  • НУ ВЫ И БЫДЛО БЛЯТЬ =))

  • It was originally written for a French tuba in C if im not mistaken

  • @TheHatTuba You are correct - one of those many delicate flowers fallen victim to "progress" much like the orchestral F trumpet.

  • My favourite part of Pictures at an Exhibition. And Pictures at an Exhibition is my favourite musical piece ever... Bydlo is really creepy. Thanks for sharing this! I think this is one of the best versions on Youtube.

  • this part sometimes makes me imagine the marching of a victorious army...

  • Imagine this were the theme to an ice cream van. Did you laugh?

  • @k9markiii yes Yes YES ice cream hahaahahahahahh

  • @k9markiii

  • Es el que mas me gusta tocarlo, es el mas lindo....

  • This is probably my favorite part of Pictures. I love how it gets louder as the "ox cart" slowly gets closer to you.

  • ssooooo good. Euphonium player needs to actually have a microphone though.

  • Well done, thanks for posting, believe was originally a piano piece, tuba's good though.

  • Bydlo rules!

  • First of all, Moussorgsky didn't write the part of tuba he wrote it for Piano, Ravel orchestrated this part.

Second of all, Ravel orchestrated this for a French tuba in C ( one tone HIGHER than the euphonium but with six valves)

Playing this solo on euphonium is very appropriate.

  • you have to post a video of you playing it to compare before you can say you're better.

and secondly, yes Mussorgsky did intend for the biggest sound possibly - on a tenor tuba, not a BBb.

this is Ravel's orchestration, not Mussorgky's original - considering you'd be watching a piano if that were the case.

There is no 'easy way' out of Bydlo

  • @bar101 this is the Sir Henry Wood's orchestration, with euphonium....the version of Ravel is withTuba...

  • from the cd "Orchestral Excerpts for Tuba" featuring Gene Pokorny. He said you should see who can play it more musically. You or your tacet players.
