The Ford Transit has been in Australia the last 6 years or so and it is the biggest shitbox in terms of reliability. Clutches disintegrating, Semi-automatic models locking in gears, Hoses bursting off causing engine fires, electrical problems, etc etc, The cost of parts are though the roof. Even Australia Post is sueing Ford for costs and have gone to Mercedes Benz instead. Ford Dealers in Australia despise them because they are always returned for Warranty issues (realiability). Total Shitbox.
The smaller metallic blue one is the same as mine, 2.2Tdci-130ps/310nm-can be chipped to 170ps/380nm- comfy, quick and well equipped in Glx trim also Euro IV compliant.
I will be so glad when in 2010, Ford finally offers the Transit for sale in the United States. To not only retire that shitbox van known as the Econoline, but to also give Chrysler a run for their money with that top heavy Sprinter van they sell. I hope that Ford kicks their ass with this truck in the US !!!!!!
I'm a Ford fan, too. Unfortunately, Ford has yet to bring the Transit over. We're getting the Transit Connect (a different, smaller van). But I do hope they announce it soon.
I live in Europe and my dad used to own a 96 Econoline conversion van. Just drove a new Transit today and to be honest, the Transit is not even close to the Econoline in terms of overal comfort and build quality.

during the vid there was only one transit shown when building.
