hospitals are the most terrifying places - all the blood and people facing death makes them a house of horrors. No wonder this works so well being set in a hostpital, it's got all the right things going for it. The original movie back whenever was so chillingly effective and believable for its simplicity and raw emotions. And yes, the maternity ward is scary too: I've watched my wife give birth twice.

this is the best halloween movie, zombie turned myers into what he really is a cold blooded killer who not only stabs you once but stabs you multiple times and not just cuts your throat but calls your entire head off, and the curb stomp scene too, he makes myers into an unstoppable killing machine

The origionals are scary because Michael is some Psycopath killing for no good reason. These remakes are scary because of the disturbing deaths. I mean, when you look at how these people died/dying, you could tell that they suffered. It also had pretty freaky moments. I thoght hitting the cow was nerveracking in it's way.

@cpeezy69 Dude john carpenters were more of the classic horror movie(s), but personaly i liked rob zombies ALOT BETTER. Way scarier and gory. Yes you dont need gore to have a scary movie i know. But i liked how he gave michael a backstory. Also, although robs 2nd halloween was ok, it wasnt that great. But it didnt suck. His 2007 one though, well thats one of my top 5-6 favorite movies of all time.

Halloween 5 and 6 are better than this shit, I understand that it's supposed to be different than the originals but Michael's character is horribly displayed in this, in the remakes, you're not afraid of him, you actually have sympathy for him which is bad because you're supposed to be afraid, gore doesn't equal scary and him being tall isn't either, this isn't Halloween, this is pretty much a typical horror film with a high budget.

I thought the first one was decent but this one was eh. I mean the kills were pretty entertaining and stuff but they turned Loomis into a media whore, Laurie was pretty bitchy throughout most of the movie, and the reason for Michael's madness was stolen straight from Friday the 13th. In the 1st one I kind of liked seeing more of Michael's past but Michael is supposed to represent that bad things do happen to good people without a reason. The backstory sort of ruined that message.
