Could you tell me what the name is of the snowflake pattern? Or the designer would be even better. I've looked for it for hours and can't find it at all. Thanks so much. Dee =)
How often does the blade need to be changed if being used primarily on cardstock? Does cardstock work well with the adhesive mat? Don't some papers and cardstock have trouble being ripped since they might stick to the adhesive? Is the adhesive reusable indefinitely? Or does it need to be replaced eventually? by the way, are you in Singapore? Or HK? (your accent sounds like Chinese/British accent)
wow! i was impressed with the large snowflake, but after seeing the precision cuts on the smaller one i can see how much better this machine is compared to the cricut or slice (no comparison really). thanks so much for making this video...i appreciate your time. i`m off to visit your blog now :) thanks again!
my cameo SUCKS!!!!! i just got it an the mat i have is too dam sticky every time i take off the cut it keeps riping my cut outs!! idk but im very disapointed with CAMEO
@sativasinsemilla90 Contact SilhouetteAmerica and tell them about your mat and whatever that is wrong with your cutter. They have great customer support and will help you.
I have the same problem, plus when its cutting something like a lattice pattern it tears the paper or card. I am very disappointed so far. Hopefully it is something wrong I am doing not the machine. Does anyone have any advice for me. Would be really grateful.
hello! I am very interested in buying Cameo, but I would like to know what is the maximal vinyl length that Cameo can cut at once? i understood that the maximal cutting in width is 12" but what is maximal width?
@Nachelnik You may want to contact Silhouette America and check with them. According to their website, it seems that the Cameo can cut up to 10 feet long.
@ngraysva The Silhouette software lets you create your own designs as well as use their provided designs. It is one of my favorite features of the Silhouette since you do not have to purchase any additional software.
I got my cameo last week and just got to play with it. I do have a question about the blade installation. Is there any particular way the blade holder needs to be placed in machine? For example with the cricut the blade needs to line up with arrows I believe, otherwise the cuts will not come out straight. I hope this makes sense.
And yes I know which one you are referring to about the circle I own one and it drives me mad! LOL
@CrazyAnimalLadyJen Your question could probably be better answered by Silhouette America but personally, I just dropped the blade holder into the clip and tighten the knob/screw thingy without lining up anything. The only time that I needed to line up the arrows is when I change the blade settings. In that case, I line up the arrow on the blade holder with the arrow on the grey cap so that I can turn the former to change the blade depth.
I can't wait to get it. I made the mistake in buying the ecraft. So excited! Thanks for all your reviews on your blog. I love your blog.

Is the Cameo still compatible with the Cutting Master 2 plugin for Illustrator?

Omg my cricut would never cut anything like that out. It would mangle it to death =/ Maybe I need to get a silhouette.

can you make your own designs and have it cut them out too? or are you restricted to using just the provided designs?
