@Bobman4671 In any frame you can keyframe a bunch of different parameters (position, rotation, alpha amount...) of any single point/region/object + set the type of interpolation you prefer, if that is what you mean with your question.
@ChrisLeuchtturm Yes, it does, but don't expect it to be able to interpolate 2 images and create an animation from two stills: you have to trace your artwork as shown in some videos called "Anime in Synfig Studio", or, if you prefer, create a sort of cut-out animation (there's a tutorial on the site). Happy New Year Chris!
I never thought of drawing through the critter and then erasing the extra lines afterwards. That might be a good way for me to practice some character studies. Neat trick!
@NewMoon96 Thank you! I used only the BLine Tool, never the Draw Tool because I find the former easier and I think it allows a more direct control on the final result. Good luck!
@NewMoon96 Sorry I didn't quite get your question... If you mean how I made some strokes disappear as if they were being erased, it's an easy trick: there's a layer (region) with an "alpha over"-blend method which expands and "hides" them. I think there's the source file on the site, so you can download it if you want and vivisect it gnadellos ;-)
@darthjacobmaak I remember having made most of the animation in some 4-5 days, but then it took me a month or so to add the effects, the opening door at the end and so on... I think one could do something like that in a week, if your initial enthusiasm didn't wear off, as in my case.
Great work. How did you find the installation of Synfig? I hear it can be tricky. Also - what about the multi-window interface? I've encountered several people who found it really distracting and difficult. You have obviously mastered the program - some of your effects are brilliant. (eg: the spraycan and eraser effects)
@AlanSturgess I'm still using an older version so I can't judge the current state of the program, but the 4-pack-installation wasn't tricky at all, I just followed the instructions provided on the site. With the multi-window interface I have some problems but it's no big deal once you've set the windows the way you want. And thanks, but I'm really no expert, everybody can do this with a little patience and experimentation.
@pokemanmaster03 You're damn right, but the only solution would be to redraw the keyframes and correct the timing... not that I feel like doing it again, though ;-)
Thanks! Yes it is, and there are some interesting attempts in this sense (look up for "morevna project" on google), but of course a single person can't do much without huge amounts of patience ;)
Well, Pluto's animation is a trace, it makes things really easier (because you don't actually draw the keyframes, you simply copy them)... sooner or later I will try to create something 100% original - that will be a real challenge.
Thanks!! But don't forget that this is mainly a "mix" of other people's know-how... I think it would have taken me ages to achieve the same result without their work (literally)!

How do I put my animation into a file format that I can edit like .wmv or .mp4 or .mkv or .avi

Does it have frame by frame animation options?

Does SynFig let you import art you've done and scanned?

Oohhh, okay.....with a title like 'Pluto Takes Life', I had expected this animation to have a very unfortunate ending....

@taiglander Thanks :) But how did you delete the Bline Tool?

really impressive. Your animations made quite a fuss on the synfig.org forums (search for "taiglander"!)
I really like the drawing/erasing part, would you mind sharing the source sifz file for inspiration?

Awesome program. Only problem with synfig is that it renders very slowly even on fast PC. Great skills btw

Eh, it's too floaty, stiff and mechanical looking. Try adding more squash and stretch.
