And I think we all know how that path ended. Sorry for being a mood killer here but I wouldn't exactly call a non-stop partying 14-15yr on drugs and alcohol a "happier" time.

If anything, I find this flashback very clever. You can see all the seeds of destruction planted right before they bloom. Its very good character development and very bittersweet.

Its interesting to read how ppl want these characters to go back to this 'happier' time. Yes this is the sea before the storm, and I do enjoy how carefree they are. However, in spite of how innocent everything seems to be, it is anything but. Its just as dysfunctional, it just hasn't reared its ugly head yet. Blair, though recovering, is still in danger of relapsing in her bulimia, Nate is falling in love with S right under B's nose, and Serena's is on an irresponsible and destructive path.

Perfect song for this episode!! it shows everyone how their lives use to be before all the drama happened! =) It really explains why Blair turned so mean and everyone changed! I ESPECIALLY love Blair's face when she takes her final look at Dan then gets into the taxi!!

I think thinking about these moments is what made Nate start missing Blair again...I mean after everything that happened, she got kind of depressed and guarded...and I think them as friends (Serena,Blair,Nate) was sooo cute to watch and the whole run in with Dan scene was nice too...This whole episode was great and really added a layer of depth to all the characters (minus Chuck, poor guy) LOVES!!!
