iPhone 2G: its very cool and impersive its like an iphone 4 in the size and very pretty look but the iphone 2g has a very VERY slow speed and its suck. there's not HD in the iphone just suck 360p even 240p i think :D and the apps working very had and slow :(

iPhone 3GS: also amazing iphone!!! its more thin very good camera (even its 360p) very good speed the apps working fine but some times people says its very hard to play games in iphone 3gs (not the all games)

I have a 2g. It doesn't seem like it but in the long term, the slow speed eventually gets really annoying. When I want to take a picture for example, I can never get it at the desired time. That being said, the 1st Gen iPhone still remains an incredible device.

I think iPhone 2G is a very good phone - now too. iPhone 4 is VERY EXPENSIVE, and 3GS too. I can buy 2G with a very good price, I have one what is 3 years old and works excellent, no service. And, there is no much difference in 2G and 3GS. I will not buy a new phone until this 2G is working great for me.

I bought a 16gb 2g for $75 around June when the new 4 was released...haven't regretted it since! I love it....plus believe it or not it runs much faster than the 3g, when the 3g is on iOS4. I don't know why the 3g is so finicky on the iOS4 software, but it lags big time. As for my 2g it is an amazing phone....it's still my favorite iphone in terms of design, though it is a bit fat compared to todays phones. Plus it works on tmobile beautifully! I pay $40/month for my iphone and I love it! :)

The iphone 3gs is a little faster over wifi, but in normal apps they seem about the same, just there is no music content on the 2g and the calender is set for the days schedule so it looks bad.

If anyone still watches this video, Theres a firmware for the 2G that has mods which have useless daemons disabled and it boots almost faster then the 3GS on 4.0. its got wallpapers and multitask built in also. I just thought id let you know. The apps come up faster too. You could probably compare the firmware i have with the 3GS in the video and the 2G would do a lot better. If you wanna use it Google whited00r i think it is. Personally i like the 2G better then the 3gs cause the metal back.

The internet is the same speed on both if your using wifi. I plan on getting an iphone 2g cause i'm gonna make it into a pay as you go phone and i like ipods so basically its just an i pod that I can call and text on without having to get a texting app.

@PhoneMrMadness ha as IF lol...the 2g looks huge and clunky and bulky and round and ugly. the 3gs looks slimmer, smoother, sexier. the aluminum back on 2g's look so HORRIBLE when scratched...ugh. It pwned when it came out i agree, but its obsolete now really. Nobody needs that bulk in their pocket lol. Plus as far as speed, apple made hardware upgrades, so the 3gs is physically faster. With the 3gs i remember being like WHOA, the 2g was NEVER this fast when i got it. Facts lol.

3GS is faster than iPhone 2G, but for seconds (proofs are on the video). So its not worth to spend 100 U$D more on the 3GS because its "faster". The main differences are the camera (3 MP instead of 2), 3G (which allows satelite GPS) and video editing which theres a way to activate it on the 2G iPhone - hellome7

For all the 2G and 3G users: Face it, the 3GS is the fastest Iphone there is. There is no real '10 second' difference, ofcourse not! But the 3GS is definatly faster in a way that even when you're not within range of a Wi Fi signal, you still feel motivated to browse on the web.
