Dostum is a target, because he's the one of few people who thinks the prosperity and security of Afghanistan. Neither Iran nor Russia does want a developed Afghanistan in this region. That's the fact. He cleaned all the Taliban shit out of Mazar-ı Sharif. Otherwise the north of country would be even worse than today.

Dostum is not only a respected leader to Uzbek but us non-uzbeks too. I wish him well. However I recently felt dismayed by Dostum support for Karzai presidency which made Karzai effectively president once again. He wasted the golden opportunity to put an end to Pashtun hedgemonious rule over his own people.

The people of Afghanistan are mostly bearing racistic, linguistic and tribal ideas, if not how can they ignore the services of this great man in Afghanistan. Some say he is a separatist, as you see, if he was so, he would have divided the country at the time of his power and no one could do anything. He is a hero, whom muste be respected by all sides, tribes, ethnic groups and parties. What if he was a pashton or a tajik? If he was so, you would certainly call him the Living Baba. God Save Him!
