How come they are not fighting eachother... i had lovebirds years ago.. peachfaced and masked and i couldnt house them together because they would fight... how come the lovebird doesn't attack the other one? Nice vid by the way.
I have 2 lovebirds. Bought them a year apart. First kept them seperately but in the same room so they could talk to each other. About a week later they were comfortable enough with each other. Now they share the same cage when I'm not at home. And when I'm at home they get to fly around the house :) I have a male and a female :) Not sure, but I think I've read somewhere that 2 females don't get along very well. Maybe that was happened in your case?
hey my sister just got a love bird and my cockatiel doesnt like it, is there anyway to get the two to like eachother but not bond to strongly, cause my pappa said that when birds get a bond to strong they wont want anything to do with you, and i dont want my baby girl(cockatiel) to be mean to me! :'(
I love quakers...they have some of the best little personalities... Ours is "doh doh" and he is in love with our Umbrella Cockatoo. I wish all owners were good owners, and then poor Quakers wouldn't be outlawed in so many states!
My quaker Parrot is green all over blue winqs & hazel eyes & black face & tanish feet. & My love bird is turquious & green & red on the wings & gray feet.
they're the cutest couple ever! i have a cockatoo and she's just a bitch. all of a sudden she just attacks me every time i try to pet her and stuff. i wish she was as cool as these little lovers
You should try to figure out why she is attacking you, is she bonded to you ? are you invading her space ? you need to think about what you are doing, to make her bite you, i would not label her a 'bitch' just because she bites, all parrots bite, it is a part of being owned by a parrot.
she's just going through her little adolescent phase. she's about a year and a half so she's a little freaky. all birds go through it apparently. we're taking very good care of her though
Quakers seem to have this weird liking for lovebirds. I have seen it many times. :-) I hope you didn't separate them. Like people they build a bond for life quite often. :-)
I wouldnt put them in a cage together, since the different size of their beaks, it could turn out horribly. But i would do a supervised interaction time with them both.
they being hearing their owners have sex or see them wile theyre kissing and having sex only way they get theyre manners like that next time theyre going to have anal sex ull never know
hii i have a quaker n a peach faced lovebird too..i got them both as a baby..but everytime i put them together my quaker hurts the lovebird :/ how did u made ur quaker sweet to ur lovebird?..pardon my english
dont put them together they are going to get harmed just to be safe if youre going to have them together u would be better off haveing them as baby together
We have numerous Quaker parrots[also known as monk parakeets] flying wild all over our area.I would have as many as 10 at a time, in my magnolia tree b4 it got sick and I had to have it cut down.I have a couple of vhs tapes of them walking around my back yard.
beautiful soo cutee ... i have a creamino lovebird that i love soo muchh!! i have a video in my channel showing how he loves to fly outdoors ..great video!!! 5 starts*****

he wont feel lonely as long as u give him enough attention. my lovebird lives alone also, you just never want to mix different species in the same cage. of course u can ask other questions, im glad to help! =)
That's interesting! I just assumed watching these guys that they lived in the same cage and I subscribe to your channel. I need to go look at your cage~house~setup. I have two parakeets (budgies) and they are pretty happy right now, but I long for an even bigger cage for them and more birds in time. I too always hear one species one cage, then I see the videos with a macaw, a grey and a too in one huge one. (jail break video.)
I was replying above to the different species in one cage comment you gave to axxuka, but my reply went up here. Anyway, I'll be adding smaller birds to my family to start but I quite understand that smaller can be just as dangerous to bigger and vice versa. Love your birds and videos!
One more time: birds that are alone do NOT try to commit suicide. I have heard of feather plucking if the bird is just stuck in a cage with no interaction with the owner and no out-of -cage time.

I don't know if you did have your bird checked out, but a brown spot on the beak can be an indication of bruising, which could be a sign of some liver problems. My Quaker had something similar, he's now on milk thistle and laculose.
