  • I had the transphenoidal hypophysectomy surgery done about a week ago to remove a pituitary tumor. Took about 4 hours total, and they removed about 1/3 of my pituitary with the tumor. Cortisol levels were over 500 before surgery and 3.5 after. (Boy, that 24-hour "withdrawal" period they have you go through is HELL!). Now I'm on 60 mg. of hydrocortisone a day and still not feeling terrific. Hoping they can reduce this as my body starts naturally producing some hormone again.

  • i had my pituitary gland removed and im hella messed up now ...but i have no more head achs but i am dependable on pills and i have no controll over the way i talk im very blunt and rude and i yell alot i was never like that and now i cant stop and im getting very fat im almost 200 ibs now when i was 110 lbs im thankful to be alive but i just have so many side effects it's crazy ....mine was brain sirgery it lasted 19 hours and i was 7 months pregnant and i contracted menenjites and diabeties.
