Why is Norquist so quiet on the fight over extending the payroll tax cut. I thought this bozo
was for CUTTING taxes. Or is it because it's something OBAMA wants and therefore by definition untenable to Grover? Or is it because Norquist isn't funded by the middle class?

i think grover's lake metaphor is faulty. spending money can create new money. it is common for individuals and companies to take on debt when they are expanding financially.

Those companies are expanding to bring in capital from elsewhere. The government sucking money out of the economy as a whole has no external source. They're not expanding a business, just sloshing water around the lake to somewhere less efficient.

what a distortion of history the goverment didn't tell banks to make bad loans it encouraged them to make loans to poor people it was the banks which turned subrime loans into packages which were used to leverage huge debts between banks. it was the bankers who had little need to check these debts BECAUSE OF A LACK OF REGULATION which got America into the mess in the first place
