left after "Spiritual Machines", which was their last "classic" OLP album. I think he was a huge element in their distinctive, bizarre sound, whereas now, they don't really seem to care about their distinctive, bizarre sound.

  • Man do I miss Naveed! Such a killer album the whole way through... not a bad song on it.

  • Awesome!

  • This is a 90's band

  • The overall sound on this one is VERY different from the OLP I remember and love from the much missed 90's... but still VERY good.

Loved OLP from the very first time I heard Superman's Dead, and will continue being a fan for the foreseeable future.

OLP, to me anyways, seems to be the LAST vestige of truly wonderful and inspired music anymore.

I really wish there was more room to write in this tiny comment box, I could go on forever.

  • I wouldn't say very different by any means. This is classic OLP. The OLP that Arnold Lanni produced.

Arnold Lanni has been a huge credit to the Canadian music industry, OLP being the foremost example

  • @circutracer150 this song came out in 94'...

  • @jessew908

LMAO!!! Thank you, I was thinking.. what the hell? I know Naveed was the 1st song I heard by them and this was the 2nd or 3rd maybe I heard Starseed before that, but I know this is one of their earliest songs, why are people thumbs upping that bogus comment?

  • @circutracer150

You've got your times all messed up! This song is OLD. I mean old, we are talking 17 years old. This is the OLP you should remember...

  • @circutracer150

This song came out in 94. Superman's Dead came out in 97. So yes. This would sound different from "the song you remember" because the sound you remember is from late 90's, not early mid/early 90's. You're comparing things backwards. Appreciate the roots, as I, too, am a lover of OLP, even though I was only 5 years old when this song came out. Yes, that's totally right. :P

  • @DigitalCyanide i was one :)

  • @circutracer150 You do realize this song predates Superman's Dead, right? This was 90's OLP for sure.

  • @circutracer150 This was from OLPs first album Naveed. This album was released during the Grunge era. Naveed is a much more grungier, heavier, and raunchier album. Clumsy was released during the post-grunge alterative rock era, still an awesome album. Just a different genre.

  • @circutracer150

This song is from 1994 you realize? ;p
