Now that I think about it, Dennis Merzel is his real name. So why not drop the fake Genpo title along with the Roshi title. 'Genpo' means "Way of Universal Wisdom". And since he cheated on his wife for FIVE YEARS with three of his students, I think it's safe to say he doesn't know 'The Way'.
Scratch that, he had affairs with three students. Then he responded to a letter signed by dozens of Zen teachers that recommended intensive counseling and a sabbatical from teaching that they were just "jealous" of his (huge) income from Big Mind.
genpo... go back to zen buddhism, this movement is ridiculous man. You know what Reality is. it has slapped you in the face just as it did many other zen "masters." come on man.
man, i've been on a spiritual quest lately...alot has changed in my life and it's making me question consciousness deeply. i've looked into ken wilber who i find a bit too egotistical despite his mostly decent message, eckhart tolle who i like alot and admire his writing immensely...but find his personal speaking style...dry, and andrew cohen who i want to like...but just comes off like a dick. then i stumble on this video. finally....someone who makes sense and seems like a good guy overall..

Roshi, It is my understanding your experience of "Big Mind" came as a result of years of Zen practice. This is an intimate realization, not an understanding through explanation. No one explained "Big Mind" to you. Like many people here on Youtube, you put information here and do not respond to comments. It is a moot point to comment. The method is simple. The more you explain, the further from it you get. Why not help people see it for themself? Thank you for sharing.

Well, your body is aware continuously -- it can't stop for even a split second or you're dead. So continuous awareness is definitely possible.
It seems like a question instead of "Do you want to identify with that kind of awareness?" . . . or is something more important (like fear . . . or laziness . . . or pride . . . or boredom . . . ).
Resting wave is what you are, an ocean to Ourself, a sentient be-ing of the vast unseen, no more,no less than wealth treasure tower,that timeless hour,
when tide does more than turn, and recognize it's own true face,
ayahuasca is a special brew helping to shift the scope on things...and mind, who calls it big, who calls it small...mind is neither big nor small, neither green nor blue.......
